Steven

Steven nodded as the group reached it's agreement. Addressing the treasure was the best idea.
The Wartortle took a careful step back as the grass began to grow, but settled down when it became apparent that they weren't under attack.
The answer is attacks, is it...?
Four lines came and went without comment from the Wartortle. The first two were simply solved too fast.
The latter two he had no idea. He didn't know much about legendaries and he'd never actually known a flying type...
Not to mention moves and abilities were outside his area of expertise. He knew the general threats and capabilities of most pokemon, but the actual names were well beyond him.
Even when the most recent line came up, he had little to offer.
"Let us float like we're in love."
There were a few moves that had to do with love and such, but float...? He had no idea.
Well, not that there was any harm in hazarding a guess.
"Sweet Kiss, maybe?"
He was a little less than certain, but there it was all the same.

Reginald & Desdemona & Anastasia

At the sound of the next verse, "let us float like we're in love" Desdemona snorted and pointed to the guild master. "Use Role Play, Solly!" She shouted, doubling over in laughter.
"Desdemona!" Reginald snapped. Address the guildmaster properly! She gave him a silly grin before redoubling in laughter.
"Sweet Scent sounds more logical to me."
"What, it floats in the air?" Anastaisa asked. Reginald facepalmed.
"...Pretty much."
"Desdemona?" The meowth called over.
"Fine." She rolled her eyes. Whirling in a pierouette, light, fluffy, pink powder wafted from her being and floated to the statue.

((Edit: Forgot Desdemona knew Sweet Scent o-o"))

Finian's ears perked up at the reading of the next riddle. Throughout all this he had little incentive to participate until now, and even with a correct answer looming in his head he waited a few more moments to see if anyone else decided to guess it first so he didn't have to explain his logic.
"It's Heart Stamp."
He said with almost too much assurance in his voice and loud enough obviously for those in the immediate area to hear and hopefully react as he definitely did not know the said move himself.
"I once met this Jynx and she kne...Nevermind, just try the damn move; by first hand experience it fits the description rather well."
He felt as if he needed to provide some logic for attacking the statue before barking out orders at the cost of awkward blushing and some not so fond memories though.

Solaris---Fiorin-----Cheshire-----Chase

Okay, this was just silly now. Fiorin had to restrain from smacking his head against the nearest tree at the assortment of 'love' oriented attacks flying about. It was downright disturbing and was that Audion hitting on the statue? Alright, that was quite enough.
His initial plan would be to smack Solaris against the statue again had not an Absol finally tossed in his two cents. Well, that certainly made more sense than anything else he'd heard.
Solaris, having finally pushed himself up off the ground to rub at his face which had collided with the statue first, turned to see that horrid Pikachu eyeing him again.
"Wh-what...?"
"Heart Stamp."
"N-no, that's...that's so girly and gross. I'm not doing it!"
Fiorin's tail lifted from it's low drag on the ground and it swished it lightly in what Solaris saw as a threatening gesture. Grudingly the Espeon turned to the statue. Okay, Heart Stamp. Heart Stamp.
Uh-huh. Nothing happening yet. Maybe he needed to stare HARDER.
Widening his eyes he took on an almost deraned expression as he gawked at the statue, his tail taised stiffly behind him and his legs rigid and straight.
He looked...somewhat...crazy. Fiorin glanced around at the crowd of gathered Pokemon before turning in the opposite direction of Solaris and slamming his tail into the Espeon within the same motion.
The result sent the Psychic flying into the statue once more with the desired effect of strange, pink hearts imploding around him on impact.
The statue's orb gave a bright gleam of pale pink before ringing alongside the other colored gems.
Next line...Fiorin stepped up to read it once again as Solaris was busy having a concussion.
"Let passion burn the path."

Continuing his trend of ignoring the whole damn situation, Chase could only watch with a mix of horror and amusement as Tammet joined the Blight hatefest...a bit too late. Ah well, it was the thought that mattered.
The Kirlia responded by stepped up towards the Scraggy and giving him a pat on the head and a smile.
"You're okay with me. What's your name?"

Cheshy seemed to take her new role as 'daughter' quite well and proceeded to chase her new 'daddy; as he ran from 'mommy' who was clearly upset over something involving a sammich.
Whatever, this was fun! She liked running! Weee, running!
Unfortunately the balance of a newborn Zorua with an extraordinarily poofy tail was a bit offset and within a few steps the little fox went nose first into the ground with her rump sticking comically up into the air.
Cue screaming and crying with the intensity of someone who'd just lost a limb.

