DB:12 Felix felt his fist connect with the jaw of the dog, and then watched as the force carried through, laying the creature out. Felix himself stumbled back a few paces and collapsed to the ground, eyes wide while he watched the dog. He was terrified that he had killed it, and at the same time a little proud of his first win. Watching it after the combat though was not gratifying in the least, and he found himself glancing down and away from the blood... trying to think of something to do... trying to move on from this point. The boy's hand had not stopped shaking as he crawled over the cold grass under his fingertips, searching about and finally collecting his two Kunai that were nearby. He glanced up to notice Rhaim beckoning him over, and stood shakily... somehow finding his footing to walk over there and pretend to be alright. His heart was pumping, and his pain seemed to be going away at an amazing rate though... Felix glanced down to see the bite marks from the dog's teeth slowly fading, and he wiped the blood on his pant leg, leaning down at the same time as he drew closer to the older Genin, and collecting the Kunai that he threw first. Felix finally stood beside of the older boy, looking from Rhaim first, down to his pouch. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (rest +2hp/clan)

Rhaim sighed rather low to himself as Felix approached, more from the stench of the corpses than anything else. He really wasn't found of burnt hair to begin with and the fact that it was combined with open rotting flesh was not helping the matter. When the other boy did finally reach him, the teen stepped back and turned himself sideways to the boy so he could look at both Felix and the dogs. He kept his hands in his pockets as he spoke, "Only two of these ones are alive. The large one close to us and the first small one you come to. The largest one and the other two small ones are dead. Don't touch the dead ones. Just fix up the two that are still alive as best you can."
The Nara reached around his belt to the utility pouch on his right side and unhooked it. He handed the item out towards Felix, "There's some bandages in here. I'm going to search the immediate area to make sure you don't get ambushed while you work. Sound good?"
((The next post for Felix should be for any response to Rhaim. Don't start working on the dogs yet.))

DB:12 Felix locked up, sort of watching Rhaim and wondering what in the world was going on... he was supposed to 'help' the dogs now..? But the mission said to kill them... But Felix kept his mouth shut... nodding gruffly and taking the bandages. "...That one too...?" He cocked his head over to the one he had knocked out... wondering if it needed something to stabilize it as well or not... Though his glance was definitely unsure toward Rhaim, wondering what the guy was thinking. "...Any... particular reason we are deciding to let them live?" He crouched down, scanning his pouch for a second before reaching out to grab it. "...Ill warn you, i've never bandaged anything before..." He half smiled faintly back up at Rhaim, shrugging haplessly. Great... Rhaim already probably thought of him as a failure for not having a rope before... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (rest +2hp/clan)

Rhaim slid both of hands back into their home of his pants pockets once Felix took the pouch from him. The teen followed the motion over towards the dog that the other boy had recently dealt with. He shook his head briefly, "No. That one should be fine."
The question as to why he was supposed to be aiding the animals was to be expected so Rhaim didn't change tone in any way, "We're supposed to get rid of them because they stole from our shinobi. As far as I can tell they only did it to help their own wounded. And the wounds look like they just tripped our traps. No need to ruin the ecosystem out here because of a misunderstanding."
Despite speaking in only a matter of fact style, the teen wasn't convinced that what he was doing would be seen as right. This seemed all too much like one of his first missions to put down some unruly monkeys. Though he had killed them then, in hindsight it probably was not needed. He shrugged at the last comment, "So? It's free medical care."
With that the Nara shot backwards and up into the trees surrounding the clearing. He didn't feel comfortable just standing in that area any longer without any security.
Treat Injury:
Large Dog DC: 60
Continue rolling until 60 is reached or Felix kills the animal. For every roll under a natural 6 the dog loses 1 HP. Once the dog loses 3 HP, it dies from malpractice.

Continue rolling until 30 is reached or Felix kills the animal. For every roll under a natural 6 the dog loses 1 HP. Once the dog loses 3 HP, it dies from malpractice.

DB:12 "...Alright.." Felix took the small package of medical supplies and glanced into it curiously. He glanced over to the small pack of dead and dying dogs tentatively and began edging their way. Of course, the idea that the one dog he had dealt with himself would be ok made Felix a little happier... but he could see another one like 'that', that needed help near the pack... and then a larger one, such as he had fought last night. Felix bent down to examine the bodies as he drew closer, and approached the smaller one first... giving the larger one as wide a berth as possible as he drew nearer. He still had bad feelings about last night.. and the idea of healing one of those dogs was not on his list of things he's always wanted to do. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Treat Injury: D20+0=

DB:12 "...Ok, so make sure we're not ambushed then." Felix smirked sarcastically... glancing off into the tree's where Rhaim had disappeared. He wondered what could possibly be out there in the forest that Rhaim would be worried about? ...If Rhaim was that worried about it, then what the hell was Felix doing in the forest... these kinds of thought made Felix 'extremely' nervous, and he began to imagine sounds from Dire Undead great Grizzly Bears, or Saber Tooth demon howlers of some sort... maybe more hell hounds if he was unlucky. The last though made Felix laugh faintly. He reached down softly prodding the smaller of the dogs and examining over its wound... it seemed to have a few broken bones... Its front right leg was broken for sure, and it had a gash there from which it was bleeding pretty badly. Felix pulled out a gauze pad and dabbed at it a little first, then took out his bandage and began wrapping it... he had 'seen' this done before at least, and knew that was the proper order, even if he had no idea what or how it worked. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Treat Injury: D20+18= 33 Smaller dog finished.

