Rajih heard the faint reply from Requiem and smiled at him. "Nice to meet you Requiem!" He almost reached his hand out before Theo caught him again. For being his rival, Theo was sure clinging to him a lot.

He ignored the first for Lycander as he responded. "It would be nice to find a lovely girl." Rajih didn't look at Ophelia regardless that even moments before she had literally been all over him. He really didn't understand her over affectionate self. "You shouldn't compliment his horns, he'll get a ego." Rajih nodded as he tried to ease the suddenly tense situation. If is gut feeling was right, everyone knew instantly what Emelia was. Ophelia's reaction made the situation even worst as Rajih looked between the Peach girl and the Reaper. The fact that Emelia seem to know him was a great disturbance to the rest of the group and had him shifting uncomfortably. How did one manage to divert the attention of her being a witch eater?

Rajih ignored the jibe on his clothing attire again, if Theo could only manage to come up with insulting him with dressing like a girl well, he already played that card and it didn't bother the water mage any longer. He rubbed he face as Theo immediately shut down his facial features, resembling what one would call a stone wall. Regardless that Rajih had pushed his rival to be dined on by a Witch eater, which wouldn't matter anyway because he knew Theo's secret, thanks to Phil. A witch eater couldn't eat a Majin seed after all.

He snorted when Theo whispered in his ear before shrugging, turning to whisper back. "It's not like I want to know her okay. She thought I was food on the street, made me cop a feel and now taken a fancy to me." Rajih gave him annoyed face, his whisper only heard by Theo...and Ophelia if she was listening closely. "She's smarter then that Theo." Rajih nodded to the Witch eater before going over to grab her hand. "Sorry to cut this meeting short but, Emelia, if you'd come with me?" He didn't even wait for her response as he dragged her off. He watched Ruria off too the side though, as she headed towards Az, the boy they met last night. Oddly enough, Salem was with the boy and his female companion. Rajih veered towards them, If a majin gathering was happening well, he was going to drop Emelia with them and be on his way.

Giggling, Emelia just smiled at the new witch. "You've gotten more powerful Rajih. That is- good. Better then being a little weak witchling." As Theo was pushed into her arms, she was content to simply let it happen. "Aw, a gift Rajih? You're too sweet, even for me." His reaction thrilled her. While it wasn't as..explosive as she'd like, she'd still gotten a rise from him. Pausing to smile at his companions, she felt it was time to introduce herself. "I'm Emelia, as our lovely Rajih said. It's a treat to meet you all." Glancing to the majin witch she wished she could have tease him more.
These were just the types he'd end up eating one day. Poor boy.

Did she care that a Reaper was near? Oh, never. Especially not-
"Well now, your a sight for sore eyes." The witch eater smiled at Ophelia. "I hope you'll forgive me for missing you earlier, after all-" the smile turned wicked, "-I tend forget those who irritate me." Moving away from Theo, she wound her hands behind her back. "Tell me, are you doing your job today or are you on a vacation?" It was a nasty remark, but so was Emelia at times. "A wild witch eater isn't very good for-" She paused, trying to find the right word. "Business."
Waving her hand in the air she dismissed it like it was nothing. "I'm just here for some shopping as usual. Some supplies, maybe explore the city. But with the weather I honestly would just prefer to be at home cooking."

Moving to Ophelia she smiled, this time with less malice. "Would you like a secret?" Not pausing she whispered to the Reaper. "No smart witch eater would be causing this much off a commotion." A step back and a smile. "It's just in bad form and all that."

As Rajih dragged her off she was grinning like mad. "Oh Rajih! Is this a date? If so I humbly accept!"
She did want a free meal after all.

Xerxes was in a good mood as he strolled into the town square. Clutched to his chest, he held a small bag of freshly made pumpkin fudge. He popped one square chunk into his mouth and licked the melted sweet residue left on his fingers with a smile on his face. His eyes darted about the square, taking in everything there was to see. More people seemed to be out and about than usual, but he guessed that wasn't strange considering the upcoming event.

But there were also Reapers about. More Reapers than he could have imagined, patrolling the area. Xerxes had never actually seen a Reaper until now. His ears flattened, a soft jingling coming from the bell attached to one furry ear with the action. His tail drooped, nearly tucking between his legs, as he passed by one Reaper. He wasn't sure that he liked seeing so many of them around. It made him nervous that something bad was on the horizon.

