"Oh. That would be great!" Tomoko chimed, offering the bandages out to Rosc gratefully. If someone knew what they were doing then it was better for them to handle any dressings. With that handled, Tomoko closed the First Aid kit again and hugged it to her chest, looking at Grey to see if he had any idea of what it was he wanted to do.

Honestly, she was going to go with Jove, even if the explosives didn't tickle her fancy. She had enough to her little rebellions and all they'd gotten for her curiosities was some bandages and some creeper harassing them with bad breath. Though they'd run away. It was very.... yeah. She wanted to avoid any future creepings.

Once the wrapping was finished up, the kitsune popped up to her feet to tag along at Jove's tail. Maybe where they were going, they'd run into their group again. Being separated wasn't that great anymore.

Aurian frowned and moved to block Raziel's path. "Shouldn't this be a group decision, instead of just one person doing what they want?" she asked archly. "There's no point in calling ourselves a group if we're always running after the first person to run off on their own!"

Raziel hadn't bothered to ask, and despite two others having spoken up for Admin, he was running off before even eating what the others thought they should do.

"I think it should be up to a vote. All of our lives are at risk so we should all get a say. No one elected you leader, Raziel."

(( Instructions said two sets of keys, one in each location. You also have to wait for the next prompt before moving on. Gym and Admin might not even be an option for our group yet. ))

Stage 2 results
After searching (and destroying) a good portion of the school, you've found the administration office impenetrable, and yourselves back in front of the gym doors. The demolitions group came out looking a bit singed around the edges, but no one's on fire or has lost any limbs. Looks like a little caution goes a long way! Unfortunately, the lockers weren't the only areas that were booby trapped, and whoever hid the keys in the wall had a mean streak. The toxic gas was immediately noticeable, but by the time they went back outside, students were coughing and walking funny. The only lucky aspect was that the gas had so afr only caused nausea and dizziness, so nobody died from it. Yet.

- explosives: your clothes may not thank you, but you only lost 1 hp
- classrooms: you've lost 3hp but gained a healthy respect for CONSTANT VIGILANCE
- no choice: -4 hp

Stage 3 start

So here you are. Two sets of keys. One lock. The odds are definitely in your favour. You try one key after the other, and it takes awhile, but one finally slides home. And fails to turn. In the end, none of the keys work. You're tempted to go find a table to flip, but suddenly, above you, you hear hear something. Laughter. Or rather, the hysterical cackle of one fairly insane individual. Looking up you see...

Bul was almost certain that following the majority of the others was a good idea. Once more, he chose wrong- he just didn't know it yet. Upon catching up with West and Savior and them Bul tagged close behind trying not to be in the way. It wouldn't matter though as they walked into a most devious trap.

Lightheaded at first then suddenly finding it hard to stand, let alone breathe, Bul practically collapsed against a wall. Shakily he held a hand to his mouth and tried to hold back throwing up. It was hard to even make himself want to throw up he was rendered stupidly weak. The boil's tail curled around his legs and he shut his eyes. Doing whatever he could to escape the noxious gas, Bul struggled and crawled his way back to the gymnasium entrance.

He wasn't even sure anymore who was with him- he thought he saw bodies but they were blurry- and there were clearly doubles of everyone. "Guys... I don't feel so good..." he moaned in practically a whisper before finally his rump met the ground and he rolled his head back to the wall.

Bul hardly moved when the cackle echoed around them. His head may have turned in the general direction but for the most part he felt it get too heavy to keep up and hung there droopingly. "Its... not..... that funny...." he muttered to the voice.

Hanging back for the mean time, she waited in the door way, away from the group of students for the time being. Even if it was a smaller group, she was not one for crowds. Watching them, she felt a sudden, yet familiar feeling. Covering her mouth with her hand, she made a break for the hallway in attempts to escape whatever it was that was making her ill.

"Gas?"

Almost chocking on her words, she braced herself against the wall with her free hand. She hated this place, this was the worst! Just what was the professors thinking when they sent them here? Why was she even bothering to cover her mouth anyways? With all the cracks in her body, the gas still managed to effect her. Great! Just great!

When this was all over and done with, she felt the strong need to complain to the amityville faculty---if she got back. The jury was still out on this..

Head snapping up at attention, she took a quick look about the students, hoping that one of them were in hysterics over the current events. Obviously none of them were in a laughing mood, so her question now was; who is it that was laughing? "S-s**t.. Who--?" Cautious, she looked up..

