Sofia comes from a long line of magic, with all of her ancestresses becoming either priestesses or wandering witches. The magic manifests differently to males in her bloodline than it does to females; it has long been an issue of debate why this is and what causes it, for there have been cases of some (though not all) particularly effeminate males being able to use their magic in a fashion similar to the female magic.
- - Though Sofia rarely gives anything personal of herself, she's still quite approachable. She has a friendly air about her, is willing to listen to others or start conversations herself, and is truly curious about others. She likes to learn about certain people, what they're like and whether or not their surface mirrors their true nature. While rarely ever openly hostile, if she doesn't like someone she makes no effort to keep the fact secret. Cygnus has an impish sense of humor and loves to tease people she perceives as too serious or grumpy. She won't take it too far though, since she's not a bully and actually gets quite upset if she sees anyone bullying someone else. While she's openly friendly there are only a few people to whom she feels any kind of bonded loyalty towards, and the only one from whom she never hides things from is her twin. She and Phaeton are two very different people and rarely act like a twin unit, but they still hold that closeness at a soul-deep level.

Hoodoo is a more restless sort and is often roaming around. It is not aimless wandering though, for she always has a purpose for the things she does. It is hard to get her personal thoughts on a matter unless you are close with her and she tends not to offer help unless she thinks you actually need it. When she does give her help she gives what she thinks you need, which might not be what you asked for.
Both twins are friendly enough when approached, though since they give off different vibes who you bond with quicker depends on what kind of personality you like to be around. They are extremely close and share a special bond. They don't know what the other is thinking but they can always catch the general tone of the thoughts. They also always know when the other is hurt or in serious trouble. Both twins are magic users, but in different ways. Hoodoo is a practitioner who can create spells and charms things for luck, love, success, protection, etc. She can make and break curses, but rarely does the former without good reason. Voodoo's magic is less direct and affects a person's soul rather than their physical life. Sometimes the two overlap because it happens something good or challenging in the physical life will be good for the soul. He cannot make spells, charms, or curses like Hoodoo, but he can break many common curses.
