When Natalia pointed out they should introduce themselves, the nix blinked, almost as if he'd been physically hit; well of course they should introduce themselves! Where were his manners? Possibly inhibited by the stupid humming sound, that's what, "Oh..." the word was breathed out softly before he nodded, "Right, right, of course," he lifted his tail and pointed at himself, "My name is Gabrian, Natalia. Pleasure to meet you. I'm sure I spotted you in Minipet training. I'm usually not in this form; I'm a nix demon. I sat by LW in that class, if that helps you place me more easily," once he was done with the introductions, he turned to look around around them, "I think we should stick as close together as we can. Fog can be tricky."

He caught LW's dirty look, and tried to make himself appear as innocent as possible, going as far as tilting his head to one side. It probably wasn't working though; snakes had a... really hard time trying to look even remotely innocent, "I'm sorry," he was rewarded with a smile, and he instantly perked on up, finally turning to look around them to inspect their surroundings. As such, he was caught by surprise when she reached out to scratch him under his chin; no one had ever so much as tried to do something like that to him, and Gabrian swiftly decided then and there, that he very much liked it. He hissed softly and leaned into the scratching, shifting his head so she had better access, his lids hooding his eyes for that brief moment. He actually had to shake his head to clear the fog out of his own mind when she finally pulled her hand away, "Er... right. moving forward sounds about right."

The sparkly tree and the pendant were... odd and as such, the serpent was naturaly distrustful. He allowed his tongue to slip out and back in several times before he hissed loudly. His scowl only softened when LW's hand landed on his head briefly, "Be careful," he turned his head and... wait, was that Ren over there? He blinked, momentarily distracted from the wolf ghoul's actions as he tried to squint through the fog. Her falling however, instantly brought his attention back to her, and he slithered over to her form on the ground, only to be almost crushed by Ren in the process, "Watch it, birdbrain!" he opened his mouth to show off his fangs, but it was obvious he didn't even really mean it, "doubt you'd squash me. And if you tried you'd only get a bite for your efforts anyhow," he sneered the words out before turning to the fallen wolf girl, "Are you quite alright?" a pause as he hooded his eyes, "I didn't even try. I'm not sure how effective my serpent form will be for climbing."

It was right around then that he noticed Astra had managed to secure the pendant, and before he had time to say another word... something happened. He was used to strange teleportations from the Christmas raid but this was ridiculous! The serpent gagged slightly and then took a look around before he blinked, winced at the unknown scenery and then moved to curl around Ren and LW almost unconciously. Not only that, but he'd only just noticed... he couldn't seem to shift into his humanoid form, "Ooooh, Jack-damnit! Not this nonsense again! I had enough of this in Christmas town!" he eyed the other students as the proposed how to cross and the serpent winced; while this form was useful when water was near, he was in a clear disadvantage here, "I'm not sure I could even stop one of those things from moving by latching onto it..."

He turned to glare up at Ren as he spoke. Glaring and scowling came naturally to him in this form, "Screw yo-" he was cut off as the gryphon not only offered to carry him but er... grabbed him before he could order his thoughts enough to offer a proper reply. Before he knew what was going on, he'd been picked up off the floor and placed over Ren's shoulder. On instinct, the serpent shifted so he was hanging around the other boil's neck and then glared sideways at him, almost as if daring him to say one word - just one word. At the moment, they looked ridiculous, with half of Gabrian's body hanging off of Ren, dragging as he walked. But hey! Free ride. Whatever worked.

"It's serpent, Sarias, serpent," he hissed at the ghost girl, "Why don't you float there? You're a ghost - it's not like much can hurt you!" he did look at LW with appreciation when she stood up for him, "Not like she could if she wanted to," he sniffed sourly.

She welcomed Gabe's reply easily, a smile fading only when students began to give the humming sound a 'face'.

Natalia, although particularly fond of climbing, had decidedly stuck to the ground. Acting as a leverage for whoever might have needed it, the ghoul pressed against those that had either fallen off the tree with no luck, or had not started the climb at all...

It was her own fault that the monster lost track of the surroundings and squealed when things were not what they had been. LW, who had been her rock for all of ten minutes, was lost in the sea of heads; as was Livi and Gabe so it seemed. The monster's heart raced while her arms wrapped tightly around her; what was this place?

Her tail never left her torso now, it too coiled about her rigidly so as not to be stepped on or pulled...by anyone or anything. Steel boxes ran across white lines on a landscape Natalia was neither fond of nor familiar with. She brought her knees in toward one another and crouched, shivering still. "LW?" She murmured, before saying it a little louder.