To say that Aurian was disappointed when nothing could open the Adminstration door was an understatement. A fair portion of embarrassment accompanied the disappointment, her cheeks dusted with pink as the keys failed. Though if anyone commented, she was blaming the flush on the gas.

"At least we tried," she said as they stumbled off to the gym. Progress was slow, Aurian still woozy from the gas released in the classrooms. She felt slightly better when the keys also failed to open the gym doors. She hadn't been the only one wrong. Though that left the question of what the keys were for. It must be something important to have required a booby trap.

When the laughter began, Aurian assumed the gas was having side effects, or that the voices from the mist had returned. Those theories were thrown out the window as other students remarked on it.

"Who's there?" she said loudly. She whipped her head around. 'Big mistake,' she thought as her head rang in protest. "Who - or what - are you? Were you a student? A participant in this 'game'?"

Was this the person out to take the 'blood price' mentioned on one of the notes?

Crash! Bits of concrete and glass went falling all directions as someone - or something - dropped from the ceiling, falling onto the ground with an ungainly thud. For a second, they lay on the ground, entirely motionless.

"I HAVE IT!" The screech pierced the sudden silence as the figure jolted back onto its feet, pulling up one slightly-bloodstained hand. A hand with a key. A very bloody, brass, and bent key - how in Jack's name was that supposed to even fit in any sort of lock?

If the figure's hood could reveal its crazed eyes, it would have been absolutely ecstatic with glee as it hopped around like a magpie, just slightly out of range of students. "I got it, but the question is, can you have it?"

It dangled the bloodied object in front of the students before suddenly snatching it back with its other hand. " No- wait, I must test you... yes, a test. But oh, that's really confusing I mean they already fought me and it was kind of worthless and - " it stopped babbling and straightened itself - "Yes! I got it! Guess the answer, just one correct answer from any of you lot, to the riddle and I will give you the key, yes, give you directly the key."

"With my ebony miasma, I carry upon me a measuring device, though it is not for currency. Who am I?"

Ignoring all further responses from Seiji and Junko Sarias peered over at Mei and Bul, the monster was on his last legs, Mei was doing the 'friendly' thing of seeing him safe. Sarias chose a different route.

"Hey, Bul, wait up! Your in no fit state to be walking off like that, your going to hold us all back."
She stopped for a second as she pondered a new plan. She peered down at her rusty pipe and patted it slightly on her leg. One heavy blow to the head would put him out of his misery, no point in carrying dead weight and all that. " If you just hold still i have the solution!" She exclaimed almost gleefully as she walked towards him, shivering every now and then in disgust as more bugs escaped her way.

But her fun was quickly diminished as she saw how bad he really looked. "Jeez, you look like s**t...want a...hand or something?" Although Mei would be the one to help him anyway she felt she had to at least offer...she could knock him out later, rest was always good in what ever form it came in!

"If you just..if..you..eww...uhh what is that smell? Eww *cough* *cough* did you...did you let one go!" She glared at Mei beside her, the closest Being to her as she made her way to Bul. Her face twisted in disgust and further coughing fits until her legs finally gave way.

"Uhh that is..haha, that is so gross! Haha!" This wasn't funny, this was no laughing matter, but she couldn't help it. The gas was seeping into her pores and all she wanted to do was giggle. Her legs felt weak as well as her stomach muscles, she had already vomited once...maybe twice today, there wouldn't be a third!

But what was a little sick compared to a raving lunatic you say? Nothing. And thoughts of spilling her guts left Sarias as she watched with amusement the hooded figure making a mess of the place with his entrance. His erratic behaviour and bold statements of riddles and keys left her mind swimming as she fought to eliminate the toxic gas effects.

"What are you talking about you loon! Just give us the dam key before i introduce my pipe down your throat!" Her words were lost in the mists of discussion. Hey threats were her friends, but right now she needed more breathing allies to help.

"Ebony...doesnt that mean black?"

Aurian whipped out her metal pipe as the cloaked figure leapt in front of them. Brandishing it in front of her, she clearly expected an attack. But the creature changed its mind and instead gave them a riddle. Aurian lowered her weapon slowly til that arm hung by her side. She didn't tuck the weapon away, though, just in case.

