There were getting to be more of them here, Petro noted. And of the new arrivals, Petro only recognized one. The dragon. Well, he never did got the other boil's name, but he remembered him from the island of toys. The other students, however, the barely dressed monster horse didn't know or recognize. At Amrita's acceptance, he adjusted his things before picking her up again, an arm tucked under her knee while the other arm held the snow cannon. "Just don't touch my mane," he informed her, unsure if he had ever told her that back in the workshop. Oh well, it was just in case he hadn't.
Equine ears twitched in concern when the boil named Barth (yay, Petro knew to pay attention this time!) spoke of his experience on Candy Cane Lane. That did not bode well. "Oughta start movin' or something, then?" the Tikbalang asked the others.

Did they get separated again so soon after their reuinion?
Judging from the wide peppermint striped path that she had landed beside, Lizzy figured that she had obviously been thrown to the forbidden Candy Cane Lane after the blast in the warehouse... Apparently, bad things happened to the first group of students that refused to heed Hellma's warning and picked Candy Cane Lane after exiting the forest of drunken trees. She winced at the bruises she had sustained from the explosion as she stood up, brushing snow off her clothes as she stepped onto the path. She could already see students gathering ahead... It would surely be wise to join them!
As she neared the figures, however, she realized that she knew most of them; there appeared to be a demon boil she did not recognize, but she could make out most of them. Smiling, she started to run, waving as she did, "You guys landed here too? I've heard bad things, we have to get out- AMRITA."
She was hugging Petro tightly! Petro, the Mohawk-horse-boil wearing only a loincloth; sure, he's got looks and body, but she didn't know that he was her type! Perhaps their bond strengthened behind the Yellow door? He was carrying her and she was sure that Petro had protected Amrita well.
"Oh Amrita~ Good job!" She flashed her a thumbs-up followed by a wink, both which were rather inappropriate for the situation, but she figured it might help them if they lightened up a little anyway.

The force of the explosion had been buffered by the large dragon body surrounding her, which took the brunt of the hit. Unfortunately, it was that same dragon body that would be her downfall, as she had managed to hang on to him for the entire time he was flung back into the air, and was hence crushed under his weight when they fell with a thud into the snow. When he stood up, the dark depression he made in the snow had an oddly deep center - it was her, and she looked just about as bad as she felt.
She was sure every bone was broken. She was sure of it. She tried to move one arm, and heard a peal of agony screeching through her mind. With a detached sense of awareness, she wondered who else could have made such a sound - it took a few moments to realize it was coming from her.
Despite every instinct telling her to just lay still and not move, she tried her other arm. To her immense relief, it wasn't broken - and without further ado, she used it to retrieve her second pill and place it in her mouth.
Unfortunately, her jaw was broken. She couldn't even chew it. She laid as still as the dead, waiting for the pill to slowly dissolve in her mouth. It took far longer than she would have liked, but eventually the jarring feeling of bones mending themselves became apparent. She clenched down stubbornly to keep from any further screaming, until finally the pain was nothing but a horrifying memory.
Even fully healed, she lay motionless in the snow for a bit, blinking up at the sky.
This place is hell. I am sure of it.

PAF!
Snow was good. Malodore liked snow. It kept you from being dead... which was nice. Yes. Undead was much better than dead-dead.
The plague doctor slowly shook its head, sending a cascade of snow from the brim of its hat. Next to it, Luce dug her way out of the snowbank that had caught them both. "Stupidi figli di puttane Natale," Malodore muttered, fumbling for its precious pumpkin pills... ah, yes.
The FEAR rush was enormous, stabilizing it immediately, though it could still feel the intense oppression of JOY. As it healed, it could see others around it. "Jericho? Riley?" it said, slowly.
Thankfully, Luce seemed to be okay. She pressed herself against her master's side, tail thumping slowly.

Aksaja scrambled out of the way quickly when he spotted a rather large red form hurtling down out of the sky - with a smaller purplish form clinging to it. Jericho...and Riley. The lightning dragon's eyes widened when he saw that the other dragon was going to land right on top of Riley... And even though he was kinda pissed at her right now for having tricked him out of a pumpkin pill... that wasn't something he'd wish on anyone.
So there was a most definite wince of sympathy at her mental keening, and he was actually rather relieved she still had a pill to take, even if it happened to be his. Nodding in reply to her comment, Aksaja muttered, "Nooo s**t..."

Petro turned towards the female voice, recognizing it to belong to the spider demoness. He gave her a small, friendly smile, relieved that there was another familiar face. Misunderstanding the thumbs up and wink Lizzy was giving the undead ghoul he was carrying to be about Amrita's spectacular defeat of the yellow ninja scout, Tro goodnaturedly nodded, "Yeah, Amrita was real something back at the yellow door."
Oh Tro, you have no idea what Lizzy was referring to, have you? Clearly, no. But that obviously didn't bother the monster horse as he looked perfectly fine and not the least bit self-conscious that he was just in a loincloth while carrying Amrita.

