Marissa Katra Darling
Marissa flinched as Ryu placed his hand on her shoulder but didn't pull away, she was still caught in the nightmare though she was awake. Her mind was still playing her memories back to her, making it seem as if it was real and not something from the past. "Not real...Big b-brother not d-dragging me back to p-pack...Baby brother not k-kicking me as I'm tied to s-stakes..." Moans of pain slip from her lips as she continues to rock, not feeling Ryu next to her. It took another fifteen minutes before Marissa seemed to calm down and relax some. And as her mind started to clear away the remained of the nightmare Marissa stiffened slightly as she felt arms around her and smelled Ryu next to her. Marissa closed her eyes tightly as she sat there in Ryu's arms, she couldn't believe that he was holding her, let alone allowing to lay on his parents bed, for she noticed she was no longer on her pallet but on a soft bed. As she spoke she kept her eyes closed and didn't turn to face him, to embarrassed by her weakness. "W-wwhy are you b-being so k-k-kkind to me?" As the chill that had surrounded her as she dreamed faded to the warmth of Ryu's body Marissa couldn't hold her tears back any longer. Turning towards Ryu she buried her face in the space between his neck and shoulder and started to cry. Her fears, emotions and thoughts somehow broadcasting clearly to Ryu. I don't want to relive those months every night, I can't take it. I just wish my past would stop haunting me, wish that for once I could sleep without fearing I'll relive the day when my own family punished me for things I didn't do. Sobbing those thoughts continued to play through their minds, though Marissa didn't know how connected they seemed to be already, at least how connected Ryu was to her. I wish I didn't have to hide and move from cave to cave, that someone could actually accept me for what I am instead of wanting me dead or tortured. Why can't I find what my parents had...?

 Ryu Aidan Hunter Ryu wrapped his arms around her. "Marissa, i am here to help you. Let me help you, and you wont have to relive those memories." Ryu told her reassureing her and trying to comfort her."You have been through so much in your life...it isnt right, no one should have to go through what you went through. I just want to help..and..i am not sure..but, i feel some kind of connection to you...something i have never felt for anyone." Ryu wasnt what sure on what else to say, and he hoped that didnt sound wierd.

Sobbing Marissa shook her head, not wanting to believe that Ryu could actually care enough to want to hep her. She had to keep herself distanced from him, though she knew it was futile to do so. They were already connected even though Marissa hadn't been able to accept that yet. "W-wwhy?" That was all she could say as she cried and pressed herself closer to Ryu. As Ryu held her she slowly allowed herself to relax into his arms, her crying slowing down to silent tears rolling down her cheeks. She she listened to him she couldn't believe that he was feeling the same thing she felt towards him. "I...I f-feel a connection to you too...a-almost as if I'm d-drawn to you..." She blushed and even though her face was still pressed against the hollow between his neck and shoulder Marissa closed her eyes and hid her face more fully there. As she sat there thinking about what they had both just said she finally allowed herself to stop fighting what she felt for Ryu. She allowed herself to relax completely in his arms, praying that he wouldn't hurt her like her family and pack did. She didn't think he would physically harm her, but that wasn't the only way she could be hurt.

Ryu Aidan Hunter Ryu smiled at what she said, and that she had calmed down a lot. "I feel as if i am drawn to you as well, as if something is pulling me closer, and I like it"" Ryu said smileing and holdig her in his arms. Then he started purring."I will never hurt you." Ryu told her hoping it would help. ((OOC: ))

Knowing she would have to face Ryu sooner or later she pulled back slightly and wiped at her eyes and cheeks before looking up to him. "But..I'm an A-Arcadian...How can you l-like that you are d-drawn to me?" Knowing that Ryu might deny that he too had hard feelings for her kind Marissa shook her head slightly and continued before allowing Ryu to speak. "Do not try and deny that you too have hard f-feelings towards all Arcadians. I could sense your anger when you found out. I could also sense that you too had some type of horrible run in with some Arcadians." As she heard him starting to purr Marissa looked up at him in shock. "I shouldn't put it past you but I do not think you would ever harm me p-physically...But there is more then physical pain that could end up hurting me..." She lowered her eyes slightly as she said that last part, knowing that it was showing that she was falling for him.

