That was an odd answer. "Why here? D-do you like singing? I-" Izumi rubbed her arm, nervously. Izumi liked to sing, to herself in the shower or the car, she couldn't imagine coming to a karaoke bar if she didn't.

If Frost had asked Xander, the teen would have told him that no mater what he wore he looked good but since he wasn't asked he was going to keep silent on it for now. He grinned at the ever so slight pout/annoyed look that Frost had as he walked into the karaoke bar. "Thank you." he changed his grin into a smaller smile for Frost holding the door open for him. Once inside he looked around and spotted a few familiar faces and many unknown ones. "Tell you what, after a few songs and a bit of socializing, if you want to leave I know a few restaurants around here that are open late, are quiet and have good food." he said when he looked back at his roommate.
He still planned on getting Frost to sing, no doubt about that but he would how ever, give him a quick way out if it got too much for his reserved friend. With that said he lightly brushed his hand against one of Frost's gloved hands then headed towards the small group of people he knew held some 'Rockets. Of course, he did make sure to angle in such a way that he avoided the bar.

Stepping inside behind Xander, Frost raised an eyebrow. "If I decide I have had enough I shall leave whether it be in a few hours or a few minutes," he replied in perfectly mild, totally neutral tones. "There is no need for you to accompany me if you wish to remain," he went on, "I would not wish to interrupt your socilizing." He wanted to leave now. He would stay for at least a while though, for at least a few songs no matter how grating they might be. The smell of drink. The chatter of voices. The crowds. He didn't want to be here.
Maintaining his air of cool confidence flawlessly - save for a slight twitch away when his companion touched him - Frost joined Xander by the nattering group he seemed to have selected to socilize with... Oh. Lovely. He had just spotted Izaya. He should have known that little worm would be here. Turning away from the red-eyed young man, Frost gave a polite nod to the little crowd they had joined/were joining. He didn't really know what to do beyond that, the noise and the music made a hundred different plesantaries swirl around in his mind and left him with no idea which one would fit best. Keep silent for now then. Respond when spoken to. Remain cool and collected. He didn't want to be here. Why had he agreed to come here? He wanted to go home.

Faleen was in the process of telling Nyx about the mechanical arm that she had seen, and how it was able to connect with the girls arm to allow her to move it. Since meeting Nyx the idea of bio mechanical science was more and more fascinating to her, even if she could only provide the mechanical part.
With a sideways glance though she saw two familiar grunts passing their table. "Alexander, Frost" She said, rising to her feet.

Despite the quiet, dangerous tone of the short, teenage girl, Izaya raised his index finger from his grip on the microphone to wag at her scoldingly. No interrupting a singer at a karaoke bar. It was just plain rude! If he had three seconds, though, he planned to make the most of them.
"~ ♪ I'm here, soba ni iru kara Call me, boku ga iru kara Trust me, mou nani mo osorenaide My dear, mienai ito de Trust me, tsunagatte iru kara Tada kanjite ite, kono nukumori ♫ ~"
As he sang into the mic in his left hand, his right moved from Aila's back to her own hand, catching it lightly and holding it up over her head in an attempt to get her to twirl. If she did so, he would spin her away from him, at which point the three seconds would likely be up and he would have fulfilled her demand. That didn't keep him from continuing to serenade to her, however.
"~ ♪ Dore hodo no kanashimi kimi wa kakushiteta no? Dore hodo no omoi wo mune ni tojikomete kita no? Itami to hikikae ni te ni ireta tsuyosa wo itsuka yasashisa e kimi wa kaete yukeru hazu ♫ ~"
Gesturing dramatically, the trainee continued his performance, apparently unhindered by the crowd of people who were his audience. He cast Aila a theatrically disarming smile before slipping through the crowd, using the whole bar as his stage. At one point, the enthusiastic man leapt up onto a table in the manner he used for parkour, as if showing off further. It was hard to tell whether he was drunk off the blue martini he had consumed or if he was simply acting on his own arrogant, playful whims.
"~ ♪ With me, mou hanarenaide Give me, kokoro wo hiraite Feel me, subete wo tsutaete Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
With me, kotoba wa iranai Give me, mitsumeaeba ii Feel me, subete wo azukete Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah ♫ ~"
Away from Aila and out of danger. For now. Kicking off a wall, Izaya finished as he hopped from the table to the top of a booth to the ground, bowing and laughing before coming up to the nearest Rocket. Whether or not Orihara had intended for said Rocket to be Xander was anyone's guess, but he greeted him gleefully just the same, patting the tall shoulder. "Xander! I'm so glad you came. Oh, and you brought a date."
He cast Frost a brief smile, knowing full well he would get nothing of the sort in return. "Just in time! Do you like to sing?" He thrust his microphone towards the younger blonde's chest. "I hope you know this one. It's one of my favorites~" Behind his back, he pressed the button on the small laptop so the intro for the next song could begin.