"I would expect nothing else from Amrita! She can be really bold when she needs to be," Lizzy nodded, misunderstanding the boil's innocent reply to be referring to Tro and Amrita's "relationship"; wait, does this mean that Amrita had already confessed?! Was that why Tro was so willing to carry her? The Demoness didn't know to be excited or worried; after all, didn't the two only meet at the start of the trip? Were things moving too quickly?
Well, that discussion could wait for when they return to school.
"So... Who knows which way to go? As I was saying, we have to get out of here fast." She said out loud to nobody in particular, looking at her travelling companions before realizing that she had not yet introduced herself to the demon boil-whom-she-did-not-recognize. Moving to stand beside him, she dipped her head in greeting, "I am Lizzy, a pleasure to meet you although I wish we could have met under better circumstances." She was so used to 'Lizzy', she really can't remember the last time she introduced herself using her full name...

Laiha suddenly found herself laying in the snow once more. What had happened after the battle? There had been a noise, and then blackness and... what was this?
Where ever they were , it was not Halloween. She was pretty sure they were told they'd end up back home but... this? Was this... oh, Jack. Oh, Jack, no. All of these red stripes, this had to be the avenue they had been told not to pass! She tried to sit and found her back shockingly pained, and she spit a gob of bile to the ground. It steamed through the snow and hit frozen earth where it stayed. She popped her final pumpkin pill and groaned as she sat again.
Oh, Jack, someone she remembered!
"Aksaja," she wheezed horasely, "Where are we?"

Aksaja turned in a bit of surprise when he heard someone call his name, having missed Laiha's landing with everything else going on. Oh, it was the ghoul that had been with them before...
"Uhm," he said, glancing around. "My guess is that Candycane place... the one we weren't supposed to go to..." he said quietly. He hadn't been here himself, but it had sounded pretty bad ...
"Does anyone want me to fly up and take a look around..?" he asked the group in general. He was sore just about everywhere and the snow and ice had scraped and bruised him, but the dragon was fairly sure he could still get into the air, at least for a few moments.

"Bartholomew Mudd," Barth said, dragging his feet. "And I...am not sure. We err, didn't get this far down the path last time."
He dithered, checking his pockets.
Peppermint points: plenty. He hoped they didn't act as some kind of lure. Although considering the territory, maybe they helped mask his scent.
Pumpkin pills: Zero.
Squashed animal: 1, apparently. He dragged out an extremely unhappy looking flycat out of his coat before replacing it. It would be fine in there, probably.
And....his bell. He gave it a testing shake. Yep, still worked.

Alwine could smell the sweet flavor of peppermint. It wafted about her, filling her (lack of) head with JOY-filled dreams.
When she came to her senses, the ghoul briskly sat up, clutching her hand to her neck.
"No... I didn't mean to come back here..." she whispered. "I'm so sorry, I really didn't mean to come back here. I really didn't. I didn't mean to step on your Lane again, I'm so sorry..."
Alwine's hands were shaking as she stood up and looked at the others.
"No, don't fly! He'll see us... I don't want him to know that I'm here again. I already apologized, I-- we need to leave. We need to get back to the forest. We shouldn't be here, I'm so sorry, so sorry..."
Alwine pushed her remaining Pumpkin Pill past the lace covering her neck, putting her HP back at a full 25. She almost dropped it, she was shaking so hard.

Ah hell, and now there was a panicking ghoul talking about ... probably some monster or other that had been here before. Aksaja clenched his jaw and forced himself to patience. "But if we don't know where we are, we can't get back to the forest. S'just as likely we'll end up back at Christmas Town..." Or they could be smack in the middle of the damn thing, equal distance to both places. This lane was supposed to be the fastest way back, but not if they went the wrong way. If that happened ... they might not have time to get back on one of the other paths....

"I'd rather be back in Christmas Town than attacked... I'm sorry..." Alwine shook her neck. "I shouldn't have said anything. I'm not very good with decisions. You do whatever you think is right."
She tried to curtsy, but it looked really odd in her bloomers. "My name is Alwine... do what you think is best, but please be careful. Jingleberry is very powerful... and we do need to get off of his path as soon as possible."

Even though the dragon was far more hurt than the ghoul was at the moment...and thus probably had more to worry about if this 'Jingleberry' showed up again, he smiled faintly at her. (And wondered how she could even see and talk without a head, but whatever)...
"I'm Aksaja... and don't worry, we'll get outta here." One way or another... his mind grimly tacked on.

Looking around more, Jericho didn't see any signs of the Mindflayer, which really only left one option... Slowly, he looked to see where he had landed and sure enough there she was and she certainly did not look good at all.
"Oh man, I'm so sorry Riley."
At least she still had a pill on her.
"I'm with you there... I'm ready to go home already. All that crap and no real treasure," he mumbled. Instead they had handfuls of peppermint points.
Looking up at the others in the area, it seemed that a number of them were concerned of who may show up here. He recalled hearing someone boasting that they had killed the ninja of this area earlier. True or not, l he wasn't too certain how concerned they needed to be.
