Sonja moved to flank Aydan's other side as they got closer and closer to the ground. A good thing too since the stallion could barely keep himself upright as they went to land... "I guess touching down with three legs is a little different than landing with four, huh?" Sonja asked trying to help Aydan to the ground gently with limited luck.
"Sorry about that," Aydan managed through gritted teeth as he managed to settle on the ground, his damaged leg stretched out awkwardly before him. It was worse now that he could see it - bloody and torn. How was he ever going to fly on that?

"You're fine," Velika soothed as she half hovered around him. "Sonja, what we're gonna need is a purple flower with three petals and four leaves. The leaves are gonna be in an oval shape. I need five of them, okay? And some huge leaves."

"3 petals, 4 leaves, 5 flowers - got it!" Sonja said rushing off into the meadow to find them and the extra leaves.
Aydan shook his head sadly, "And I'm supposed to be keeping her out of trouble. Look at the state I'm in..."

"You did a wonderful job distracting that skinwalker," Velika chirped. "You just lay down and rest. I'm going to get some water to clean your cut, alright? Don't worry, Sonja can handle herself for a bit."

Aydan gave a half laugh, half grimace with the pain, "Yes, I did make excellent bait, didn't I?" He tried to adjust to get a better look at the damage because somehow he didn't think water and a few leaves were going to help judging from the pain.

"Well... not as common as the sniffles, but it happens." Velika considered then decided not to mention that the majority of those who were afflicted by skinwalker bites didn't survive them. But then, most of those didn't survive the initial encounter either.

"I think this might be a little more serious than the sniffles," Aydan winced hoping the damage wasn't as bad as it looked. It really didn't look good at all.

Aydan forced a laugh, "Advice to live by." He eyed his wounds a little closer and grimaced hoping the white he was seeing was torn skin and not bone.

Velika returned just then with some water contained in an overly large, bowl shaped leaf. She noticed the wince and smiled sympathetically, trying hard not to show her own concern. "It's best if you don't look too closely at it."

"Too late..." he admitted looking away from the sight. "So...what's the first step to...fixing this?" he asked hoping it could indeed be fixed.