At least a portion of her scathing glare was due to the intense scrutiny with which she regarded him, internalizing every detail. Seth asked for regular reports. She intended to be quite frank in this one.
As his hand moved to hers, she deftly jerked her own away, ideally catching his hand in a backhanded smack as she did so. Despite the obvious anger darkening her eyes, her movements remained calculated and fluid; she was trained to work best under pressure. This taken care of, she backed away a half a step, studying the trainee as she considered her options in apprehending and/or immobilizing him. Thunder Wave, perhaps. String Shot or Constrict. Hammer Arm.
More disarming than Izaya's smile was the sudden realization that the last time she had been so seethingly angry, someone had died as a result. Fury was replaced by a fleeting, though visible, expression that was quite obviously upset, though whether this was in response to Izaya's behavior or the memories attached to her realization was anyone's guess - though it easily could have been a combination of the two. Rejecting the outward display of emotion with an expression that was more restrained, a vague sigh of disappointment was her only further response before she moved to seat herself at the earlier offered table, regardless of whether or not Nyx disliked her. She needed to relax before she did something regrettable. Aila wasn't an angry person, but she struggled with the emotion when it arose within her, rarely as it did.

Inigo listened to Izumi and Jerome talk, then noticed another pair enter the bar and Faleen stand to greet them. Huh, must be coworkers too, though he had yet to met them or even see them. He really needed to be more out-going... And now Izaya was trying to.. twirl Aila? He frowned slightly at how angry and upset she looked, though the idea that she was upset for any reason besides Izaya's behavior didn't cross her mind.
He offered Izumi and Jerome a polite "hasta luego" before departing for the table Faleen had originally invited him to and sat down near Aila and Faleen. He watched as Izaya handed off the microphone to some other poor soul before turning to the small agent near him, a look of mild concern obvious on his face. "You okay?" He asked, tilting his head slightly. For some reason he subconsciously felt that her current anger and upset were his fault. She only consented to stay because of him, after all.

