Arell and C.J. drew an easy breath when Sapphire winked. They didn't know she had her method to it, but they didn't care. They were just happy to not have any blood. Once again, the boys (and some new friends) dodged a bullet . . . quite literally come to think of it.

A yellow flag popped out of the barrel of the gun that Sapph was holding. Joker smiled and said, "Good job, lady. Now, if you'd kindly give me my gun back..." He held out his hand to take the gun, using his other hand to recover the other gun.

Though Alex had relaxed knowing that Saph had it covered, she still sighed deeply in relief when a flag poppedo out at her. She frowned and gave the gun in Sapphire's hand a bit of a look. "Oh, please, can I give it back to him?"
"Maybe later." she replied, rather unwillingly handing back the gun.

Joker took the gun, and began waving it around. "That was fun, wasn't it?" Then, he pulled the trigger again, and the flag shot out and hit the wall about a foot above the cat. It stuck in it, the pole wiggling a little from the suddenly arrested momentum. "OOPS! Heh heh heh..."

The flag shot right between the boys and landed in the wall behind them. They looked at the gun, at each other, the flag and had a mutual "Holy Crap" moment.
"What in the world?!?" they asked in unison.
"Look, I know Dundee always wanted me t' learn the flags, but I don't think havin' one in my BRAIN is th' right way to do it!" C.J. yelped, his southern twang cut in with the surprise.
"Yer tellin' me, dammed thing clipped my nose!" Arell replied, holding onto his nose.

Sapphire sighed and leaned back in her seat. This was going to be a long night. "Right, my turn. Hm?" she asked, then glanced around to see who had and had not been chosen yet. She wasn't sure what to ask the child to do. Or a cat really. So that left....
"Alex, truth or dare?"
"Truth. I'm all dared out for a while." Alex replied.
"Anything between you and that new little friend of yours?"
Alex paused a moment and blushed. "Maybe....I still don't think dating co-workers is a good idea though." she replied, then shifted uneasily and turned her attention towards the black cat in the other chair, who looked as though he had just used one of his nine lives from shock. Truth or dare, kitty?"
Saph smiled a bit. "That wasn't much of an answer."
"Truth or Dare." Alex repeated, ignoring her.

Joker persisted with Alex's terrible answer. "She's right. A 'maybe' is no answer. It's a way to DODGE answering." He leaned in closer, almost TOO close. "What's wrong? Scared to admit you have the hots for someone? Hehehehehehehee!"

"SHADDAP, Arell! One . . . and a half clowns at a time!!" C.J. growled.

Almost as if on cue, another figure walked up: Paragon himself.
"Ooh, are we all playing Truth or Dare?" he asked excitedly. "I love that game! Can I play?"

Sapphire paused a moment and looked over at CJ and Arell.
Alex looked over at Joker, and for a split second looked as though Joker was another inch away from getting socked in the face. Then the door opened and her attention was drawn away.
She stared, and her blush returned.
Sapphire grinned a bit and waved him in. "Sure thing. Come on in." she replied.
Alex groaned.

Lucas grinned. "Sweet! So, whose turn is it?" he asked, standing beside Alex with a big grin on his face. He saw Rosie and gave a huge grin, waving happily.

Damn! Well, that's one off my back! C.J. thought, for once relieved that he didn't have to reveal having that crush . . . or having his knucklehead friend reveal that for him. He smiled.
"I think it's Alex's turn . . . right?" C.J. asked, shortly after giving Arell a look that SCREAMED "one more word about that and I'll knock you flat!"

Rosie looked up at Lucas and grinned, waving back.
"That's right." Sapphire replied, adjusting her posture in the couch. "Why don't you ask him next since he just came in?" she asked, grinning at Alex.
Alex looked over at Sapphier, and gave her a similar look to the one C.J. was giving Arell. Sapphire just smiled back at her. Alex frowned, then sighed and glanced up at Lucas. Well....better she be the one to ask him rather than Sapphire or any of the others.
Truth or Dare?"

Meanwhile, Arell was taking this all in. He laughed a little bit at C.J. giving him the glare, he was stronger. He also found it pretty humorous that Alex and Sapphire were also sharing a similar dynamic to the one he was in. Imagine that. he thought.
