Jett sat down on the counter behind Klaus and silently watched him prepare food. He didn't think he had seen Klaus this happy since....welll he didn't think he had seen Klaus this happy before.

Klaus finished preparing the food, and made the finishing touches. He wiped his brow since the heat from the boiling pot was intense. He seved the pasta concoction into two dishes and set them onto the table. "It's ready~!" He said, happily.

Jett slipped down from the counter and followed him over to the table where he sat down and immediately began digging into the pasta. "Its very good," He commented a few minutes later,"Thanks." With his metabolism he would have aten the noodles raw though. Just one of the perks of shifting. He internally rolled his eyes at this. Perks? How about NOT.

Klaus smiled and kissed Jett's cheek lightly. "You're welcome~!" He said happily. He spun around and began to clean up after dinner. It wasn't a big mess. He hummed as he worked. Today was such a great day~! He was in a wonderful mood~! As if nothing could bring him down~! He blinked and looked up to see his ears exposed again. He pouted. It happened occasionally if his emotions were unstable. He guessed he was too happy!

He watched Klaus with a tender smile. "You're a very good chef," he murmured,"Thanks." Then he shifted to cat form and hopped down from the chair with a purr.

Klaus looked to Jett and blushed a bit. "Thanks!" He said and blushed a bit. He stretched his arms and sat down on his bed. A sherbert sunset washed over the horizon, letting golden orange light pool into the room. Klaus sighed. He rummaged through his duffel bag and took out a small sketchbook and began to doodle a bit. He always did so when he wanted to think. His ears flopped down and hung from his sides, as if they were tired.

Jett hopped up next to Klaus and shifted back to human. Then he lightly cupped Klaus' cheeks with the palms of his hands. "I love you," he whispered and kissed Klaus tenderly,"You okay?"

Klaus's face burned a bright red. "I'm okay." He whispered softly. He rested his forehead on Jett's. "I love you too." He said so quietly, a pin drop could have muffled it.

Jett smiled slightly in response but inside he wasn't so certain. Why was Klaus so quiet? He kissed Klaus' forehead as he gently rubbed his back. Then he moved backwards away from Klaus and looked over at the window thoughtfully.

Klaus looked down at his drawing book, back to the waning sunset and to Jett. Jett's eyes glistened back to him. Klaus smiled a bit. "Ever get that feeling that there's more to life than what you're living?" He asked quietly.

"I suppose I do," Jett replied quietly, shifting on the bed to hide his expression,"Not very much." He shrugged and looked up out the window. If only Klaus knew the joys of shifting. Then they could fly together as birds or run through the forest as wolves...or anything really. Animals had it so much better than this.

Klaus looked to Jett and then back to the scenery out of the window. He felt like a bird almost. Privleged with a nice life and is fed and taken care of, yet you feel the need to go out and fly once more. Klaus shook his head. Such dreams he had...

Jett watched Klaus look out the window and frowned. "I can help you with that," he murmured, touching Klaus' cheek,"If you want to." He smiled slightly and motioned out towards the window.

Klaus smiled and held Jett's hand. "I'll be find... I'm just in the clouds too much." He said with a smile. "You don't have to worry about me!" He assured Jett.

"Alright..." Jett sang,"Whatever you say!" He laughed quietly and then bent down to kiss Klaus. He hugged Klaus before he sat down on the couch to look out the window.
