Zoje put her hand in Ovans pressed her back against him. She closed her eyes and allowed herself to drift of to sleep. Shes wake herself up in 2 hours wo relieve Renn of his watch duty.
Renn stared off into the darkness, not realy paying attention to anyone or anything. All he wanted was to get zoje back.

Ovan stirred awake, a revilation had come to him after his sleep. Zoje wasnt there... so he still had some time to rethink this for a while.

Zoje glanced back at the two sleeping figures behind her. Renn looked as if he were having a nightmare, Ovan was still.
Renn opened his eyes suddenly. Zoje back was turned, she was still keeping an eye out for danger. He glanced at Ovan then stood up silently. He wa;led up behind Zoje and whispered her name. She turned and before she could protest he kissed her and wrapped his arms around her waist.
Zoje tried to protest and push him away. but some part of her wouldnt let her.

I told you, a familiar voice said into his mind, It was only a matter of time before she got rid of you. Ovan didnt want to accept this... But he knew that he had to. Zoje had no reason to be with him. This man was the father of her child, the man she had already loved once. He closed his eyes, feeling himself melt away from this place. She deserved happiness... He didnt...

Zoje pulled her right arm behind her, balled up her hand, and punched Renn so hard that he spun around twice before landing on the ground. He sat up clutching his face "Dabbit! You boke my fekin bose!" Zoje glared at him and wiped her mouth off. "Your lucky I just dont skin you alive andfeed you to the bears!"

Ovan was back in the room he was in only a few hours ago, Ice's private room. His head was laid down in her lap and she was silently stroking his head. He had no reason to go back to Zoje again, not ever again.

Zoje turd around to look for Ovan. She didnt see him "No, OVan..Ovan where are you!?" she called desperatley. She could feel hot tears sliding down her face. She turned to Renn. "Whats wrong with you? What have you done!"
Renn looked around confused "I-I dont know. Zoje Im sorry please."
Just leave." she said turning away from him. "Just leave me alone. She sat dwon against a tree and lay her head on her knees crying.
Renn watched her for a few moments before walking away.

"She wont hurt us," Ovan and Ice said as one voice, both equaly numb and full of pain, "Not ever again." Tears ran down both of their cheeks as they thought of the memories they had, memories that ripped at their somehow still beating hearts.

Renn knew he had to fix this. He knew where Ovan was. He was such an idiot. All he had wanted was to make Zoje happy.
zoje stopped crying and wiped ehr eyes. She reached into her pocket and pulled out the small black book thats writing would be automatically transferred to the other copy. She pulled the pen out of its holder in the front cover and began to write
I know you probably wont read this. I know you probably wont want to. I wont ask you to come back.
A tear rolled down her cheek and splattered on the last words, smuding them.
This is just a goodbye. I dont deserve you, or you Ice. You were the best friend I could have ever asked for. I didnt want to leave either of you. But everything in my life was decided for as soon as I was born and now matter how hard I try to change that, things will always turn out the same. Ill take Eliza, or if you want come and get her.
More tears fell and smudged the ink so she closed the book and whispered the spell that would transfer the writing exactly as it was.

The two of them were silent. Ice was herself trying to think of how to keep Ovan hidden. She knew him... Loved him even. She knew that he didnt care back, at least not yet. But he would, that was certain. She would make him see the there was someone who wouldnt leave him... Of cource, she wanted even more to break Zoje once and for all. To finaly see her dead and in the most pain that any other would leave any other begging for the fires of hell...

Renn gasped as the transport placed him back at fortress. He opened the door before him silently. He walked over to where Ice was sitting with Ovan "I know you hate her Ice. I know how much you want hr to die and suffer. But its not worth it. She cant die until the universe is done with her. By keeping him here you are making her miserable, but your also delaying events that have to happen. I dont think she will be able to let go this time. And therefore she wont be able to go on to do whatever it is that needs to be done. We both know that what happened back there is my fault."

"Let her goals be unreached and her life be a long and misrable one." Ice forced them both to say at once. She held onto her prize with a grip of iron, not wishing to lose him, "You are the wound that tears at the hearts of all of us. It is you who has ruined the lives of each person in this conundrum." They both shouted at him, "There is only one of these lives you can save by any action you make, only one. We all know that you would chose your precious ex-wife over any of them."

Renn closed his eyes. In his mind e relived the force of her punch and the hatredin her voice when she had shouted at him. She didnt love him anymore, he realized. She would never take him back. "No I wouldnt. choose her anymore." he said slowly as it dawned on him that it was true. That last kiss had made him realize the truth "I really dont lover her anymore." he glanced at Ovan "but she loves him. More than she ever loved me. Sooner or later things will happen that will influence our future forever. What you decide to do now is going to decide how those events effect you."

Ice stood up savagely, "She doesnt love him!!!" Ice shout at him, only herself this time, "There is no true love between the two of them! Its only because of my plan that they were even to meet! She... Doesnt..." Ovan kicked her in the back, making a knife out of ice and holding it to her neck.
"Just shut up... And stop doing that whenever I have a small bit of doubt!"
"See, he doubts he even loves her... Why would she hold onto him more that you?"
"I only doubted because... I dont know... I love her more than anything... If she would just take me back... One last time, id bes safe."

Renn looked at Ovan "She does love you. Very much. Shes jsut not good at showing it. She showed you Ling Ray, that wsnt for your benefit. I never met him. Ling Ray is her bonded father, he raised her and taught her what she needs to know. By allowing you to meet him she told him that she loved and trusted you enough to let you know about who she really is."