Ryu Aidan Hunter Ryu stopped purring and sighed. "I did have a bad run in with the aracadians, everyone in the village did." Ryu looked at her and sat up."Let me explain...like i said, you were raised katagarian, so it doesnt bother me...but the arcadians...back when i was just a kid, not able to change forms, there was an arcadian tribe near by. Our tribe and the arcadian tribe were always fighting, but they had an agreement, no matter what, do not harm the children, and both sides abided by this. After awhile they got sick of the fighting and they tried to make a peace treaty, things were looking better, but while the treaties were negotiaded, a small group of arcadians, stole three tiger cubs. our tribe was outraged and they declared war. The two sides fought eachother for half a year. In that half year the three tiger cubs were tortured, and each of them was branded with the word beast. The arcadians branded into their backs, so the cubs were forever marked. At this point my mother devised a plan to rescue the cubs, two teams were sent in, each of 5 members, one team made a distraction breaking down the main wall, the other 5 snuck in to find the cubs, they found them, but one of them was dead. Its mother was part of the rescue team, she lost control and went on a killing spree. The others got the two cubs out and to the medics, the second cub died before they even got there. They were lucky enough to save the last of those cubs, but the war wiht the arcadians..well..our warriors didnt let any of them run away..those were darker times for our tirbe, some still hate the arcadians. My father made it a law, no one was to tell the children what had happened, so they would one day try to see the arcadians as equals...dad only wanted peace." Ryu told her, hoping she wouldnt take it the wrong way. He wasnt sure if this knowledge would help or not but it was important for her know now. "You are nothing like the arcadians this tribe used to know, i dont even see you as one, you were born and raised amongst katagarians, to me, you are one of us." ((OOC: ))

Marissa sat there and listened to him as he told her about what had happened that had caused his pack to have such a hatred for Arcadian's. And as she listened she paled as he described what had been done to the cubs. When he was finished telling her she sobbed and wrapped her arms around him. "I..I'm so sorry for what they did to you..." She pulled back from him and looked him in the eyes as she spoke softly. "I am Arcadian by blood but I was raised as Katagarian. I think no matter where I was raised I would be the same. I do not think I would ever be able to do what those Arcadian's did to those cubs. I know the two races will forever be at war but I will never be one of them." She sighed and hung her head slightly as she looked to her hands, praying that what she was about to say wouldn't make Ryu turn away from her. "R-Ryu...I think my f-father's pack was the pack to do that to y-you...I remember as a c-child my f-father spoke about a t-time before he m-met my m-mmother that his pack had t-taken some Katagarian c-cubs...He didn't take p-part in any of it...but he c-could do n-nothing to s-sstop the others..." Marissa worried her hands together in her lap as she spoke telling him of all her father had told her, of how he had wished to stop what had happened. She then told him of how he had met her mother. "It was r-right before your warriors went there to get the cubs that my f-father left. He had been their h-healer and when he f-felt the first cub die he l-left. Some weeks later was when he met my m-mother. She had been s-shot by a h-hunter but had been able to get away. He helped heal her, it took m-months before she was fully healed." She sighed as she risked a glance at Ryu to see how he was reacting to all she had said.
((OOC: If you want you can push it forward to where Ryu and her mate. Maybe have him kiss her to show her he has accepted her and then have things go from there.))

Ryu Aidan Hunter Ryu hugged her. "It is a good thing he left when he did, once the rescue team got to us and once she lost control..she started killing every arcadian in sight. If he didnt leave then, you might not be here, and i would probably be dead." Ryu told her. he wasnt sure if she picked up on the us part or not, but for now it wasnt important that he was the third cub that was kidnapped. He hugged her and gave her a kiss. He wasnt sure how she would react, he only hoped she wouldnt reject him. ((OOC: how is that?))