She nodded quickly to the girl who'd spoken first. "Yes, it does. And miasma is usually a gas or something noxious..." Aurian perked up as certain facts lined up in her mind. "Like the fog, or the gas booby trap up in the West wing classroom where we found the key! Does anyone remember something to do with measuring in that classroom or out in the fog?"

West squinted and coughed in reaction to the gas pouring out of room 102 into the hall. Great. He stumbled off toward the gym, not really caring who he followed at this point, and was just about to comment on the weird laughter when...

Okay. Hadn't they fought with this guy on the beach? At first the demon didn't comment as he staved off nausea and listened to the other students chatter around him. That one boil looked pretty close to passing out, but short of carrying him (which he was totally not up for today, thanks) there was little West could do to help. It appeared he already had assistance anyway.

He smirked at Sarias' words, dimly recalling that he'd seen at least one other outburst of a similar caliber from the ghoul, although he still didn't know her name. Someone to watch, definitely.

After a few moments more, he offered, "There wasa calc'culat'r onna poster in th'room with th'keys?" in response to Aurian's audible brainstorming. It was the only thing even remotely close to a measuring device he could recall at first, until he suddenly came to the conclusion that it had likely been a math classroom. It wasn't his fault that the smudgy remains of that questionably decent picture on the blackboard had been more interesting than what type of room it was. "A ruler, maybe?"

Black gassy rulers? The demon wracked his brain for any sort of legends or authority figures that had to do with such things, but he quickly came up empty. He noted the figure taunting them seemed to have a tail of some sort. Was it a horse? Nah, probably not.

The infirmary was an absolute bust, and a wonderful waste of time. Brow buried against the palm of his clawed hand, the boil missed the immediate appearance of the other ghost as she entered the room, glancing up only as she spoke right beside him. Damn near startling him. And walked the tips of sharp nails along the line of his bare shoulder. "Sarias." He snorted softly, but smiled all the same, eyes narrowing on the banshee ever so slightly. She looked relatively whole and unharmed, though just as worn as the rest of them. Still, he was glad to see she was alright.

"There's nothing in here," he huffed at her in response, dark eyes sliding off to his side to glower at the empty cabinets. All further comments from the ghost went relatively unheard from that point on however as something strange and alarming caught the Jikininki's attention. Had the walls always been black? And.. moving? "The walls.." His voice was soft and unsure and probably went unnoticed.

Of course being aware of the impending onslaught didn't make him any more prepared when the black wall turned out to be insects and began swarming all over them. He had enough time to grab Junko and pull her against his chest, pressing a hand to the back of her head to protect her face from the writhing mass of winged creepy crawlies that were literally crawling everywhere on them.

Now the bugs themselves didn't do a whole lot to the ghost, but She didn't like him much, and as the swarm faded away from them She delivered a rather fierce bite to the hand he'd had pressed against Her. He of course jerked back, cradling the bleeding thing in his claw. "Jack damnit, I was protecting her you crazy mouth!" Ya, since when did rational thinking work on the mistress?

-2

And then distracted by the steady drip of crimson from the side of his hand as well as picking bugs from his and Junko's hair and bodies, he allowed them to be lead around by Bul, Mei and Sarias as they went about exploring the place, but Neither the ghost nor the ghoul gave much input to the group for a while.

Not until the boil managed to suck in a lung full of noxious gas and doubled over hacking. Hell, he didn't even HAVE to breath, it was habit, and here he went breathing in poison, of all things. Well played, Seiji. Pressing hand to his mouth he staggered against a wall as the world around them began to tilt. Releasing Junko so he wouldn't pull her down with him. What the jack!

"Cover your mouth's guys! The gas.." Another round of sound hacking interrupted his warning. "Don't breath it in!"

Sin had used her explosives on the supply closet in the hopes of finding actual useful supplies. Instead she had singed her fingers and had somekind of door shrapnel chucked at her. Luckily the explosives hadn't been that forceful and she had picked out a few tiny slivers of metal with ease. It stung a bit but it wasn't anything to cry over. She was annoyed not to find anything in the supply closet, supply wise, but she was happy to find the gum. She quickly popped a piece into her mouth and felt her stomach settle a little.

She pocketed the gum to offer Rosc and Alcie and then headed towards the gym where it seemed most of the students were gathering. Oh they had keys that was great! Until...the keys failed and the ominous figure re-appeared.