Xerxes hurried along, keeping an eye for a familiar face, but with all the people, he couldn't find one. His gaze caught on someone, however. Another Mononoke! Xerxes hadn't come across very many Mononokes while attending the school. He made his way over toward the boy with ears and a tail that resembled a snow leopard. The boy was standing with two others, both female. As he got closer, Xerxes hesitated. Would it be considered rude if he intruded on their conversation? But he was interested in meeting with another Mononoke.

Ophelia watched silently as Theo spoke to Emelia. As brash as he was normally, he seemed particularly prickly towards her. And despite being a Reaper, the tension building only made her more nervous. She couldn't even distract herself by wondering who Theo was taken by. She looked from the blue witch to Rajih as they leaned in to speak, feeling awkward as she could only just make out a few words from their whispers.

Any talk about the ball slipped her mind now, hoping that a scene wouldn't erupt from this. That Emelia or Theo wouldn't start a fight or something and get the attention of every Reaper around. She glanced at Lycander and Requiem, barely catching his quiet introduction. Her eyes lingered on them, seeing their discomfort as well. The hairs on the back of her neck stood on end as everyone seemed unnerved. Could they all tell she was a witch eater?

When Emelia's eyes finally landed on Ophelia, her heartbeat quickened slightly, but she held her gaze. She seemed to have no qualms about announcing what she was. Her natural confidence, something that Ophelia had to pretend she had, made the young reaper envious. "If I had a job today, we wouldn't be talking, would we?" she said, forcing her voice steady. Emelia had already proven herself to be stronger than Ophelia. She was smart, as well, and every bit the dangerous kind of majin. But even then, the reaper didn't want to fight her. She had no grudges against majin of any kind, believing only that witch eaters were threats that needed to be controlled.

But on a more personal level, Emelia had hinted on something bordering humanity at their last meeting. But even Ophelia knew this wasn't the right time to continue that conversation, and simply said nothing as the witch eater leaned in to whisper to her. At least she wasn't the one everyone was talking about. But she wasn't sure whether that was a good thing or not.

Ophelia let out a sigh long held in as Rajih took her away. But her eyes followed him as long as they could. The worry she had for that boy was beginning to give her a headache as she took a few sips of her coffee.

"S..so what about you two?" she said, hoping to lighten the tension and turning to Lycander and Requiem. "Are you guys going to the ball?" She added, though her eyes kept searching for Rajih. She didn't feel right leaving him alone with that majin.

Lumena Town Square

"Ruria Lockewood." Cruor repeated, giving a small nod of his head. "As Graveyard stated, my name is Cruor."

When Graveyard spoke he shot her a mildly annoyed look, eyes narrowing a little at what she called him. He wasn't really that grouchy. Sometimes he got a tad paranoid and sometimes he didn't converse well with others or cater to their whims, but he wouldn't call himself grumpy. However as the mononoke continued to converse with the pink-haired girl he rolled his eyes and glanced aside, relaxing and leaning back against the building again.

"You didn't make me..." Cruor let the sentence fade as the girl turned on her heel and strode away; he really wasn't good when it came to young women. "That... Could have gone better, perhaps."

Cruor tilted his head, looking perplexed as the girl walked away before glancing at the wolf mononoke beside him. He wasn't certain whether or not he should be thankful for the intrusion, really. While he felt slightly less awkward around Graveyard due to her not being a stranger, she also could trap him in his own words at times. He tended to get a little irritable when people outsmarted him in public.

"Patrol, huh?" he questioned before grimacing a little at the mention of the ball; he wanted nothing to do with such things. "Orders from above, actually, directed me to be here, and in plain sight. Supposedly it will save more lives if the Witch Eaters know we're here, watching the town. Honestly I think it will just encourage bad behavior... That and it would be easier to catch someone if they didn't know we were here..."

Speaking of which... He turned his head, glancing about the area almost as an afterthought. He had gotten distracted by both Ruria and Graveyard today and that wasn't a good sign. Cruor wouldn't be saving many lives if he couldn't focus on doing his job. Perhaps it was due to the memory that seemed to plague him... Or simply that he didn't really want to be here.

"Honestly, I'd rather be in the shadows right now..."

Graveyard didn't mind the annoyed look. She did have a way with either making the dragon either annoyed with her or friendly annoyed. She thought he was a cute grumpy dragon anyways, whether he liked it or not. Though he might not be able to see it but, a lot of girls and some boy's did notice that he had a attractive scowl. But she didn't mention that as she too rested herself on the wall.