Then, to those closest to her she whispered. "I prefer the fog..."

Blinded by the flash, Jericho blinked several times before his vision came to focus once more. And he did not like what he saw.

"What? What is this?" He frowned while getting up to his feet. Grey was all around... with exception of the blue sky above. And what was with those steel boxes? The dragon looked towards the other students who seemed just about as confused as he was here.

"You're not going to lock yourself in your room Riley," he sighed before walking towards one of the obstructions nearby to try and see what it was exactly. Maybe there was some way to get above it.

LW managed to give Gabe a small smile but her eyes were still looking all over. Those strange box things on wheels looked dangerous. Maybe it was a good idea to send a ghost out first, since they could phase through one of the moving boxes? Her tail was tightly wrapped around her legs as she kept her close postion to gryphon and serpent. A hand was lightly running along Gabe in an effort to calm herself.

"Who...who all is here?" The she-wolf asked. "That might help us figure out what to do." Though she wasn't too sure about that. But she didn't like this place. Nope.

A familiar voice somewhere behind her had the she-wolf glancing back and looking around. That had been Natalia! "Natalia!" She squeaked out, looking for the lemur. Moving, however, was currently something that her feet were incapable of doing until she had calmed down a bit more.

West smirked at Holly as she took off toward the shiny humming thing in the... tree, maybe? He couldn't really see where exactly the thing was in all this fog, and the rate at which students were dropping out of the sky kept him from going after it himself. There were plenty of buzzing sparkling things at the maul.

The demon sighed. He yawned. Boring. West turned, intending to go back to his dorm and leave everyone to their idiocy, when

Halloween broke.

West found himself falling, or maybe he wasn't falling at all. Either way, he instinctively unfurled his hated wings and commenced Operation Ineffectual Flapping. Moments later he crashed to the ground, one feathered wing disappearing back into whichever dimension it spent most of its time in. The other one crumpled under him with a sickening snap. He bit his lip in reaction to the sudden pain, but didn't cry out, and when he tried to retract the thing it remained, floating limply off to his left, its blood-spattered tips a stark contrast to the patch of bright green he sat at the center of. "Go'way," he urged. His gimpy wing just sat there. Great. Now he looked like a dumbass.

Glancing around in an attempt to locate Holly, West took in the partially battered forms of Aksaja, Riley, Jericho and a couple of other students he knew scattered throughout a large number of ones he didn't. He thought he had recognized those silhouettes in the fog. Rising to his feet with a grunt, West finally began to notice where they were. It was so bright! And what in the nine rooms of Candlejack's House was up with the sky? He stared up at it, eyes narrowed, mostly oblivious to his surroundings.

He hadn't been too sure what had happened but it was Luka's yapping mournfully into his ear that made him groggily come to. He recalled the mad dashes into the trees to grab the thing that had been humming and glinting but then... he remembered being rather blinded and then nothing much else. When his senses came back to him, he looked around for those he had been with. He didn't see LW, Natalia or Gabe anywhere but there were a lot more than he hadn't noticed before. Quite a few he recognized easily. He was a tad bit surprised that Lizzy and Amrita were there, but maybe they had been drawn to the place like he and Luka had...

But it seemed like no one had been hurt or anything... though Aksaja couldn't seem to fly or something. This place was just... odd.

... what. What was going on?! One moment Malodore had been anxiously watching other students seek the source of the shiny thing - the plague doctor, of course, wasn't going into that morass, after all SOMEONE had to stay clear-headed in case of emergency - and now...

... now was, evidently, The Emergency. Luce cowered, hiding under Malodore's coat; it could feel her little body trembling against it. Where the...

"I'm Lizzy and this is Amrita," The Demoness managed a smile as she nodded at the pretty blue-haired ghoul before gesturing at the Vetala leaning on her. She still felt pretty weak, and didn't really want to move from her spot on the floor; besides, holding Amrita made her feel slightly braver about their ordeal. Making a rather horrified face at the idea of throwing a student into the fast-moving steel boxes, she quickly shook her head, "I... I don't think that's such a good idea. I really don't wish for anyone to get hurt like that!"

She then turned to look at the Nix (that was what he called himself, right?); he has such a pretty natural form! Catching herself staring, she quickly looked away - and saw something lime green.