Jerome raised a hand when the kid that was with them took his leave, glancing over to see that the girl he had been watching was angry about something, and storming away from Izaya. Jerome snorted at this, "Damn, Furs don't seem like he's very good with the ladies" Not that Jerome could say he's any better.
Turning back to Izumi, he shrugged lightly "not really, ain't my thing, should be me with a guitar though." To bad his was stolen from the apartment when he had gone back to get it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
More of a group was gathering at the table, Aila and Inigo returned. "You certainly don't look like this if your idea of a fun time Aila." Faleen comment, politely, noting the other Agents anger. Inigo seemed to as well, since he had come over and asked if she was okay.
Faleen glanced up at Izaya for a second, before returning her attention to dressed up young lady. He the one who had seemed to piss her off, She wonder what happened.
"Oh. That's too bad..." Izumi took a sip of her new drink, "I-I don't think they have guitar bars..." That would have been interesting to see, though.
"S-so... Do you know t-that guy?" She inclined her head towards Izaya. "E-everyone seems to know each other..." That blond woman had just walked up and addressed the man in the fur jacket by a strange name, Inigo seemed to know Faleen and Jerome and Nakura, and most of the crowd had shown up around the same time. A party maybe?
"I'm fine," she dismissed absently, though how true that was stood to be decided. She was tired, personally offended, and teetering on the edge of any number of unsavory emotions. Outwardly, she maintained a calm, if not immensely weary, appearance, her forehead resting against her palm. Faleen's words brought a slight bitterness to her reply, "I ask you to find me one person in the world who thinks it's fun to be deceived, manipulated, and treated with such blatant condescension." A quiet sigh eased away the building irritation before it could take root once more.
Lilith yelped in surprise as Lennyka took hold of her now bruised wrist and yanked her fully into the bar. She gritted her teeth with annoyance and the pain of her bruises being gripped so tightly. Finally, Lilith managed to retrieve her wounded appendage and proceeded to rub it gingerly. Looking behind her towards the entrance, she caught a glimpse of Sorano and an uncertain look about him. Lilith frowned a bit as she turned back to him. "Hey... Are you okay?" In a weak little attempt to alleviate the gloomy air, Lilith gave a small chuckle and lightly punched Sorano in the arm. "C'mon, it surely can't be that bad, right?"
Unfortunately, Lilith wasn't particularly feeling like practicing what she was preaching, for she was quite anxious to get out of the bar as quickly as possible. It soon dawned on her, though, that escape was nigh on impossible, and so she resigned herself to her fate, walking a bit further into the bar. After another quick glance around her, Lilith determined only a few faces she could actually recognize... One of them belonging to a very familiar, if not stern-faced man. Surprise lit up Lilith's eyes as she quickly made her way over to him and patted his shoulder lightly to gain his attention.
"Hey, Frost, is that you?"
More people were touching him - the small man jerked from the contact away and spun around to face his aggressor - why were so many people touching him tonight?... Oh. Lilith. She was not an aggressor, but that didn't mean he wanted her to touch him. Too many people too close. Frost brushed an imaginary speck off dust off his shoulder, the only concession he made to his internal discomfort. "Indeed it is," he nodded to the green-eyed young woman, "I was persuaded to come by my roommate," he nodded then to Xander before turning back to Lilith. "Did you come of your own free will, or were you persuaded as well?"
He wanted to leave. Izaya had finished singing and had passed the microphone onto Xander. He didn't care to hear his roommate sing. He just wanted to go. He felt as though all the noise, people, and smells were pressing in and crawling over his skin leaving dirty trails that it would take a very long shower to wash away. He didn't show it though; the ice specialist remained as inscrutable as ever, his cool mask impenetrable even to those who knew him best. It had to be. If it wasn't, then he wasn't in control of himself and if he wasn't in control of himself he couldn't cope. Cool. Calm. Unreadable. It wouldn't be for too long. He had been in more unpleasant situations. He would be fine.
"Of course I would accompany you, if you still wanted company that is. After all it's my fault you came in the first place." Xander told Frost with an apologetic smile. He then turned to Faleen and grinned at her. "Hello Faleen. Anything interesting so far?" he asked. Maybe she would be able to distract Frost a bit with some mechanical talk?
Before he could say anything else, Nakura gave him the microphone. Xander blinked in surprise when the song started off and he gave the other man an amused look. "Just so you know I'm not dancing to it." he said after pointing the microphone away from his mouth briefly so his voice wouldn't come over the speakers just yet. He spotted Frost talking to Lilith just before he was supposed to sing and he gave a quiet chuckle. He might have to smack Nakura for that even if it was unintentional. Oh well. He leaned up against a nearby booth as he started to sing, luckily having known the words and actually having a nice voice to go with it.
Pleased that Xander had stepped up to the challenge, Nakura laughed and clapped. "No dancing? What a shame! I was so looking forward to seeing you and your partner attempt a tango. Ah, well; it's enough of a treat to hear you sing."
Backing up, Izaya collapsed onto an empty bench where he could sit by himself while observing the proceedings. The atmosphere was so lively! So much was going on. It was the perfect place to be a spectator and witness the multiple facets of human behavior. The best part was he didn't have to be involved to do so. Not being involved meant not risking endangerment by Aila or Frost or anyone else he had a gut-feeling to avoid.
Sure, they didn't seem to be too happy with their current situations, but Orihara felt confident they would loosen up after some time. They had their companions to pacify, console, and comfort them, after all. Kicking back to the sound of Xander's splendid singing, Izaya ordered another drink - this time just some plain, hot jasmine tea - and watched his fellow Rockets with a satisfied smirk. Life was good.
"Are you sure?" He asked, his brows knitted in concern. She didn't look nor sound find. Briefly he considered reminding her of when he told her nothing was wrong and she was upset with that answer, but figured it probably wouldn't be well received, so he held his tongue instead. At least he could possibly be considered a mildly comforting presence if nothing else. Maybe. Possibly.
He turned to study the growing number of people, especially the pair that Faleen had greeted. Frost and.. Alexander, was it? Something like that. And oh, a brown haired girl as well, though he had yet to hear her name. They seemed busy talking - well, one was busy singing - and he didn't want to interrupt, so he remained where he sat for the time being.