The lines are in order and must be completed in order. The first is an introduction and can be ignored. Same for the last two lines. The eight inbetween are your riddles. Guess the attack described and unleash it to answer. If no one has the attack then fret not, Solaris can do it. Make sure you answer though so he knows what to do.

You are now set to a timer. One post per round, one guess per round for each person.
You have two free throws in case no one guesses the answer in one round.
If you exceed two mistakes, then you lose.
Think carefully~

Steven

Steven took a few steps back when the hearts burst out and carefully slipped behind another pokemon.
Whether or not it was Heart Stamp remained to be seen. It could be attract.
The last thing Steven needed was to be magically attracted to this asshat.
Once he was content that the barrage of potential doom was over, he slipped back out.
Well, he was worthless here. He knew nothing about fire attacks. You didn't need to know much about fire attacks when you were a water-type.
So... random guess away! The Pikachu seemed to have a good head on his shoulders, so there was no harm in tossing out a guess.
"Heat Wave, maybe?"
There were a lot of fire attacks that could fit that riddle, to be honest, and he didn't know what even half of them were called.

Pixie Frankie

Well since he knows that he won't be much use at the moment unless a fire breaks out or something, Arceus forbid, Frankie decides it might be a good idea to rest his legs for a minute. How long has he been standing? It's been a while. So he just waddles off a lttle bit, so he won't be in anybody's way, and sits down

He notices a Scraggy drop a boulder on a Buneary, on accident it appears, and then chuckles at a little Zorua who face plants on the ground while chasing after a blue Sneasel. But then she starts crying. The Squirtle stiffens for a second then looks around to see if anyone stops to quiet the poor thing. No one seems to notice her at the moment because they all pretty much seem focused on the riddle. Maybe he should calm her down?

The Squirtle stands back up and shuffles a bit akwardly towards the Zorua. ever since he got out of the 'kid' stage, he's always felt a bit akward around them.

"Hey, it's ok. You're not hurt are you?"

Back around the statue, Pixie is thinking about the current line. The Vulpix kicks at a bit of the dirt at her paws in frustration.

"I wish I knew more fire moves than just ember and will-o-wisp. Then maybe I could actually be of use right now! Unless for some reason... Well it won't hurt will it?"

While trying her best not to light the grass on fire, that would definely screw up the mission, Pixie shot an ember at the statue. Hopefully Frankie was paying enough attention to water gun any grass that caught on fire. She checks the grass and rubs out the few embers that strayed from the attack. Nothing to horrendous. Let's just see if it works shall we?

Tammet

Tammet stared up at Chase as soon as his head was pat.
It seemed someone was accepting of his eccentricities.
He would have smiled back, but his mouth wasn't really made that way.
"... Tammet Daniels," The Scraggy responded blankly as he was asked for his name.
Taking note of the muffled screams of horror, the Scraggy turned on his heel and lifted his leg up.
His foot was literally right beside his head as he stretched his leg up high.
He brought it down in an axe kick right onto the boulder, crumbling it with his Brick Break and leaving Blight with the ability to breathe.
"Sorry 'bout'at, guv'..."

Harumi - Victor - Aiden

"I think it's a little too ineffective to keep throwing random Fire attacks at it," Victor commented as he watched the other Pokemon with their attempts.
"The riddle speaks of passion. I wonder..."
"Outrage?"
Victor looked over at Aiden, a puzzled look on his face.
The Umbreon was actually being helpful?
"Yeah. Anger and rage, it's considered really passionate. And being a Dragon type attack, it usually has to do with fire. It's simple, Victor," Harumi perked up with a bored yawn.
Victor could only twitch as the two normally juvenile Pokemon decided to try and school him.
Whatever, if they were correct, it just meant moving on that much faster.

Morana && Zora && Veritas

As they solved riddles after riddle (she had no idea what the hell Heart Stamp is, and really didn't know why Sky attack was the proper answer because everything was meta) Veritas began to make her way back through the crowds. At the next question, honestly she had no idea. So far a lot of the hints seemed to have subtle suggestions about what the moves are beyond the obvious but they've always been beyond Veritas's comprehension so...

