"So, uhm... okay then. No clubs or anything, so... hotel or something, then? I'm pretty sure there's one around..." and so he started sniffing the air, trying to detect a scent that could lead them. But it was night and the city was quiet, so that was useless.
"Dammit. I wish I had a map..."

"I...uh...yeah. Unless you want to try walking to New York." she replied, then paused for a moment. No, that wouldn't be good. Not as hurt as he'd gotten earlier. "We could walk until we find one." she suggested. Rooftops usually help to get a good look at a city scape."

"Sure, okay... Rooftops. I can manage that..." Lucas said, before getting a running start and jumping up onto the top of a two-story building. Despite how tired he felt mentally, his body was still, and always would be (barring wounds or poison from Carbonadium or similar substances) in constant peak physical condition. This not only allowed him to perform various extensive physical feats without gaining any fatigue for hours on end, but it also allowed him to be functionally immortal, staying in his physical prime indefinitely.

Alex watched him with wide eyes. Wow. Okay...so he was perfectly fine apparenty. His healing abilities must have been off the charts. People on her team had healing abilities and all...but they were usually out for the rest of the day after a battle like what Paragon went through. Heck, Sapphire could stitch herself up and keep on going, but she'd pass out that night completely.
With a smile...and a blush still on her face...Alex extended her claws and chased after him.

Lucas stopped and looked to Alex. "Oh no! She's got her claws out, whatever shall I do?" he asked in a mock helpless voice, before leaping away and onto another rooftop, grinning a bit to himself.

Alex smirked as she scaled up the side of the building, flipping over the edge as she finally reached the rooftop. ”You better be afraid.” she said as she crouched down and sprinted across the rooftop. She leaped up as she came to the edge of it and flipped in the air. She had a blast doing this with Batman, why not do it again. Wasn’t showing off if she was doing it just for fun, right?

Lucas let out a laugh. "The docs said my max speed is 60 MPH. I betcha you can't go nearly as fast!" he said, jumping onto another rooftop smoothly and then down into an alley... then up onto another roof just as smoothly.

Alex's grin fell some. 60? No...she couldn't match. Not even when she was angry. Think she topped...50 once? And she was mad that day.
Well...that was alright. Rooftop was one of the only means of travel she had back home. She knew how to make her way around a city with ease.
Regaining her grin, she sprinted harder across the rooftops. Bouncing and flipping from building to building with skilled parkour.

Lucas' own grin fell a bit. Damn, she can move... look at that body of hers... he thought to himself, finally stopping.
"Okay okay, you proved your point. You can out-prance me." he said, smiling.

Alex made another flip, landing a few feet away from Lucas, a full grin on her face again. "I'm sorry...was I showing off?"

Normally she'd suggest a race instead. But there was no way she was doing that if he could out-run her.

Alex's smile fell when she spotted the hotel. With a great deal less enthusiasm, she hopped down off of the rooftop and landed in a crouch.
Alright...fun's over. Ugh, why did she feel like this had 'bad idea' written all over it? It...it shouldn't. I mean, it's not like there was only going to be one room available or anything like that. They could get seperate rooms, and they WOULD get seperate rooms. There was nothing...nothing was going to happen. Period. Just get something to eat, get cleaned up, get a good night's sleep, and head off again in the morning.
With a bit of a sigh, she stood back up and made her way after Paragon for the hotel.

Lucas walked into the hotel and into the lobby, with Alex beside him. He dinged the little bell a few times, and a young man approached the two.
"Jesus, it's midnight!" the man said, irritated. Lucas just shrugged. "Sorry, we just need a place to stay for the night," the young hero said. Grumbling, the man went over to a computer terminal and started checking for available rooms.
"Okay... There's a room up on the fourth floor that's available, but it's all we got. You guys are lucky, too-- Five-star amenities. It'll cost about $500. One bed, a shower, and a TV with cable, too."
Lucas looked to Alex, shrugged, and pulled out his wallet, picking out five hundred-dollar bills ("What can I say? My parents are loaded!" he said as the receptionist nearly fainted), and handed it to the guy, who directed them to an elevator to take them to their room.
