George "Christian" JonesGeorgia, U.S.A.Freshman I said where I come from It's cornbread and chicken Where I come from a lotta front porch sittin' Where I come from tryin' to make a livin' And workin' hard to get to heaven Where I come from Christian chuckled lightly at his brother's choice, catching the irony. However, it was understandable that Andrew would want ham. He was a fan of pork.
He ordered his meal with a coke (when told they didn't have Coke or Sweet Tea, he just asked for a water with a disappointed tone). He heard Tennessee's question and lifted an eyebrow. There were a lot of people who hated America for some strange reason. He didn't understand why. They always did what they could to help out. Heck, many well-known military men came from one of Georgia's military schools. "There's always bound to be one bad egg in the nest. I wouldn't be surprised if there's at least one person who doesn't want to hurt us for no good reason. We just can't let it get to us. After all, we just do what we can to help everyone."

"Yeah..." Tennessee agreed although he was still obviously bothered by it. He didn't have the same exposure many of the east or west coast states had to foreigners since he didn't have any sea ports, major regional economic centers nor vital military academies. He'd only started having lots of people from different places after WWII forced him to take on part of the Manhattan Project and was still terribly naive when it came to foreigners. Finding out America wasn't beloved everywhere and they had serious enemies who wanted to hurt them had been a real shock to him. "America is strong so I don't think they'd try to mess with us anyway," Andrew decided as he snagged one of the free rolls out of the basket to munch on. He was impressed by how good it was. Or maybe he was just hungrier than he thought. "Hey, try one of these," he said more cheerfully than his pride would normally allow. Even after all these centuries he still hadn't learned not to speak with food in his mouth or to put his napkin in his lap. "They're real good."

The phrase "Were you raised in a barn?" probably could be truthfully answered with a, "Yes." That just made his brother that much cuter. He unrolled his napkins and sat his silverware in front of him in order like he had set the table and placed the napkin in his lap before he grabbed a roll and tore a little off to pop into his mouth. "Mmm, these are good!" Again, he might just be that hungry.
He heard Texas walk in and turned. He grinned and waved to his other brother. "Hey Tex! Of course you can come join us. We would never turn away family." He chuckled and motioned for Texas to take a seat. "So are you rooming with some of our sisters or other countries?"

Tennessee looked up and smiled when he noticed Texas. He more than readily scooted so his brother would have room to sit with them. "Have this," he said while he happily offered Alex a dinner roll as if he was sharing an exciting secret. When he finally processed what his brother meant about girls being in the dorm Andrew nearly choked on his roll. "I-Is that ok? You have to be careful 'bout that," he said with a faint blush at the thought of living under the same roof as a girl even if it was one of their sisters. Sure he had lived with North Carolina, but he'd been a little boy at the time. Even if he had seen something compromising it wasn't as if it meant anything to him when he was a small child. It was totally different.

Texas Alex Gilbert GonzalesAlex smiled as he took the roll from Tennessee ,"Thanks" he smiled as he saw the look on Tennessee's face when he told him he was in a dorm with girls, "Don't worry I'm being careful," He looked over at Christian and said " I'm dorm mates with Massachusetts and some girl from Quebec," He tore a piece off the roll and ate it. When the waiter came he ordered a hamburger with a glass of water. "So are you guys going to the dance?" He asked his brothers

He was surprised by how nervous Tennessee got at the thought of living under the same roof as a girl. It wasn't like Texas was locked into a crypt with zombies coming after him. He was just sharing a dorm with two girls. They even had their own rooms, so it wasn't like he might see something first thing in the morning when everyone was getting dressed. (You know, unless he forgot to knock... Which had happened to Christian once. Thankfully it wasn't one of his sisters, otherwise he would have gotten whooped.) "I'm sure Alex'll be more careful than you and I combined, Andy. Don't get yourself all worried over it."
At the mention of the dance, Christian looked up in thought. "I just got here today, so I don't know anyone I can take. If neither of you have ladies you're planning on escorting, then I would be much obliged if we could hang out at the dance." In other words, yes. He planned to go.

"Yeah, but..." Tennessee muttered although he let his sentence trail off and didn't finish it. Georgia had never lived with one of their sisters so he didn't know how scary they could be. Andrew was forgiven for any trespasses on account of being little. However, the scoldings which accompanied that forgiveness lead him to believe if he hadn't been at such an innocent age there would have been horrible repercussions. It almost sent a chill down his spine. Andrew was glad for the topic change although he couldn't quite look his brothers in the eye when he spoke and looked at his roll as if it was extremely interesting. "Um... I'm kinda goin' with someone," he muttered. "J-Just as friends." Were they friends? Probably. Well, maybe? "I don't think she'd mind if we went as a group though... She seems real nice and friendly."