"Anna, do you mind throwing a flamethrower at it?"
Not that fluff wise flamethrower and ember are any different, but whatever!

Morana did so.

Melissa && Katara

Melissa blinked and turned back to the squirtle that address her.

"It's just what Veritas -the Jolteon- said. It makes sense, so I tried it." Then she moved back into the crowd to allow everyone else to get a shot at the statue. Honestly there wasn't much more she could do!

Katara's just chillin'

Reginald & Desdemona & Anastasia

Desdemona seemed to deflate slightly; she wanted to see Solaris use Role Play, but oh well. A couple of Pokemon had their turns at throwing their random fire based attacks; first a small ember, then a larger flamethrower.
"Lemme try." Reginald squared himself up with the statue as to avoid as many casualties as possible and opened his maw. An orange-white glow began to illuminate his mouth and a Fire Blast shot out, smacking the statue's side and exploding into five red-colored smoking pillars.
Anastasia frowned, "Maybe its Fusion Flare. That's pretty powerful."

( Red & Blue & Jay & Jo(e)y & Alaisdair )

Jay skid to a stop as he quickly noticed he had lost his "extra baggage". He turned around, trying to hold back a grin. She was adorable and hilarious at the same time, look at that pose! Looked like something right out of a cartoon, if only he had turned around in time to see the fall...it must have been spectacular!

Oh Arceus, wait...she was crying. Its okay, just count to three and it'll be all over...
1...
Crap.
2...
Crap.
3...
CRAP. She was still crying! It was starting to get worse, wasn't it? Okay, think, think, think...aha! Kids liked cute things, right? Now he just had to...

His body became enveloped in shimmering black as he changed shape, the blackness fading away to reveal a Mime Jr. with a familiar lime green color on him. He had a big, happy smile on his face as he stood on the tip of one of his new feet, hands stretched out to try and balance. He stood alright for a few seconds before wobbling from side to side, hands flailing on his sides as he put on a shocked expression before falling head-first into the ground. His face, now directly in front of Cheshires, still had that big silly grin as he looked at her, "And we all fall down! Hahaha, this is fun!"

Joy turned tail and ran back to his team as Heart Stamp was used successfully meaning his public embarrassment didn't even matter. This was bad, this was really bad...and he picked up Alaisdair as soon as he found the Oddish and used him to cover his face. Red, choosing to ignore everyone in her team because they were all stupid, listened as everyone here and there threw a guess. She yawned, looking at the statue, "Its Lava Plume, totally. Now someone burn that thing" she finished her sentence by looking around for a Flareon. She'd seen at least one or two Flareon here before, one of them had to have come...and if not, well, lets just hope Solaris likes the insides of his mouth well done.

Steven

Steven glanced about idly. There wasn't a whole lot he could do, honestly... the riddles needed names and names weren't something he could supply. He knew plenty about various attacks, abilities and techniques... he really did. He just didn't know what any of them were called.
There was one, though. One he had a good guess at and one he could actually do himself.
It was kind of funny, how they called it a dance. You could dance if you wanted to, but the core of the technique was nothing so gaudy.
It was simply focus. It was a call out to the clouds and the water far above him that served as his ally... a prayer to nature itself.
The Wartortle closed his eyes and quietly began muttering under his breath. His father had taught him the ability when he was young, and though it was difficult he could make use of it. He wasn't nearly powerful enough to call upon a storm at a whim, but if it was just a bit of rain he could do that fairly easily.
Far, far above in the sky veiled by thick foliage and trees a cluster of dark, solemn clouds began to form.

Solaris---Fiorin-----Cheshire-----Chase

It was 'Lava Plume' that got Solaris's attention once more as he slowly peeled his face off the statue where it had comically gotten fused to in the most embarrassing display of hearts and pink that he'd ever been involved with.
Except that one time. And that other time. And that last time.
He turned to the Pikachu who insisted on beating him to answer each and every question. WHY. This wasn't fair!
Fiorin stared back at the Espeon with a calm, but unamused expression. He slapped his tail against the ground with quick, loud 'thwacks' that made Solaris flinch with each sound.
Finally, at his wits ends as the Pikachu made no move to so much as step toward him, Solaris did the reasonable thing and just flung himself at the statue in advance.
The sudden flurry of flames that sputtered out around him from the impact only sent the Espeon running for cover with a scream building in his throat that never made it past a squeal of terror. Dropping to the ground a fair distance away he proceeded to writh in flames until he was reduced to a pile of smoking, pink fur.
A sudden Rain Dance from a Wartortle who quickly deduced the next line of "Let sorrow rain from above" came a bit to late to assist.
He's fine though, ignore him.
Well, onto the last line. Fiorin sighed and quickly read it, though only the most key of parts, out loud.
"Heaven's Wrath." Well, hell. Apparently whoever wrote this poem ran out of clever ideas and decided to just vomit words that were easy as hell to understand onto the plaque.
H-hey..;___;

