Ren was not paying attention to Natalia as she leaned over to hiss whispers to LW. He knew very well that his reaction to her - the way he had, in fact, not brushed her off brusquely or turned away from her - was an indication that he wanted to put their fight in the past, move on. No, his attention was focused on something else entirely:
The item dangling from Arel's hand.
No.
He remembered it - remembered it all too well. Instantly his mind spun out of control, exploding into a myriad of pictures, like a reel from a horror movie that he couldn't get out of, couldn't turn off. Hooded figures, the feel of something slicing into his hand, a dagger dripping with blood...the looks on Alessa's face as he had felt that last penetration of the scythe into his back, the strange, out-of-body experience that had happened afterwards...
No, no, no.
He took one step back. Then another, his eyes widening.
No.
Something loud and shrill suddenly blasted out of the intercom speakers. Ren didn't catch what it said, but the noise at least shook him free of his internal fighting and he shook his head, as if trying to clear his mind.
"Um," he said, glancing at LW and Natalia with a weak smile, his face pale, his fingers trembling slightly as they squeezed his ghoulfriend's. Around them, the students had begun to disappear frantically, and Ren thought it best himself to get the hell out of there.
"Time to go, I think."
He seized Natalia's hand as well, turned, and booked it down the hallway, heart still clambering in his chest.

The she-wolf smiled again at the gryphon beside her, but her attention fell to the lemur. She gave Natalia a huge grin, happy to see the lemur again. LW returned the sideways hug, her own tail batting against Natalia's legs before it rested against the longer tail that now wrapped lightly around her legs. "Hi! Haven't seen much of you." Was there the smallest hint of a pout there? Maybe. But it disappeared fairly quickly. she was too cheerful right now, having a good friend as well as her boilfriend (insert a round of 'eee' in her mind thinking this again) there.
Her cheeks lit up slightly at the question Natalia asked. "Um...y-yes. We are." She got out in a shy voice, the hand Ren held tightening in his hold briefly. "This turkey asked me out." She couldn't hide the massive amounts of joy from the smile she gave the lemur. LW was still pleasantly shocked that they were dating.
At Natalia's second question, LW glanced up at Ren but ended up jumping when the gym's office door was slammed instead of seconded the were-ghoul's question. Her tail curled around her own legs now and she stepped closer to Ren, that curious look about her face as she stared at the door, wanting to get a little closer. She hadn't actually heard any of the conversation that the two professors had been carrying. However, something shiny flashed in Arel's hand and it drew her gaze like a moth to flame.
And she froze, hand tightening against the gryphon's.
Jack no. Nononono! She didn't want to be standing right there anymore. The last time she'd seen anything to do with that item...a shudder raced down her spine and unconsciously, she mimicked the steps Ren took backwards. No...
That shrill, Jacking awful sound that was the intercom speakers made her jump almost a foot in the air. Who the hell was that speaking? Did she care? Not currently, but maybe later.... Yep. Time to go, right? Her violet gaze looked up at Ren, a knowing look passing between them. The she-wolf's jaw clenched as her gaze flickered back towards the office where Professor Red and Arel were.
"I-I agree...please?" He didn't have to ask twice. LW was more than willing to bolt out of there now. As quickly as the three of them could.
Unfortunately, the memories just seeing the pendant caused to surface weren't going to be so easy to run from.

Feeling Shun take her arm, Mitsu allowed the reaper to pull her away. There was no use sticking around she would try to come back later. There were far too many students about anyway. Perhaps it would be best if she came back on her own.

Oh no! Oh no, oh no! Taryn had barely heard the staff speaking and did not recognize the pendant, but she did know that they were all doomed in seconds. The teacher had told them to shoo before and they hadn't and now they were all doomed. The chimera ghoul had never had a detention in her life, and she didn't plan to start now. Clutching her books to her chest, she sprinted down the hall with a rhythmic tap-tap-tap.
Screw you guys, she was getting out of here!

Calder crept along with the other students, only backtracking when Arel turned about to shout at them and then stab a passing robot. Blades were enough to make the kelpie step back and just...give the ghoul her space, but only for a little while. Calder might have turned back if he didn't see a few students who had pretended not to be doing anything to just turn and follow. Like Jack he was going to just stand and miss out on what could potential turn into a full make-out session between faculty members. That was the gossip of the century, and he wanted to see it!
He followed, watching as Danny came along and hide beside a fountain before the door was slammed shut. Oh wood ticks! This wouldn't do at all!
Pouting, Calder moved to the door and tried to crane his large ears to hear anything. This was a very bad move as he got a ear-full of speaker that made him grip his ears and whines out. "OOHHH!!!"
There was a commotion as students turned about, trying to look "normal" while others just flat out managed to make themselves look twice as guilty
Calder moved to Danny to see her collide with a trash can in her haste and while she tried to hide again, Calder's ears were still ringing. "WHAT? I'M NOT HIDING BEHIND A TRASH CAN! I'M TOO BIG FOR THAT! " He then thought of a better idea. "JINKIES! MY GLASSES? WHERE ARE MY GLASSES?" Calder dipped down on the ground and pretended to be looking for his spectacles, squinting his eyes as he pawed at the ground.

