Aphrodite frowned, twisting her hands as she watched him. She felt... odd. Almost sorry for Deimos, but somehow that feeling of speaking her mind made her feel good... really good. The source of her inner turmoil was that he was the first and only person she had ever known to tell her the most insensitive thing. She was too small.
That fact had never stopped her before, her mother would only point that fact out if she was obviously in danger... But to play? With her friends? To be something she could use her abilities to her advantage. No. She was too small in his eyes.
And that was the most painful thing of them all.
"...If you say so." Her tone was clear, her yellow eyes continued to watch her friend. "I'm sorry about what I said. It was immature." That was true. "... And it was rude of me to bring it up like that infront of everyone else... but I want to tell you that it hurt.. alot when you told me I was too small to be on your crew. I .. just wanted to be apart of the action. I felt, useless and.. I wasn't about to become a trophy for your shoulder! I'll always be Smalls." She balled her fists, as she hovered in midair. Then she was too young to think of these things, but now her mind and body had matured.... maybe a little.
She wasn't crying, her face was relaxed, her eyes were determined. "I didn't say anything before... because I just wanted to forget about it. I just wanted to forgive you, but it still hurt..." She frowned, her hands now behind her back, but her eyes were still fixated on the demon-mishap.

Deimos listened to her and he, deep down, couldn't uinderstand at all why she was so upset. He gave a small shrug.. "I was just trying to keep you safe is all.." He said, as if he hadn't really done anything wrong. "I wanted you in my crew, but I don't want you hurt.. How am I supposed to pick an in between, damnit?" He said, keeping his features turned from her but his tail shished in anger.. How was he supposed to do both things at once with her?

'He's a bit dim, but his haert's in the right place.' A voice rang out in her head, one that was quiet for a long time.
'You think so?' She bit her lip, unsure of what to say. Processing his words in her mind.
' Honestly, I think it's as good as it's gonna get.'
"Dei... I didn't know that." She sighed flying above him and then upside down infront of him. " I can tell Leo that, I want to be with you guys... I can still be safe." She smiled. "It's simple... I can be the crows nest, or the ship's doctor. I'm not very good at navigating, but I know loads about pirates.. and I really would like to be with you guys."

Deimos stiffled a chuckle as Aphrodite's hair flopped in front of him as he flew upside down.. He thought and the thought..
'Little piece of advice kid... 'Hell hath no fury like a woman's wrath..'
"You'll promise to be careful though.. And if I say to go below deck you'll obey orders, right?" He questioned. Deep down he could be a terrible worry wart..

" Aye, aye Cap'n!" She grinned at him, then took her seat on his shoulder. "Thank you so much!" She hugged his neck tightly.

Deimos grinned back.. "Welfcome back, Smal... Aph.." He said, utting himself off.. He didn't want to anger her further, especially after her outburst in the classroom. He could only imagine how much wasp stings hurt..
Remembering that they still had class soon though, he groaned.. "I can't believe Bax gave me that assignment though.. It's not liek I wasn't payign attention.."

"... But you shoulda tooken notes, Bax is gonna announce the test we need to study for after break... well practice test." She sighed, it helped living with your teacher. " We still got alot of time left before we need to go back."

Deimos gave a groan and scoffed. "Test.. yuck.." He said, looking around the jungle room.. Eyeing another, sdtronger looking fine, he smirked and headed over there.. "Have you been high up here? I hadn't seen this room before.."

"I've been here before." She said looking up. "But I didn't get a good look at stuff. " She said as she flew up from his shoulder to get a better look around. "There's a pond and a tree house!"

"A tree house?!" Deimos exclaimed exitedly. He'd claim it for his crew! Rushign for the vine he leapt, graspign it tightly and using his demonic strength to pull him up. Making it up to a higher branch he looked around, still unable to see it. "Which way?" He asked, peering around.

"A little higher! You're almost there!" She called, flying towards the treehouse in the middle of the room. Sitting on a table that was inside, she flopped and laid down staring up at the wooden ceiling.

Looking around, he spotted another vine hanging here.Grasping onto it he beagn his acent . Making it to the top with ease he rested on the branch by the treheouse. "Nice place.." He said idly, standing an treading inside.. He looked over at APh and smiled slgihty. "Wish I could fly like you do.. I can but it takes a lot out of me.."

"Only in a perfect world." She said quietly, looking up at the ceiling. Sighing she sat up. "We should get back." The passage of time had felt small, but she could feel the pull of a summoning spell in the pit of her stomache... the same sorts of spells that Bax would cast to call her home when it got too late. Damn, did he trust her?