DB:12 Felix worked over the smaller dog until he was satisfied with the result... he was sure it was not the best of medical care, but Felix was quite satisfied that the pup would live. He was rather proud of this actually... healing creatures was much easier a decision than killing them, and it was not a difficult process... just one that took care. His hand passed over the matted and bloody fur of the smaller dog and he tested the area's with his fingers and feel, noting that there were no other main injuries than the one he had fixed up. "..Alright buddy, you'll be ok now." He nodded, actually smiling a little bit at the dog. His bandage about its arm looked kind of comical, sort of like a cast for the creature, giving it personality... in a similar way to how a squirrel wearing an eye-patch would have it. Felix then moved over to examine the bigger dog. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Treat Injury: D20+0=

DB:12 Felix crouched down beside the larger dog with a sigh, turning his head as he looked over its own various wounds. He was not even sure this one was alive anymore... he could smell its burnt fur and see the many places it was cut and bleeding from, though not so much blood was even coming out anymore. He scooted closer slowly... slowly reaching out his hand to touch it on the neck softly and wait for a pulse. It was there indeed, but it was ridiculously faint... the dog was fading fast, and Felix had half a mind to let it go. The bigger ones seemed more mean to him. But as he watched it his own conscious over came him and the dog was just too vulnerable lying there to let die... besides then there would be no one to look after the smaller dogs right? Felix reached up, wiping a bit of sweat from his forehead, built up from the tension of close proximity to this dog... he was still scared of it and that was a fact. He continued to look it over, assessing its wounds before deciding to actually go to work on them. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Treat Injury: D20+0=

DB:12 Felix licked his lips faintly, still nervous but finally built up the courage to reach forward and try to save this dog. He noted a few outstanding wounds in particular that needed attention. First of all there was a nasty gash on the neck of the dog, bleeding, but mostly just big... and then there was a large burned patch on the side of the dog laying up... there was no way Felix could tell what was under the dog, and he decided to cross that bridge when he came to it... he would patch up this side first, and hope that was the worst of it. Felix touched the head of the dog softly... lifting it a little to slide the bandage wrap underneath. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Treat Injury: D20+0=

DB:12 "...No, no no no no no... hush..." Felix whispered softly to the dog as when he touched its head the thing tried to snap at him... lifting its jaws almost pathetically and struggling a little. "...Wow... I'm surprised your even still able to move.. but you need to hold still right now.." Felix spoke in a calming manner to it, trying to get it to calm down... which seemed to actually work to his surprise... either that, or the creature just fell back into an unconscious state. Felix could only imagine how badly some of these wounds would be hurting right about now, and his own battle fatigue was long forgotten. He leaned forward a little, squinting at the injury on the neck and cleaned at it with the small pad for a couple of moments as gently as he could, trying to get the wound cleaned before he wrapped it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Treat Injury: D20+0=

DB:12 "...Alright.." Felix nodded, lifting his head a little to get a better look as he softly wrapped the bandage around the neck, tugging on it a little here and there, he actually had two bandages down, wrapped together to spread more easily over the neck area. He wrapped them around it multiple times and then tied them off... trying to make sure not to tug on them too harshly, because he did not want them pressing into the wound, just covering it... and he most certainly did not want them choking the thing. Felix tied it off with a small bow, then tucked the edges in to the actual bandage so that they would not stick out... Hopefully the dog would not wake up and then just try to struggle out of it. Felix then turned his attention to the large patch of burned fur... looking concerned over it. He scowled faintly and glanced through the small medical pouch, finally coming across another gauze pad. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Treat Injury: D20+0=

DB:12 Felix decided against trying to clean this wound... because it was a burn, chances were that it was already clean and he would probably just cause more damage doing so anyways... besides.. the Gauze pad seemed like it would be more effective taking the role of a buffer between the bandage and the actual burn. Felix had been burned a few times before... but just in minor ways... such as on a stove top, or a hot iron. And he 'knew' how much even those had hurt... so he took consideration for the dog in this. Felix stretched the pad out and lay it down flat on the burn wound, then wrapped the bandage over it... layering it thourougly like a pad and then tying it like a sling between the head and far back leg of the dog. Now finished, he stood up with a satisfied nod at the dog... it seemed stable in a sleep now, and it would live. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Treat Injury: D20+13+8+4+20+10= 70 Larger dog finished.

Picture: Age-18 -Mission Completed- Felix glanced about... well, that seemed a fitting end to mission then? He nodded, satisfied with his work... but still rather confused with the state of the forest. The creatures would work as hard as they could to take care of themselves he was certain. He was also impressed with the loyalty and determination demonstrated by something as small as the dog he had just fought. Felix smiled, kneeling down beside the dog as he passed it... the one that he liked. He felt bad about having to knock it unconscious... and he hoped no one would ever have to again. He kind of wanted to see what it would be like when it grew up... though he knew that was probably unlikely. Reaching out his hand, he stroked its fur softly, moving it to more of a restful position after a moment. He then stood, glancing down, then back one last time.
