"Maybe." Rouge said thoughtfully, looking at Shadow and grinning. Then, she half-jokingly warned, "Watch what you call Shadow. He can have a temper sometimes."
Shadow stopped walking in the middle of a clearing.
Rouge stopped as well. "What are we stopping for?" she asked cuirously.

Rosemary shrugged and looked around. "I would ask that too, but then that would be echoing. That's annoying." she said, referring to Rouge's question. "Though I am wondering it too."

Shadow crouched on one knee, putting his hand on the ground, fingers outstretched.
"What are you doing?" Rouge demanded, utterly baffled by Shadow.
"Military troups three miles west, heavy artilury, elites. That means if we're to avoid them, we head east." He stood, then turned eastward and walked that way.
Rouge just stared. "How the hell does he DO that??"

Rosemary's mouth dropped open slightly. "He's the Ultimate Lifeform?" she suggested rather lamely. She was impressed. Really impressed. "Well, I guess we know why he stopped." she said.

Rosemary shook her head and ran after Shadow and Rouge. Honestly, Shadow was becoming much more impressive. When Rosemary had first seen Shadow, she just considered him a freak. Now, she saw that he really was ultimate.

Rouge heard a buzz from her wristwatch. A voice spoke from it.
"Rouge The Bat, come in Rouge. What is your status on Shadow?"
"Oh, how cute, they think I'm spying on him. Hey Shadow, do you have a messege for them?"
"That they can suck -CENSORED-."
Rouge lifted her wrist, pressing a button and speaking clearly back. "Everything is A okay. In friendlier words, Shadow said you can go to hell."
"All right. Sergant out." Rouge lowered her arm. "You need to wash your mouth with soap or something, Shadow."
(Shadow's a potty mouth xD)

Rosemary laughed a bit at Shadow's obscene manner. "And the fact that they take it so well." she said, referring to the Sergant's words. She continued laughing at Rouge's words. "Well, we'd have to bring a lot along because I'm figuring that it'll get worse." she said.

Rosemary laughed. "Ah, well. That's too bad. We'll have to find other ways then." she said. For the heck of it, she crossed her arms in mock of Shadow.

Rouge giggled. She did this too.
Shadow stopped walking again.
"What now?" Rouge asked irritably.
Shadow didn't reply, just staring into space for a moment. Then he dived into a thicket, pulling Rosemary and Rouge with him.
Rouge looked at him, lying on her stomach. "What the HELL was THAT ab-"
"Shhh!" Shadow hissed, crouched dwon.
Voices.
"...around here somewhere. You just HAD to leave the radar back at base, didn't you?"
"Not my fault we were sent out so quickly."

Rosemary let out a surprised gasp as she was suddenly pulled under the brush. She rolled onto her stomach, copying Rouge's position. She too, was about to complain when Shadow hushed Rouge. She blinked and then froze at the sound of voices. She shot a glance at Rouge and Shadow, before turning her gaze in the direction of the voices.

"Dammit. They knew I'd be too busy feeling the heavy artilury to notice any small scouting groups." Shadow mumbled irritably.
"Well, we'll just have to search the old fashioned way, won't we Jake?"
"You two are the most idiotic people I have EVER met." said a new, female voice. It was familiar to Rouge and Shadow.
"Oh come ON, we aren't THAT bad Claire." said the second scout.
"Yeah, you definatly are, Steve." said Jake.
"WILL YOU BOTH SHUT UP?!" Claire's voice was closer to them now. Or maybe her shouting just carried. Silence and footsteps.
"Claire, you search in that thicket. He might've dived in to avoid us."
"Fine." Claire was now right outside the bush.
"Claire!" Shadow hissed.
Claire pretended to search, and whispered back, "Is that you Shadow?"
"Tell them you saw me over to the north, and we'll head south. There's a village over there we can take cover in."
"Got it." Claire stood and walked away, or at least her footsteps said so.[/align

Rosemary shot a questioning glance at both Shadow and Rouge. Things just get weirder and weirder, she thought. It seemed odd to lay here when anything dangerous could happen to them at any moment.

"I think I saw movement over that way." Claire said.
"Then let's check it out." Their footsteps faded.
Shadow came out of the bush, followed by Rouge, who brushed leaves and dirt off herself. "Ugh. You couldv'e chose a beter hiding spot. Now I've got dirt all over me...."