When Ruria walked away, Gravy raised a eyebrow curiously before looking at her friend. "Well....All she wanted to touch was your scythe. But it was a such a cute doll, I am surprised that you didn't fall for her cute charm." Graveyard smiled softly, she had her own fondness for cuteness after all. Ruria fell under it, as did Theo and Chanda. They we're all cute little witchlings and witches after all.

"Yep Patrol! Though I am not sure why I was called here. I specialize in divination and healing. What good would I do if a Witch Eater decided I was next course on the meal?" Graveyard rested her chin in her hand as she looked at the gathering of people in the square. When Miusa walked in though, she felt a odd tingling of powerful old magic before she shrugged it off. Her skills with divination always had the power to alert her when another of power came into play. She recognized the Sage only by reputation alone as she talked to another black heart and Mononoke reaper. her eyes only laid on the group for moments before she felt the stir of a witch eater. A pink haired girl was being dragged away from another group by a teal haired witch that quirked a curious eyebrow. She failed to mention though to Cruor though that there was in fact two witch eaters in the square, along with many Majin. No need to get him worried over something simple as a gathering. Though to be safe she let her magic flow from her body to the square setting up a invisible net. If a witch eater or Majin decided to act with their magic, she would be the first to counter it and alert the reapers. She was abruptly quiet as she weaved the spell before breathing out.

"Ah, Orders from above always make me wonder who plays the strings." She hummed a agreement over being out of plain sight. One like Cruor was indeed more effective when he was in his natural zone.

"Well, I suppose we will make the best of what we can now." She turned to smile at him before brow furrowing in thought. "While we are on the talk of duty though..." She smiled up at him, tapping her lip, "Do you want to be my date for the Hallow's Eve ball tomorrow night? I'm going to be stationed there as a early...alarm system of sorts and wouldn't mind a strapping strong dragon to protect my back." She turned her amethyst eyes up to his, a mischievous twinkle added to her even more mischievously coy grin.

Lumena Town Square

Cruor snorted at her comment, deciding to keep his gaze fixed on the square for the moment, occasionally glancing at Graveyard out of the corner of his eye to show he was listening. It was a difficult thing to explain, his possessiveness over his scythe, but it was like a cherished pet or a loved one. He didn't want anyone to touch it or risk losing it to someone just as much as he didn't want it to accidentally cause someone harm. Never mind that during its years of use, both the grip on the weapon and the magic contained within it had molded to him. At this point the weapon was so tainted with his own magical signature, his own blood and sweet, that he didn't really want to see someone try and wield it anyways.

"A scythe is as much a toy as destructive magic. You know this. Besides, I have no interest in dolls." he muttered, running armored fingers through his hair. "Nor in cute things. I haven't for quite some time."

In fact he couldn't remember the last time that he had played with toys at all. Perhaps he did take life a little too seriously. However, at this point, he doubted that he could really go back and experience an actual childhood. Most likely he would have turned out much differently had he not had to grow up so quickly, had to take on so much responsibility at such a young age.

"Perhaps you should pick a reaper to stick with then. Healers are useful in case we are injured. Many do not specialize in healing." Cruor mused, arching a brow at her as he watched the seemingly cheerful exchanges, only to shiver; the mononoke was concocting something. "Dare I ask what sort of spell you're stringing together?"

Because we focus on killing was what he left out and he doubted he would ever actually vocalize it. Everyone already knew what sorts of grisly work the Reapers and Black Hearts did, thus there was no reason to advertise or discuss it for any length of time. However at times it made him a tad annoyed; what were warriors without healers to care for them? Truly they needed more healers in their ranks.

"You could say that again..." he muttered, shaking his head before suddenly freezing at the request, staring at Graveyard like she had grown a second head. "I... What?!"

Of all the things he had expected to come of this particular mission, being asked to go to the ball itself was certainly not one of them. It wasn't really that he didn't believe himself capable of acquiring a date should he desire one, but he hadn't actually expected to be asked by anyone. After all such things were reserved for those younger than himself and much more social... Also those who could dance... Which he could not.

"I... No. Absolutely not. Firstly that wasn't in my orders, second I cannot dance, third I have no formal clothing, fourth I am in no form interested." He was borderline babbling his cheeks heating from the unexpected offer.