The PA blasted something about a wedding gift, and Willow still didn't really have an idea on what was going on. Then she noticed Calder looking for his glasses. The ghost paused not sure if she'd seen the boil wearing glasses before however, she paused and tucked her map and book under her arm.
"Need some help?" She asked curiously as she looked around, "What's your glasses look like?" Obviously she was either really good at acting or she was completely convinced Calder was looking for his glasses.
Her tail flickered across the floor sweeping around as she looked for anything that looked like glasses.

Bea put her head up against the wall and couldn't seem to hear anything the two were saying. "Stupid vacuum! Can't hear a damn thing!" She turned to Demi and pouted at him, "I wish it would come to us on a silver platter!" The more Bea couldn't hear the conversation, the more anxious she became. Finally, when something juicy might come out of this school, nothing seemed to come easy.
Until the PA shouted a startling announcement.
A wedding gift? FOR A STUDENT?
Wait... WAIT! WHAT?! The moment Bea turned back, she found Demi already darting for a locker, "AGENT DOUBLE O BOW WOW!" She shouted towards the boil, holding out an arm in his direction. Bea panicked, jogged in place and blanked out about the back up plan Shehk mentioned. She quickly found Shehk at a locker and ran to the ghoul as fast as possible. "OH, THERE YOU ARE! I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU!" she said very loudly, and tried desperately to look normal.

Sammy was less then worried now about sound as the gnome cleaned, slowly she moved towards the door cocking her head. She took a spot not to far from Pepin. Just in time to watch as the pendant.
The same one that took them to the human world. Her yellow eyes went wide and she bit her lower lip hissing quietly. She was about to say something to some of the others when suddenly Pepins impromptu announcement went off.
"No you idiot that pendant was from two other places! The first one I saw took a bunch of us to the Human world, the only other time I've heard of it was during that Island 'field trip' we went one!" Shaking her head she started to back peddle away from the door. "Why the Jack Damn would they have one of those here... they told us they were trouble."
She shot a glance towards Shehk, the vague kind of 'we need to talk later' look as she continued to slowly back away getting ready to sprint Jack Forbid the teachers come storming out the office in a moment.

It quickly became clear that Red and Arel were talking about matters much more important then unruly students. Astra could clearly see the pendant, and strained to hear more of the conversation but the cleaning gnomes were getting in her way. Damn!
Things then became quite hectic as a loud announcement came out of no where, and as students either tried to run or to blend in she was left to figure out what to do. Did she have time to fly away? Maybe, but the information being passed between both professors was just to important to pass up.
As she tried to think of what to do, the fairy spied the cleaning gnomes, still working away at...cleaning. She frowned, wishing that she could escape notice just like they...could....
...wait a sec...
She looked back at the gnomes as they cleaned, and realized that, fortunately (and unfortunately for her pride), she wasn't much taller then they were.
...It could work.
Her wings folded themselves against her back as she took of her hat and straitened it out, folding the rim inside so it looked more gnomish, then she placed it back on making sure to hide her antenna and most of her blue hair underneath it.
Now, the fun part was trying to blend in with the gnomes, moving between then and pretending that she had been there all along, helping out with the vacuuming and cleaning. Yup, she was a gnome all right. Nothing to see here

She had taken only a moment to appraise the two holding hands, the features held on her pale countenance beaming brightly with the look of I knew it, how delightful! She would have gushed on about their current standing, inquired about how this all came about--even venture to ask what happened to the other two who belonged in their band of friends...but was unable to approach them with these prying questions. Instead, Natalia slowed to a stop just as Renaissance and LW had, and followed their widening gazes to what looked to be a simple pendant. Sure it seemed off to find it gripped in their school secretaries hand, and the object was tasteless in her opinion...but it was nothing to gawk at in horror. Having no affiliation with the object in the least, Natalia looked baffled and instead of having her jaw drop like the rest, she murmured softly "What is it?", as if assuming there was something else she was missing, while her own orange stare traveled around the emptying hallway they had frozen within. Things felt completely and utterly still now, as if time had stopped for everyone. So many of the faces she glanced over looked distant--their features glazed over by what she could only assume was deep thought.
And terror?
Yes...there was definitely terror.
Returning her attention to the gryphon and werewolf, Natalia furrowed her brows and took a step backward with them. This...didn't make any sense to her. "You guys, what the hell is going o-" But before she could finish, Renaissance's hand was wrapped around hers and pulling harshly in the opposite direction. They wanted to get out of here, for whatever reason, and although Natalia wanted desperately to know why--she ran silently at their side.