Marissa closed her eyes slightly as Ryu hugged her, she took a breath as she lightly wrapped her arms around him in a hug. As she listened to him speaking she pulled back, a look of shock and horror on her face as she shook her head. "I...I'm so sorry Ryu...I'm sorry for what they put you t-through...I wish I could change what they did to you...I'm so, so sorry..." She shook her head and wiped the tears from her eyes as she looked to him. And when he hugged her she tightly wrapped her arms around him in a return hug. When he pressed his lips to hers Marissa closed her eyes as she froze in place, but that didn't last long. Sighing she slowly and hesitantly started to return Ryu's kiss.
((OOC: Ok I just noticed i kinda fked up my own story. I said that Marissa's father didn't meet her mother until after the conflict with Ryu's tribe. If that was the case then Marissa would be younger then Ryu but she is not she is older. So maybe what it can be is that Marissa's parents came across each other in the past, say her father's tribe kidnapped her mother and was going to rape her and beat her and so on. Not wanting her to be harmed in such a way her father volunteered to be the one to do all the 'damage' and over the months they kept her they found out they were mates and her father not wanting her to be hurt or killed set her free and then ran into her again after the conflict. But what her father didn't know until after he healed her was that from their time together she had become pregnant with her and her older brothers.))

Ryu Aidan Hunter Ryu held her close as she returned his kiss. He began purring and he kissed her back keeping the kiss going. As he closed his eyes he could feel his heart pounding in his chest. He didnt know why but he just wanted to be with Marissa and to never leave her. His purring grew louder as he held her close. ((OOC: that sounds like it would work.))

Marissa smiled as a rumble was heard coming from her as well. She moved closer to Ryu as she lightly ran the fingers of one hand through the hair at the back of his neck while the other rested on the bed. She wasn't a virgin, she had been with two males before, but that had been a long time ago, long before she had been chased from her pack. She was unsure of what to do next though, she had never been able to relax when with the males she had been with for fear they would learn what she was so she was new to this in a sense.
((OOC: You can time skip whenever you want to. If you do though let me be the one to react to the marks that they will be getting. Choose one of these for their mate marks. Just choose one cause they are both the same.))

Marissa Katra Darling Some time later Marissa laid on the bed with her head resting on Ryu's bare chest as she held him close to her. A blush was on her cheeks as she nuzzled him. "That was... incredible Ryu...." She giggled slightly at her words before she closed her eyes and allowed herself to relax and soon fell asleep. An hour later Marissa woke up as she gasped and shook her hand as she felt a burning pain on her left palm. After a few minutes she glanced down to her hand and gasped as she saw the mate mark on her palm. She stared at her palm for a few seconds before glancing up to Ryu, praying that he wouldn't reject her. She nibbled on her lower lip as she glanced back down to her palm and then back to her own. "R-r-r-ryu...? I...I think we are m-m-m-mmates..." She held up her hand, her palm facing his as she sat there after conjuring up a nightshirt for herself.

He looked at Marissa's mark and then his, they were both the same. He showed her his mark."We are mates Marissa."Ryu looked at her and hoped she wouldnt reject him, he had feeling for her."Marissa, will you accept me as your mate?" ((OOC: ))

Marissa looked up at Ryu and then at the mark he showed her on his left palm. At his statement she nodded her head slightly before speaking in a soft tone. "It...It s-seems as we are m-mates..." She looked to him with worry in her eyes that turned to confusion at his question. "I s-should be asking you that Ryu...After what you t-told me will you be able to a-accept me...?" She bit her lower lip slightly but looked him in the eyes as she spoke, wanting him to know she meant everything she said. "I...I want to be your m-mate...I do have f-ffeelings for you R-Ryu...but can you a-accept me? Will your t-tribe accept me?"