She twiddled a piece of a feather strewn through her locks as she felt the final remnants of the spell she cast settle over the square, pleased with her handiwork before she looked up at the dragon. He was watching her carefully now wasn't he. She smiled softly at him.

"It is true, Though I am no reaper or black heart, I do understand that your kind takes very extra percautions with your magical items. If it was to be put into comparison terms. Your scythe is like my familier, molded from you alone for you to weild after all." She hummed as she continued to stroke the feather. "No interest in cute things? My my, and here I took you for a charmer Cruor, a man after the ladies hearts." She winked at him before straightening on the wall.

"Well for now, I am quite content to keep chatting with you. If you don't mind." Her ears perked and swayed with conversations she could barely hear before settling, Her magic it seemed to have affected the Dragon. "It's a simple spell for making sure that should someone attempt a magical attack, I would take the brunt force and act as a alarm for the reapers. It can also be used as a pinpoint for magics stemming from a Majin seed instead of a witches heart." She smiled again, looking at the dragon. "Should you fear that me distracting you with conversation from your watch, It's a simple spell my friend." She cocked her head as she could hear his mental thoughts clicking in his head. To those specilized in dinivination, people watching was another skill, and she could tell her friend was troubled with some sort of thought. Her hand reached out automatically to pat him on the cheek. "We all know what the reapers do. We do not all agree but that is the law of our land. It is a good thing they called a few Ars Lilium though. Though It seems that I am the only one in the near area for now." She sighed.

Her ears drooped a little at his clear distaste for the question of being her date but she was persistent and knew how to play the dragon back. "And if it was your orders? You must remember that I am the only Ars Lilium stationed at the moment for Lumena with skills that would rival a sage in divination. I need a bodyguard but I have a hard time trusting these hardened Reapers. What if one decided that I was a nuisance in a battle and ended up killing me instead?" She waved her hand, "Better for me to have someone I know and trust. Second! You don't have to dance...a lot. And I'll help you. Third. There is plenty of shops around, you don't have to be overly fancy silly." She patted his cheek again before taking a breath, "Well that's just downright insulting. And here I had some sort of appeal as a woman. I feel I must pretty myself up now and then attempt to woo you again!" She noticed the bright red on his cheeks before smiling softly at him, "I would be more comfortable there Cruor, If you were at my side to count on."

Rosel kept the frown from her face as best she could. Just like the little ingrate to ruin the fun twice. Not once with the mention of her unfortunate marriage, but now again with something so droll as sympathy. And she didn’t doubt for a second that he actually felt sympathy somewhere in the ball of fluff that she assumed was his heart. He released her hand before she realized he’d taken it, and cursed herself for the missed opportunity to shock him.

He couldn’t possibly have thought she’d changed that much though? She expected him to retort with something biting, some underhanded comment that showed he knew perfectly well she was just putting on a performance, and he had the nerve to respond with sympathy. ”Your sympathy is much appreciated.” Easy to fall back on the proper lines, but the words came out a little more dead than she liked. She was glad when he turned his attention to Salem.

But should have known he’d use it to heap further insolence on her. Life of the party? Oh she’d stir up something at the party if only to get back at him. She caught Salem’s eye and gave him a sickly sweet smile. ”Oh Az is just being polite. I’m really nothing special on the dance floor. He, on the other hand,” she turned to Azra’iel with the same smile and a slightly feral lilt. ”Is quite the dancer. You and I simply must have a dance at the ball. I think I may be able to make it after all.” If only to punish him.

Suddenly, the pink haired girl she’d seen talking to the cutie Black Heart earlier drew everyone’s attention and Rosel tilted her head with a smile. She’d hoped to get a chance to zap Az at least once in this conversation, but he seemed desperate to get away from her. Putting a hand under her chin, Rosel, for once, decided to remain silent and let Az squirm and answer her question.

But after seeing her so deep in conversation with the Black Heart... Was this girl a reaper in training? Salem’s words didn’t clarify much; she was either so hated he felt the need to act overjoyed, or he really liked her to the point of awkwardness.

Kalypso smiled and shook hands with Cedar. "Hi nice to meet you Cedar." She turned toward Lea. "My first time here is going ok. It's not so bad as I thought it would be. I should try to see more places."

Kalypso looked around the square again. It was getting kinda crowded. She try to remember that anyone of these people can be the culpit of all the murders. Hopefully with all these people here the person behind all these murders wouldn't dare try to attack anyone. For the first time that made Kalypso happy to be in a crowd of people instead of freaking out.