She watched as Red and Arel entered the gym office, the door slamming shut behind them. Through the window (and past those pesky, noisy cleaning gnomes), she could see the two faculty having some sort of a heated discussion, judging from their facial expressions and body language... Too bad she was too far away from the window and door, or she might be able to make out what they were discussing, despite the noise made by the cleaning gnomes.
Before she could creep closer, however, Pepin's loud announcement over the ickycom caused her to freeze like an ohdeer caught in headlights; they were going to be in so much trouble!
Seiji's tug on her wrist and Xiu's voice, filled with urgency, managed to get her out of it, however, and she was about to agree to escaping (especially since Shun, Mitsu and Riyo had taken off already) when Arel took out a familiar looking object from his pocket.
A pendent. That pendent.
Immediately, she looked worried, nervous and curious at the same time as she tugged herself free of Seiji; she had one of those pendents once... Left behind by a false reaper she "defeated" back on the island where she had "died". The school had deemed those pendents dangerous, and had confiscated them off the students... So why was Arel holding onto one like it was but a piece of decorative accessory?
"I'm staying." She mouthed to Seiji, Xiu and Levi before moving towards the gym office, making sure to stay out of the window's line of sight as she ducked beside it with a frown; while she could not see them now, she could at least hear bits and pieces of their conversation... Too bad she stepped on a can on her way there. Thankfully though, it seemed like the staff did not decide to investigate the source of the sound.
Probably too caught up in their discussion.

There'd been a ghost boil creeping as well. His wasn't a face she'd recognized, but he wanted to sneak a peek as well it looked like. Not long after the announcement, Levi felt Xiu's hand on her wrist, trying to pull her out of it. She looked into the baku's eyes with a sort of - not yet! - look. The ghost boil prepared to run, grabbing the wrists of both the petite ghouls but the tatzel wanted to keep her position. She raised a brow at the boil's rush to dash out of the scene so hastily while grabbing both the ghouls. Lizzy said she wanted to stay; Levi gave a nod of approval to the doll-like ghoul. Something was up and for Lizzy to want to be so risky... it seemed important. Ever so carefully, she lowered her tail and used it as her main ground while inching with her free hand. She looked back at Xiu who held onto her and Lizzy who showed she too wanted to keep watch. Switching between using her heels and her tail, if she needed to bound off, this seemed to be the best position for it. The tatzel kept beside Lizzy who was closets to the doorway. Aligning her thigh right up to the wall, she stayed low. Perhaps there was still time to get more info on this shiny item despite the announcement? Hopefully they'd hear the staff coming to the doorway before things got ugly. She motioned something to Lizzy rather than speaking. Hopefully, she'd get what she was asking.

Red was saying something. It was a single word, spoken again and again in such a way that each word was spoken faster and faster, her expression darkening with every moment. “Do you actually think –“ she broke in angrily, gesturing towards the door. Her voice lowered as she took a step towards the teacher, leaning in close. The PA system going off was enough to force her to jump back, whirling with an expression of ill-concealed rage as she quickly approached the door. Her red lips curled back into a snarl, revealing sharp pointed fangs as she threw the door back with enough force to knock over a poor cleaning gnome attempting to furiously vacuum its way under her door. The gnome tucked itself protectively into a ball as it went against the wall and bounced right back, unpredictable and uncontrollable like a pinball. Quote: OOC: Time to get away! Red does not look happy. In fact, now is a pretty damn good time to leave before Red takes action. And the gnome Red hit with the door is bouncing around at foot-level – tripping over it is a high possibility. Are you fast enough to escape? Roll the dice to find out~ 1: The gnome bounces into the back of your legs, making you trip and fall over! You did not escape. 2: The gnome hits your feet. You stumble slightly. You may choose to RP falling over (caught), or regain your footing to continue fleeing (escape). 3: You jump over the gnome as it comes after you. Freedom! You escape successfully. 4: The gnome bounces off the wall and misses you completely. You escape successfully. 5: You trip over someone who did not escape. You can choose whether to fall, or to stumble and escape successfully. 6: You’re almost out when the gnome ricochets off of the walls, bouncing several times to hit you square in the back. You’re down! You failed to escape. Please put in bold whether your character has escaped or not. Shehk's tail puffed out when the door swung open, looking to Bea with a panicked look on her face. "s**t!! We gotta run!" She said, watching for a moment as the gnome bounced from wall to wall and went rolling about. Oh shi- Man, she needed to bolt, and soon!!
The Pricolici grabbed Bea's arm, looping her own with it before beginning her mad dash away from the scene. s**t, s**t, s**t!!! She didn't want detention again by any means, and certainly she was going to spare Bea from it as well! RUNNING!
However, on the way out, her foot caught on something. As long as Bea stayed up, however, Shehk would be able to say on her feet as well to make an escape.
(( If Bea makes an escape, so will Shehk. If Bea goes down, so will she. XDD ))