So what? At least he knew how to survive in war and how to play good music. He also was capable of feeding and taking care of himself. So why would he have to fear living with a woman? "Quebec? Sounds familiar. Is that a country or is it kinda like us where it's a state of a different country?" You could say Christian was as bad as America when it came to read a map, but.... Truth be told, he might be worse. The only maps he owned were ones of his own state and maybe a few of his neighbors and Washington D.C. That was it. Hey, if he needed to go somewhere, then he could just use the GPS in this car.
At Tennessee talking about the girl he was taking with him, a sly smile came to his face. Yeah, normally he would go, "Why brother is so cute~," but this time seemed a little more serious. "My my, Tennessee. It seems as though you're fancying yourself a pretty young lady. Falling for her hard an' fast at that. Well, come on then. Who is she? Any one your brothers would know? Don't be shy about it. You know we won't tell a soul about it. Ain't that right, Texas?"

((*was going to wait for Texas, but has no sense of patience* >.>; Sorry.)) Tennessee's face went scarlet and the roll's oh-so-fascinating characteristics prevented him from looking up to see Georgia's smile. "I am not," he denied as stubbornly as he could manage. "We're just friends." Andrew fidgeted a little and relented enough to talk about her in spite of himself. "She's in our class... I think she's a French State called Seychelles, but I don't know anything 'bout her," he admitted. "We haven't gotten to talk much. She was in the gym when we left."

Alex Gilbert GonzalesAlex smiled as he looked at Andrew, "Don't worry I'll be fine, I haven't gotten on Massy's bad side yet." He smiled as he called his sister by his favorite nickname for her. Sure she wanted to kill him every time he called her that, but he didn't care. To answer Christian's question Alex looked at his brother and said "I think that Quebec is one of Canada's provinces"
As Andrew told his brothers about who he was going with to the dance Alex smiled, "I never knew you had it in you to ask a girl to the dance Andrew" He said and smiled. He looked at his brothers and said "I was thinking about asking our own Charlotte to the dance."

George "Christian" JonesGeorgia, U.S.A.Freshman I said where I come from It's cornbread and chicken Where I come from a lotta front porch sittin' Where I come from tryin' to make a livin' And workin' hard to get to heaven Where I come from Georgia recalled the girl with the tan skin and dark hair pulled into pig tails. She was a pretty girl, and she seemed nice and friendly. (At a glance, any ways. He didn't actually get the chance to talk to her.) It was nice to see his brother branching out to other people. He always had come off as skeptical of all strangers. Maybe this Seychelles girl would finally get him to come out of that tight shell of his. "Well, I'm happy that you found a girl to go to the dance with you, little brother. There ain't a thing about it you should feel embarrassed or ashamed of for it. In fact, I'm proud that you worked the courage to ask her, even if it is just as friends. Wouldn't want you to rush into anything. That's the problem with people now-a-days. They just don't slow down to actually get to know one another before they hook up." There he goes, going into his old-fashioned ways.
When Alex answered his question, he nodded with that sort of "Oh, right!" look on his face. "I like Canadians. They're nice." As Alex then revealed he was considering taking Charlotte, Christian smiled lightly. "That's mighty sweet of you to do that. I know Miss Charlotte's gonna be happy to be escorted by you to this dance. Hmm... Guess that means I have to find a young lady to escort as well. I'm sort of at a disadvantage with this... After all, I haven't really met anyone outside the family since I got here other than the Principal."Maybe he should just wait for tomorrow to see some of the other girls in the school and ask someone at lunch if they would mind going with him. It could be fun to get to know someone that way!
Dinner arrived and Christian gladly took his burger. He placed his napkin in his lap before he took his knife and cut his burger into fourths before he picked up on of the quarters and began to politely eat.
Out Of Coke :: Wow. I never knew clubs could be so much work. I know my parents never gave me a hard time about joining any. =( There aren't too many rules when you come here. Mind your P's an' Q's. Tennessee wasn't sure if he should feel insulted or not that they were so surprised he would ask someone out. Ok, maybe it hadn't happened before and maybe he wasn't quite as extroverted as either of his brothers, but he didn't think of himself as being shy. Then again, he hadn't actually 'asked' Seychelles so much as Massachusetts just blurted it out... That still didn't make him shy, did it? He missed most of Alex and Christian's discussion as he pondered over it until his sister's name came up. "Charlotte? Our Charlotte?" Tennessee asked in a way that sounded more like my Charlotte as he gave Alex a blank expression. Andrew was protective of all their siblings but of North Carolina in particular. He stared at the former cowboy for a few moments before slowly nodding. "I guess you'd have fun together," he said in a way that sounded more like if you thought the Alamo was bad, just see what happens if one hair is out of place on my big sister's head. He smiled encouragingly and it was a little hard to tell if that threat was real or imagined, but it was far from the worst reaction he could have had. Men had been shot for lesser things. Tennessee really did like Texas, after all. When the food came, Andrew finally took out his silverware and started to chow down without any care of where the napkin fell on (or off) the table. He got a few bites in before pausing and looking back at Texas. "You want some?" he offered between his mouthful of ham.

Marcello Vargas "Si, it is getting late." Marcello got to his feet, pushing in the chair he had been sitting in and leavign a generous tip on the table before paying up at the front for the meal. He stretched lightly before he took Luz Maria's hand gently. "Come on~" He said lightly as he walked the girl back to the school.
