Bobby Grimmjow - 3rd year Hufflepuff Bobby chuckled at the way Scarlet shook his hand. She seemed to be really nice. And the best thing, he thought, was that she was different and didn't hide it. When another girl came by and asked to fix Scarlet's hair, he recognized that it was one of the Hufflepuffs he'd seen walking around the common room. He looked towards her after she tidied up Scarlet's hair. "Hi, I'm Bobby. I don't think we've had the chance to meet yet." He said with a smile, holding out his big hand in greetings. He looked up at the board for a second to see the ingredient, while still holding out his hand, then looked back down. ((It's tough when your mum abandons you when you're a baby. Helen was awaiting the girl's response, but quickly replied to the boys next to her. "Langtry? I think I've heard of that name somewhere before...but I'm not up in local affairs or even national affairs - I'm from Ireland and don't know much about England!" Helen laughed, hoping to cover up her embarrassment with it. She then turned to Bobby and craned her neck up; "Hi up there too! Pity I'm so short, or I'd give you a hug - aren't you adorable! I'm Helen, the Hufflepuff prefect." Helen smiled, and felt more adorable herself when compared to him, being one of the shortest people in the school (she was only up to his waist!), but she still found non-mainstream people just amazing!

...Come play with me, won't you? ...I promise I don't bite. ☽ 3rd Year Ravenclaw ☾ "Oh! How lovely!" Scarlet ran her thumb over a petal of the daisy, lips spread across her face in a smile. This look was much better than her poor attempt at earthly decoration earlier. Why she hadn't thought of this originally was beyond her.
"Thank you, Helen! My name to answer your question is Scarlet." The young witch said brightly, nodding her head one too many times as a polite gesture before turning to look up at the board. Reaching to unlatch it from her necklace, she pulled forth a pointlessly large pen that was covered with buttons galore. Each when pressed would reveal a different color ink or writing medium. Where such a writing utensil could be found she did not know. It had been a gift from her parents her first year at Hogwarts, and it had served her well until now. She jotted the potion recipe down quickly, and tucked it away for future reference before turning back toward the three.
Scarlet didn't give any more attention to the height difference between her and Bobby than was needed. Being a weirdo herself, she classified anything out of line as her standard of what was normal. To Scarlet, the true definition of strange was uniformity between people. Her logic was that anyone who didn't accept individuality didn't appreciate the excitement it brought to life.

Helen was amazed at the girls pen - it was so pretty! She then realised that they had to get down to work. "Should I start? I love potions, and my mam made this one at home A LOT!" Helen went to the cupboard to get the ingredients, broght them back and popped in the grass to boil.

✦Rashid Langtry✦ -4th Year Hufflepuff-
He smiled at how welcoming the two where twords Ashby, she was an odd duck of sort, one who wasn't "In" with the most general population of kids. But Bobby, as well as Helen seem to except her for all her little quarks. "Yes, I believe it is the best time as ever." he replied as he sat up and went to the cupboard, picking out the right ingredients he went back to the table they where all at and lined them up, so not one would be touching each other or the other students belongings.
Getting the scurvy grass , Rashid first started his fire under the cauldron and gently let the grass slip from his fingers into the pot. He would now wait for it to come to a boil. Turning his attention to Helen he spoke, "Did you ever watch her make this, or participate?" he said evenly, keeping an eye on his cauldron to make sure to do the next step when boiling.

"No, I've never watched the Professor do this, but my mother is a potion maker for a living - she does all this at home!" Helen smiled at Rashid as she sprinkled the Sneezewort into her cauldron and started mixing. 1...2...3...4...5...counterclockwise... And this went on for about a minute or so, before she took out the lovage that she had harvested in Professor Epithia's class and started to chop them up. "Why do you ask Rashid?"

✦Rashid Langtry✦ -4th Year Hufflepuff-
As the cauldron came to a boil, Rashid took two of his fingers and took a pinch of Sneezewort and started to stir it in, as he did this..he began to do the stirring method, 30 stirs clockwise with a counterclockwise stir every five stirs. After this was done, he continued with the next step. Picking up his knife with his left hand, he chopped 3 sprigs of lovage and added them to the cauldron. From there he placed the knife back down and gave his attention back to Helen. "Just curious to tell you the truth..it seems like you have a leg up on everyone" he said a bit bashfully. He looked upon Helen with his multi colored eyes, one a deep forest green and the other a deep yellow set upon her. He looked away quickly, and pointed down at her cauldron. "Dont let it burn!" he said as he let out a laugh. He quickly took his own advice, and turned down the heat to his cauldron, and eventually gone entirely. He would have to wait until it cooled down, and wait an entire day before he tested it out.

