MINI BOSS: HP 108/108

Without warning, a mound next to Mot suddenly shifted. In fact, as the mound grew larger, steadily rising from the ground to two, then three feet, it seemed to be moving fast.

As debris and strange skeletal parts rolled off its folds of snow, it reared up, ready to attack the students. There was no doubt in question: this was most likely the reason why there were no survivors in this strange abandoned area. And even if there were survivors, it was best to ask questions later, when it was much, much, safer.

Please use your student's FEAR OR regular battle melee ability HERE to fight back! Follow the Battling Guide's instructions, you can only attack the boss ONCE per turn, though you have unlimited posting rights.
- You better end it fast before IT EATS YOU.

Huh. Something seemed weird suddenly. Mot turned his head, only to see a NIGHTMARISH APPARITION FORM RIGHT BESIDE HIM!

"EEEK!" Mot yelped, backing up and practically shoving the ghouls behind him to keep them safe. He summoned his weapon and fired a shot.

His guitar appeared way too fast. He must have been anticipating a boss... yeah, right. Roch had been about to start a fight, anyway, so the big snow ball with a gigantic mouth seemed like as good a way to warm up as any!

He brought his guitar up, holding it like a baseball bat and rushing forward, intent on taking the monster down and turning it into slushiessss.

Well, in any case, they didn't have much time to figure out what to do about the missing pendant. When the strange abomination rose up from the snow, the dragon jumped back and stared at it. He didn't know what it was, but as far as he was concerned, it needed to go down now!

In his eagerness to strike down the thing, Jericho's hand raised up above his head as he began to pour a large amount of his FEAR into the point above his palm. Flames began to swirl about to form something more solid. Once the d20 was created, he launched it straight for the thing.

The dice hit the ground, missing, only to ricochete right back at the dragon, hitting him hard in the chest.

Bouncing off again, it rolled to the ground, revealing a 1. Critical Failure.

"Not really." The ghoul mumbled at boils idea of it 'being a good day for a stroll'. Here it felt like a good day for a hot cup of tea.

Or a good day for a ice monster, apparently.

Wrens mouth dropped open as she stared at the ...THING a little closer. Wha- Whatisthatthing? Clamping her jaws together she silenced a shriek... they were supposed to FIGHT that thing!?

Taking a step away from Sparrow, Wren blinked a few times... not sure how she could really help from this distance. Not wanting to get any closer... she pretty much grabbed a hand full of snow, pressed it between her palms, and flung the snowball at the creature.

Tomoko made an awkward squeaking noise, looking up at the massive mount of snow and-maybe-paper-was-in-there-too-oh-Jack-what-the-hell, cowering back away from it and staring in horror. Oh man, oh man. She... oh man. SHe didn't really fight things. She was little and tiny and had little flimsy arms.

Her ears drooped down as instead of attacking, Tomoko cowered away from the massive creature, ducking into the snow and curling her tails around her legs, making a pathetic whimpering sound.

Everyone was milling about discussing melting the snow, a bonfire to keep warm. The group had grown considerably in size and so it seemed like everyone was okay minus a bit of a chill. That was at least till a rather large snow mound got up and decided now would be a lovely time to attack.

"Oh Jack-Dammit."

Shifting into a lower crouch she raised her left arm up; purple FEAR flaring to life around it. "At least the last magical pendant trip I only had to deal with crossing a damn road!" Clenching her fist tighter the FEAR built up quicker growing brighter and seeming to make it even colder around her then it already was. "I'mma smash the ******** out of you ugly snow pile!"

With her FEAR properly built she shot off in a respectable sprint for an undead ghoul before leaping up before planting her fist on the forehead of the large snow beast; all her FEAR built up being forced behind the punch shoving her FEAR right into its forehead. Granted the thing was made of snow and probably didn't mind the chilling effect of her punch it sure would feel the impact of the fear at least. With that done she tumbled off to the side rolling in the snow.

"KEEP HITTING THE DAMN THING!"

Malodore swore as something erupted out of the snow; its wings flared behind it as it skidded into something vaguely resembling a battle position, its own tailblade gripped between its claws like a dagger. "Leave us alone!" it shouted, just in case it was a sentient Halloween creature.