He was totally batty, nuts, a loon! He was also giving them a riddle, so Sin tried to pay attention. She cringed to think of what this guy would do to them if they failed his little riddle. First she decided to dissect the language in her head. Okay ebony meant black...which could be many things. Miasma...she grinned as she remembered her mother grilling her on vocabulary, miasma was like poison a foreboding death cloud of sorts. So a Black Death...well if the answer to the riddle was somekind of reaper then that made sense...somewhat. Maybe this guy wasn't crazy...and then the measuring device...not for currency...what measuring device could be used for more then simple currency?

She listened as the others mentioned things rulers, calculators, thermometers...hmm a measuring device. She turned to Rosc her eyes wide...scales...scales were used to measure things by weight and not just currency but other things. She had a sudden image in her mind, she could see this figure perfectly in her head...but she had no idea what he was called. An old illustration in a book long ago found in her fathers study...a gaunt figure on a tall black horse with scales in his hand as he brought starvation and deprivation to humanity with his three companions. Sin was pretty starved herself right now.

"Rosc..." She lowered her voice to a whisper afraid if she spoke out loud the crazy reaper would notice her. She leaned in closer towards him and frowned. "Rosc I think I know who it is...but..I don't know what he's called..." She felt incredibly foolish for not having read the caption below the picture now.

When Raziel had been blocked by the other ghoul, the gas had already begun to take it's effects on him. He was in no way pleased to have her screech at him, and his eyebrows furrowed together before he shook his head. He stopped shaking his head after not too long, it was just making the ill feelings of the gas worse on him. "Two people isn't a group either," he grumbled.

Somehow, they had managed to make the decision to try the administration first, the gas must have put Raziel so off that he couldn't really make an effort to resist. When none of the keys worked on the door, he had a smug sense of satisfaction that the other ghoul had just wasted their time for nothing. His eyes narrowed and he had a vicious grin on his face. Oh, he would never forget this.

Of course, when the gym doors didn't open either, Raziel was disappointed. Why bother having set of "spare" keys if they don't open any doors? Before they had too long to ponder on the problem at hand, cackling laughter came from above, followed by a loud CRASH! Once the small amount of dust settled, the figure that they had battled earlier on the beach was there. Him again? Raziel was starting to get tired of this guy, he was halfway into making a running leap at him to attack when the figure told them they had to solve a riddle to get his bloody key. Who's blood was on the key?

Thinking out loud, Raziel offered some other devices for measurement, "Scales are used for weight," he paused, "Thermometers were for temperature, and rulers for length..." he trailed off, trying to think of how a black ominous cloud could have anything to do with those things. Suddenly a light went off in his head. As a little child, his mother had told him fantastic stories of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, these had been Raziel's favorites because they were so intricate and detailed. "What if it has something to do with the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse?" Raziel asked the general group, "One of them carried scales and rode a black horse." It probably wasn't entirely obvious if he was thinking with the ill effects of the gas or not, his suggestion did seem like a bit of a stretch after all.

Sin blinked and turned at Raziels words, four horsemen? YES! Yes that had to be it! If so then that mean this particular riddle's answer was...

"You're Famine!" Upon realizing she had practically yelled at the thing...and even had her finger pointed at it she slowly lowered her hand. She frowned and pursed her lips as well afraid that if she was mistaken she might have just brought down who knew what kind of horror on the group. Hopefully she was right and the dumb reaper would drop the key.

Rosc had been a little too close to the explosions when they had opened the supply closet. It didn't hurt much, but it was a little more hot than he'd expected it to be.

Glancing back to his little group and the two smaller students, Rosc moved in the direction of the crash, turning a corner to see a number of the other students outside of Gym, and the reaper who had attacked them at the fork in the paths and who had menaced the two smaller students. But... he wasn't attacking. He was telling them to solve a riddle.
Mad didn't begin to cover this guy.

Ebony miasma... A black cloud? No... miasma wasn't just a cloud, it was dangerous. Pollution... A disease... Some of the other students were focusing on the measuring device and were saying pretty much anything that would have come to his mind. Scales, but those were usually used to weigh out money or something else that would be considered currency. Unless he meant that whomever he was thinking of had scales but wasn't using them for the intended purpose...

Sin whispered his name, he turned his attention to her, dipping his head slightly so that he could hear her whisper.
"Try describing him?"

Just as he said that, another student must have triggered Sin's memory, because she blurted out an answer, causing him to jerk is head back and stick a finger in one pointed ear.