"So are you two looking forward to the ball?" She had to keep talking to keep her mind off all the bad stuff. She looked over to see another mononoke with a ribbon on his tail looking their way. "Oh look another mononoke, I think he's a feline like you Lea." She watched the other mononoke and try to decipher his emotions. "I think he's curious about you." She started moving her arms up in the air trying to get the other mononoke's attention.

As pleasant a morning as it was, the fact he was running late -of all things- had pretty much ruined the charm for Philemon as he raced the streets of Lumena, tripping and falling several times along the way, bumping on strangers and apologizing many times over. His haste had nothing to do with the much anticipated upcoming event but rather with the fact that first of all he wasn't even used in running late. There were only twenty four hours in a day, after all. He had stayed up until the early hours of morning last night studying and had eventually crashed in his teacher's home for the few hours he did manage to sleep.

He had just managed to run do his teacher's grocery shopping while he was busy tending to his beautiful garden and return some long-delayed material to the library when he decided to take a small stroll to cool off his head a little and catch a breath craving some rather belated breakfast and wishing a certain person with an affinity for cooking would magically materialize out of thin air for him to collapse into. Theo would laugh if he knew of his state; after all he was the one always reprimanding him about his sleeping and eating habits that it would feel at least amusing to turn the tables, he thought.

Speaking of the devil, he would swear he caught a glimpse of his brother not too far away but was too tired to go to him, wondering only what in the world was Theo doing in Lumena on a day such as this. Perhaps it wasn't really as surprising, though. Especially considering that he was training with his teacher also so he had every reason to be there. On the other hand he was that much more compelled to drag his feet towards the other person he recognized from afar on the moment he entered the square which was none other than Rajih. His presence made him smile almost immediately and he lifted a hand to wave a little as he rushed over almost beaming cheerfully. "Rajih~! good morning!" he greeted, seconds before he came to the realization that Rajih wasn't exactly alone.

He blushed realizing his mistake and brought himself to a quick halt not to embarrass himself in front of the beautiful pink-haired lady that appeared to be his escort. "Good morning to the lovely lady as well." he bowed lightly, courteous as always. "I'm sorry to crash your... is this a date?" he laughed quietly. "If so I won't stay long." he winked over at Rajih playfully before straightening his back. "I saw you from afar and thought I'd say hello."

It was just so easy to lose oneself in a conversation like this and forget why they had all gathered here in Lumena in the first place (maybe not for Cedar but at least Lea could vouch with a fair amount of certainty for the Makai Academy students) or the very reason why so many reapers and Black Hearts were patrolling the streets. There it was again. That reaper stationed right outside the bakery and the one who had just walked past. They were staring at him as if they were expecting him to do something. Possibly a random thing. Nothing to get nervous or unsettled about since they were simply doing their job. The brown-haired mononoke rationalized with himself. Besides, it wasn't as if he was a majin, much lest a witch eater.

"Ah... so you're the prodigal child in the family then? I'm pretty sure that your parents must have been very proud of you." There was a melancholic look in Lea's eyes as he addressed the young olive-eyed witch then, memories of his own past surfacing in his mind briefly before he willed them back to wherever they had come from. He had Kei and Lulu now so there was little need for him to reminisce over something that he could absolutely do nothing about. "It's really alright." Lea shook his head quickly, not wanting Cedar to think that he had found her rude with her earlier words. "So what have you been doing ever since you graduated from the academy?" Cedar. Lea smiled to himself at the image of the tree that instantly came to mind. An apt name that certainly fit her to the T. Her parents had indeed chose well. "Just... Lea will do, Cedar."

He didn't need Kalypso to bring the other mononoke boy to his attention since it was only a matter of time till Lea decided to indulge in his own curiosity and glance around for the source of the soft jingling that his ears had picked up on. "We still have quite a bit of time to do some exploring since the ball isn't until the day after tomorrow Kalypso." Still, it was probably a good thing that she did anyway otherwise he wouldn't really know where to look with the crowd that had gathered within their immediate vicinity. "I'm not really sure to be honest, but I suppose there's always a first time for everything. Will you be attending the ball as well Cedar?" Ah... so there he was. Kalypso was right. Those features of his... could they be those of a cat's? His ears began to twitch at the jingling sound carried by the draft once again, his curiosity now piqued as he made eye contact with the boy in a silent invitation for him to join them. A Makai Academy uniform. He really had to wonder if they were in the same year as well.