Cheshy sniffled, her eyes widening and sloppy tears dribbling down her face as she redirected her attention to the odd, silly Pokemon that dropped down before her. That...that was her new 'daddy' wasn't it? How did he do that!? That was so cool! The tiny Zorua was on her feet, sitting back on her haunches to clap her front paws together in delight.
"Again!" She squeaked, clearly demanding more of this magic that the bigger Zorua could perform. "Again, again!"

"He'll be fine." Chase added quickly to the Scraggy's apology and then rescue of Blight who was not the Kirlia's chief concern at the moment. Rather Tammet, as he was now known as, was. What was this little guy doing out here anyways? Sure, there were a few kids out here but most of them had a guardian watching over them. This Scraggy did not.
"Where's your team at, Tammet?" He asked as politely and gently as possibly. The Kirlia didn't know if this was a touchy subject, or if the Scraggy was even a member of the guilds. He didn't seem to have a badge, nor did he have any indication of team status that some of the teams took. Like that team with the colored bands they wore. It wasn't regulation, but it was helpful in telling them apart. He pondered whether or not having them for his own team was worth the effort before turning back to Tammet with a smile as he waited an answer.

Reginald & Desdemona & Anastasia

Desdemona's brows rose. Wow, the last two riddles went out quite quickly, but it was quite obvious that the last one was rain dance. Oh well. Anastasia sat on her haunches next to her captain; there really wasn't much to do, seeing how underdeveloped her move pool was. Though, she honestly wondered what was with the statue? Would it actually give them something useful, or would it bring ruin upon them? Maybe, it would shoot out lightning or gather a whole bunch of Pokemon. Maybe they would get the prize, but loose Meda in turn. She sighed and lay in the grass, both hands cushioning her head. Nope, nothing to do...
Reginald's ears perked up at the last line. Heaven's wrath? He sat bolt upright.
"Now, Solaris! Judgement!"
PostPosted: Thu Sep 22, 2011 2:55 pm

Steven

Judgment? That was stupid there was no way it was Judgme...
Then again, if this was some kind of "destiny" thing that would make perfect sense.
That didn't mean that it was a good idea to start channeling Arceus into the surroundings and destroy the forest.
"Let's not use Judgment right away. We might level the whole damn forest... the riddle might mean Thunder or Thunderbolt. It had us summon a storm just now, after all."
Well, not that he could really call it a storm. That would've been far too much energy when a little one did the job.

Tammet

The young Scraggy looked down at Blight, blinking with a blank expression.
He didn't look like he'd be fine...
Oh well, what the taller Pokemon says is always right!
...Right?
Then came the question of where Tammet's team was at.
Lifting a paw to his head and taking that odd sitting position of his, he scratched the top of his dome in thought.
"Well, whereva' thea's a cemetary o' a graveyah'd... That's probably whea' they ah'," he responded rather calmly.
He was well aware of Rev's current status as adviser of the Guild of Fire, but that guy was like a zombie so he didn't count in Tammet's eyes.
To him, everyone was dead.
Of course he felt emotions of sorrow that went with that, he just wasn't very good at showing.
Everything just kinda' came off as a blank expression.

Harumi - Victor - Aiden

Victor raised a scythe, nodding his head as the Wartortle spoke.
"I'm in agreement with him. Even if Judgment is the answer, it is far too risky to simply launch it around as we please. Let's try finding another answer and save this attack as a last resort," the Scyther replied.
Harumi pouted, stepping forward as well.
"Well, what else could it be?" She asked, willing to listen to any answer.
"Again, Wartortle boy is right. There are myths of Gods that strike from the heavens with lightning. I say we give Thunder a shot."
As Aiden spoke, he sat on his rump and scratched behind his ear with his hind paw.
He just wanted to fight, not solve these dumb riddles.