Bobby Grimmjow - 3rd year Hufflepuff Bobby's face grew red when Helen called him adorable. He had never been called adorable before. He'd been called a monster, a freak, and an idiot but never adorable. He didn't really know how to react to that. He decided to get his ingredients and put them beside his bag. He hardly talke while getting his area ready. He was deep in thought about how his potion might turn out. He took half a hand full of scurvy grass, since his hand was the size of 2, and put it into the cauldron. when 15 minutes were up, he lit a fire under his cauldron and it started boiling. He snapped back to reality when he noticed the next step. Now came the difficult part. He wished Zoe was here to help him. He found it really easy to ask her for help, but didn't know how these guys would react to his question. He just decided to get on with it and asked. "Um, can someone help me with the pinch of sneezewort? I always grab too much." He said with a weak smile. ((It's tough when your mum abandons you when you're a baby. ✦Rashid Langtry✦ -4th Year Hufflepuff-
Rashids potion was still cooling down, so when Bobby asked for help Rashid was more then happy to oblige. He quickly washed and dried his hands in a bowl of nearby water and towel and walked over to the young giant. He towered over Rashid and that was somthing Rashid wasn't used to..he was 6' and normally was taller then everyone else..so this was new to him..but he didint mind it so much, bobby seemed like a nice kid.
Still having some left over, Rashid used his. Using two fingers, he grabbed just a pinch and dropped it into Bobby's cauldron. "There ya go Bobby" He said evenly, looking up at him and then moving his gaze to everyone else in the room.

Bobby Grimmjow - 3rd year Hufflepuff Bobby smiled at Rashid. "Thanks. It's always the pinches that get me. I'm thinking about getting a spoon the size of a pinch but I haven't been able to find one." He said, stirring his potion 30 times clockwise, making sure to put in that counterclockwise stir after every other 5. Then he started chopping his three sprigs of lovage. He still wished Zoe were here to talk to. Not that these people weren't fun to talk to, he just really liked Zoe with her personality. Maybe she was sick. Bobby added the lovage to his cauldron and watched the clock for 5 minutes. "So, do any of you guys have a broom?" He asked the others without taking his eyes off the clock. He wanted to make sure that this potion was perfect. ((It's tough when your mum abandons you when you're a baby. But what can you do when she's a Giant and you're too small? Helen giggled, at both the idea of a spoon the size of a pinch and also the fact that Rashid had told her not to burn her mixture, yet she hadn't even added the lovage yet, nevermind set it to boil. "I'm sorry Bobby, but wouldn't you break a spoon the size of a pinch? Your hands are pretty beefy - wouldn't it like bend or something? Unless it was made of some crazy indestructible metal or something...And Rashid, my mixture isn't even boiling yet - but thanks anyway!"Helen turned back to her lovage, dropped it into the cauldron and started to boil it up. At this moment in time, Helen felt very small, and perhaps a little insignificant - at 5' 3" she stood at Bobby's waist and Rashid's boobs, for lack of a better word. Then she thought hmmm...pectorals?...and giggled to herself at the idea. Then Helen addressed Bobby's question; "No, I don't have a broom. I'm actually afraid of flying, and heights - I can't fly..." Helen then set her mixture to cool, and took out a choccy bar to chomp on, and also to lift her spirits at the fact that she never could fly...

Bobby Grimmjow - 3rd year Hufflepuff Bobby put out the fire under his cauldron after 5 minutes and waited while it cooled. He looked over at Helen and laughed at her description of his hands. "Actually, a lot of my things have had strengthening charms put on them so that they don't break. I would make sure the handle was long anyways." He said with a smile. He didn't mind people asking about how he dealt with things with his size. Really, he preferred that over the starring. "I was afraid of heights until I was 8." He said, understanding what it was like. ((It's tough when your mum abandons you when you're a baby. But what can you do when she's a Giant and you're too small? Picture at 8 years old --> wink )

Helen laughed out loud at Bobby's statement, spewing bits of chocolate in the process; "How could you be afraid of heights - it's so funny! I'm pretty short and close to the ground, but you're so tall - it's mad!" Helen then realised she had lost her sweets to the floor, and looked even more glum...For a small welp of a girl, she sure ate like a fat bird!

Bobby Grimmjow - 3rd year Hufflepuff Bobby looked at Helen. "That's the thing. The taller I got, the more the fear went away. It works the same way with fear of flying. You go a fixed low height every day until you're comfortable with it. Then you go higher and get used to that height. Then you go higher. You continue until, finally, the fear is gone. I grew an inch, I got used to that height. Then I grew another inch. I just stopped being afraid after a while. I bet if you get a broom and try what I said, you will stop being afraid of heights and flying." He said in a kind voice seeing the gloomy look on her face. "It doesn't matter how tall or short you are, it matters how you treat people no matter what the difference is." Bobby went by that one thought. No matter what the size, if you treat people right, eventually they'll treat you right. ((It's tough when your mum abandons you when you're a baby.