Lumena Castle Town: Quaint Bakery

Oh, no one would ever be able to tell Sade that a quick drink didn't solve all ails. The witchling finished her drink tidily, smiling at the soothing heat that stretched her head-to-toe. What a kind old man! To her delight, she'd discovered that the wizened Baker had given her a small cup of herbal tea along with her order - he claimed that he could see her aching head as soon as she'd walked in. And whatever the tea was (Sade thought she smelled jasmine, and tasted something wonderfully heavy - perhaps blackcurrant?), it worked marvels on her head. She felt so clear-headed and refreshed, she might as well have gotten a full night's sleep!

Unfortunately, her roll had tasted so good with the tea that it was gone, butter and all. One of the best she'd ever eaten, the student informed the Baker, happily accepting as he transferred her cider to a stout bottle. She'd have to come back here again sometime.

Lumena Castle Town: Square

Sade felt so good, even the cold wasn't a downer. It was a bit nippier than last she'd been out, she had to admit; and did, with a soft smile. It was wonderful when problems were easily fixed. One hand still twisting the hem of her skirt, the witchling seemed to concentrate a moment. It was not too much longer that an echo of the bakery's rolling heat rose from her skin, a heat-wave insulation against the chill. The magic was whisked off into the wind soon after, but the effect remained. A nicely toasty effect, at that.

But there are consequences to concentrating so hard one forgets where one is. The startled student, then, just barely had time to keep from running into the boy she'd seen reading earlier, standing in a circle of what she assumed were his friends. How embarrassing would it have been if she'd run into them? "I'm so sorry," the embarrassed girl offered. She might have blushed, if nor for the warmth of her spell. "I wasn't watching where I was going at all - it was my fault entirely. I hope I didn't bump you?"

"Yeah you could say that. And they were. " She smiled at him. She had been talking all about herself. She rocked back and forth on her feet before answering the next question. "I went home to help with the farm. My parents recently passed away, so things needed to change, and so I moved to Maksi's town to sell the produce. I essentially sold the farm to someone that could better manage that area of it, and I'm running a store front." She nodded, and then looked over at Kalypso.

"Your first time? I hadn't been here since school, I had been meaning too..." She thought to herself. Because of school she did a lot of things, and saw places. "Oh the ball. I am actually. I was sick when the ball came around while I was at the Academy. But I had been meaning to find out.. Do we need to have partners to attend?" She blinked, and then looked over to where the other two were looking.

"Really my lucky day." As she glanced over the others features the urge to play with ears and tails crept up again. "He's got bells." She didn't need to do much since the others had already invited him over.

Lycander let his lips curl into a playful smile hearing Rajih's response. "Forgive me. I do not mean to add on to any ego's. Merely making a compliment. But to even the tides a little, I will also add in that those colors are quite striking on you." Fair was fair, wasn't it? Now he'd given both of the young men a compliment. That probably still counted as flirting.

However right now, flirting and the like was definitely not in the forefront of the redhead's mind. His typically cheerful look was cool as he studied the girl, Emelia. His suspicions of what she was were confirmed. A witch eater. And as cheerful as she appeared to be, Lycander couldn't help but feel like there was something hidden under that cheerfulness. Something predatory. And hungry. His hand tightened a margin when he felt a squeeze, eyes briefly flickering to Requiem when he leaned in and whispered those two words. Well. Clearly he needed to stop asking for exciting things to happen at the beginning of the day. Because they tended to happen. Just not in the fashion he would have liked.

He gently bumped his shoulder against Requiem's for comfort and regarded the witch eater. She was being rather rude to Ophelia though that could have been because the pale haired one was a Reaper. He didn't like this growing tension either. But before he could think of something to actually say, Rajih was apologizing and dragging the witch eater away. Well shite. This was not the best of available options.

Ophelia's question drew his gaze away from the retreating figures of Rajih and Emelia and he offered her a warm smile, appreciating the attempt she was making to break the awkward tension. "Us? Well, I would sure love to attend this ball. If my companion here wishes to go that is. I have not been to such an event for a little while and it would be nice to go. What about yourselves?" He directed this question at Theo as well. "Perhaps, if you both will be there, we shall meet up with you? I imagine it would be nice to know more than just your date at the ball."