"Livi!" She called out to the Envy Demon, giving the boil a wave; she was glad to see him, but not glad that they had to meet again under such circumstances; then again, it seems like they always meet only when there is trouble... She sighed inwardly, holding Amrita a little tighter; she had a feeling that they would not be making that shopping trip for a long while.

A smile graced his lips at Lizzy's call and he raised a hand in greeting before he made his way over to her. "Good to see the two of you are doing all right... given the circumstances. We always do seem to meet under them, don't we?" He was being half joking and half sorry about that. After their first meeting, they've only run into each other doing things that ended up being some kind of trouble. Though the two were in pet training class with him, so maybe not always. "Are you two all right really?" Luka tried to wolf whistle a greeting but Livi gently quieted him. Now wasn't the time for such things really.

((Zoo note: You are good to post!))

The fog had taken Christof by surprise as he was coming back from a nightly 'treasure hunt' as he liked to put it. Shovel across his shoulder, he slowed as the fog thickened. He could hear distant voices all calling to one another- fellow students? Was something going on? Timidly, he left his bag of parts under a tree where he could find it, but if the Death Charm Mommy had come to reclaim Rita's baby.. well.... he was certainly not leaving his shovel behind. One voice was clearer than the rest, hitting his brain without having to filter through his ears- Mistress? He tried to call out mentally, but by the time he had grown close..... everything changed.

He felt cold grass suddenly lurch up under him, his shovel landing across his lap as he blinked in confusion. Well, the fog had lifted- and he had found the other students. But... where in Fear where they??

In a spinny sort of way, the world began to make sense again.

Was he dead? No. He'd died before. Several times. Being dead wasn't this weird. He thought he smelled peppermint, but maybe he was just having war flashbacks. ...No, that was definitely peppermint.

He reached in his pocket. The previous crunch had come from a peppermint snake that must have lodged itself there earlier in the evening. It looked...less than healthy. He carefully put what was left of it back in the pocket, hoping no one noticed, then dusted off his glove on his pants.

There were a lot of fast-moving things on the gray strip in front of him. As a slow-moving thing, he was very glad that he had not landed on the gray strip.

"They don't seem err, very keen on stopping, do they?" he asked no one in particular.

"Regrettably yes," Lizzy replied Livi with a soft sigh, amused yet not really - she had quickly learnt that school life was far from 'boring' and 'uneventful', although she wasn't sure if she liked it that way. Shifting her legs to rest beside her while trying her best not to move Amrita, the Demoness nodded, "Well, I'm sure I could be better, but I'm alright... How about yourself? And I see that... Um-" She paused briefly, trying to recall the Foxsquirrel's name from Minipet class, "Luka! Yes, Luka is with you as well?"

Which reminded her of Jimmy. And DC. WHERE ARE THEY? A look of panic crossed her features as she sat up and looked around, between the sea of legs; oh no oh no... Nothing bad can happen to Jimmy! It better be safe...

Hearing Barth's comment, she frowned ever so slightly as she turned to look at the boil; if anyone was going to get hit by the fast moving steel boxes, it would be the Sloth demon... She looked at him, slightly worried.

Junko groaned and sat up, rubbing the back of her head. Owww! She must have knocked herself out or something when she fell. She looked around to find she was surrounded by students, some of which she hadn't seen before venturing into the fog. Wait, why was it so bright?! Junko winced and glanced up toward the sky, a soft gasp escaping her when she saw it. Blue sky? Why was the sky blue? The sky wasn't blue! What was going on? Where were they? The little undead girl said something about not being in Halloween and Junko frowned. That was very plausible. This was not Halloween.

"A...are we...we're not in the human world are we--what the hell!" Junko jumped and threw her arms around the nearest person, clinging to them and just staring at the moving box monstrosities. What were those?!
PostPosted: Wed Jan 19, 2011 11:06 am

Human world? What? West glared sharply at Junko, thankful that she hadn't wrapped herself around him. He took a step toward the speeding metal boxes, fists clenched. Uncle Telefsen always enjoyed cracking jokes about how West's mother looked like she had been 'hit by Akarr.' Maybe these were his minions? If they could hit, he would hit back whether they stopped rolling around or not.

But wait? What were those things inside Akarr's henchmen? "I think'we might be," he grumbled. Humans. Ew.

Jericho looked back at the mention of the human world.

"Is that what this is? This is... not... really what I'd expect," he blinked. Then again he wasn't really sure what he would have expected. But it wouldn't be this... if it really was the human world. Besides, he didn't see anything that might be a human?

Looking towards West briefly, he frowned, "I don't think you can punch them... they seem really fast."