Of course, the remains spoke ill of its ability to reason, and the plague doctor slashed at the snowy beast with its tailblade. Consider it a... warning strike. A rather meager one, but a strike nevertheless.

Pepin was just about to respond to Veive when something..

"My name's PepIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEK!!!!!"

Leaping off the rock now she put up her fists and danced around in the air. "You disrupted our chat you TURD." Blindly she swung a kick at the creature and squealed excitedly when it made contact, albeit barely, and dashed widely behind Mot.

Purple fear continued to swirl around her fist as she stood up glancing around, a snowball, a tail slash, and a light kick. Along with Jericho having hit himself they were going to be in a lot of trouble soon.

"Oh Jack help us all this isn't good..."

She waved her hands in the air, "Back away from the damn thing after you hit it less it try and eat you! Doc! Take a look at Jericho and see if you can patch him up a bit!"

Sammy had a good point. Mot was RIGHT beside the darn thing. He turned to the ghoul's he was defending. "You heard the lady, let's shove off!" Mot herded his small harem away from the monster for the time being.

He was a long range fighter anyway. he had no business standing up front.

"WAIT BUT WHAT IS EVEN-----HEY!!"

Before she'd had a chance to even reply to Mot, he'd shoved her behind him, into the snow. It melted away on contact, and with a yelp, Vieve clambered up onto the rock again, clinging to it.

"********* snow", she snarled, and turned back, only to see......... more snow. A whole.. practically mountain of snow, even.

Seemed like the only thing to do was melt it.. but then Mot was tugging at her, and she lost her aim, falling over again into the snow.

"WHAT'S YOUR ******** PROBLEM, UGHHHH." Over them all the snow-monster loomed, and Vieve had a feeling that there would be worse..

ROUND 2: HP 98/108:

Each successful hit managed to make the animate mound move one step back, snow falling off it in clumps, as if shedding. Another kick, and it seemingly staggered backwards, developing an arm, out of all things, and then what seemed like horns, and finally - was that a scarf?!

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

With one more step backwards, almost all the snow managed to fall off the poor secretary, who managed to stumbled blindly around in absolute confusion for a few more seconds before passing out in the snow again.

Fortunately, as he did, something flew in the air and landed in front of the students with a small plop. Was that a Skellyphone?

NOW WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

- Well good job guys, you knocked out the secretary, who was supposed to be the key to the way back.
- Students COULD try reviving him though, if anyone knew any Fear Healing techniques... if not, they could just.... attempt to wake him with other more unconventional means.
- Roll a 100-sided dice. If you roll 90 or higher you successfully manage to stir him, otherwise, feel free to wait patiently in the freezing snow.
- Otherwise students can also try to examine the Skellyphone, perhaps placing a call will fix the problem. Unfortunately it seems to be password locked.

"Per l'amore di-" Malodore burst out, grinding its beak as it let go of its own tail. It recognized that scarf. They'd just beaten up Secretary Arel.

Fantastic.

The plague doctor stepped over to the snow-pile, shoving away flakes as fast as it could before putting one clawed hand on Arel's shoulder. "Ah, signore, wakey-wakey?" it tried, shaking lightly.

Of course, nothing happened.

"Wren!" Sparrow gasped, completely ignoring Roch as the snow before them expanded, grew, and turned into -

Well. Something. He had no real idea what exactly it was, except a giant, man-eating snow creature thing.

That was not particularly appealing. Sparrow made a grab for Wren as she lurched away from him, intending to throw herself at it, but she had already moved to attack the creature. A swirl of black smoke curled up from Sparrow's palm, his scythe forming form the cloudy darkness until it solidified into the weapon.

Lunging, he swung his scythe around -

- and then stopped abruptly, the tip of it inches away from the creature and standing right in front of the little horned person that Sparrow still did not know.

"Er," he said, somewhat awkwardly, lowering the scythe as he grappled behind him and latched onto Wren's squeezing her fingers tightly before dropping it and kneeling down beside the prone form of the secretary.

Sparrow poked him in the shoulder.

"Erm. Professor?" I think that's what you are?
