After walking for more than a day, Magus finally overcame what was to be the last peak of the gale-rendered wasteland behind him. Looking back, it was so distant now. He could no longer see the great chasm from where he emerged. Amidst it all, it struck him with memories of the earthen realm that once nested below Zeal.

Looking ahead, Magus saw a small town and a collection of houses. Smoke rose up from chimney's and people were moving busily outside. These people were very much the same as the ones he knew from his realm. *So perhaps there's a connection*

Some of the people looked as strange or perhaps even stranger than himself, and though his scythe was comparable to the weapons of those who wielded such constructs, it would not seem terribly unjustified for him to arrive with it in hand. At any rate, he accepted the risk and moved onward.

The largest of the immediate buildings was obviously some kind of Inn. Entering, Magus looked about cautiously. Approaching the Innkeeper, he removed a small sack of golden coins. Uncertain if the currency would be accepted, he asked. "Will anything I lay before you suffice for a night's stay?"

After waking from a night of much needed rest, Magus departs the Inn. He checks the map he'd purchased the night prior - it'd cost him well enough, but it was detailed enough to get him around as needed. He certainly didn't know enough about this world to make it on his own just yet. Others he could do without.... for now. But a map was necessary. For lack of any reason to stay - outside the interesting company of the Inn and surrounding area, Magus steps out to resume his newfound journey.

"Perhaps there is purpose somewhere beyond this snowy front. I suppose there's really only one way to tell."

Magus stows the map and sets out from the Inn.

She turned as she heard the doors to the Inn open to a pink haired girl who went right up to the Inn keeper and asked for food and hot chocolate, why didn't she just think of that?! Well the only problem was that she had no money so she couldn't pay for the food, she just stood there for a moment before going over to one of the tables herself and sat down. She sat there for awhile looking pretty confused and just plain lost, her red gaze downward in thought since she had no idea where she was or how she got here in the first place.

She lifted her gaze to look at the pink haired girl as she was talking to her, blinking a bit at her offer to give her a meal. "Really I'm fine..." There was a small hint of an accent in her voice, making it more obvious she wasn't from around these parts. She looked a bit embarrassed as the girl had pretty much made her say yes to the offer since she didn't want to be rude! "Um...I'll just have the same thing..." She didn't know what they had here so she just ordered the same thing as the girl, she got up and moved to where the pink haired girl was sitting, sitting across from her. "Okay I am lost, I don't even know how I got here..."

"Shiori." She said, really only remembering being called that so she just kept it. "...No I don't remember anything other then waking up outside of this town in some cold white stuff that was falling from the sky." She probably got a few weird looks from people that were within earshot for not even knowing what snow was! She knew as much as any average nineteen year old would know, but it was almost like she had lived indoors her entire life.

"Snow? That's a rather...strange name." She propped her head with her hand, her elbow being on the table as she didn't exactly care for table manners as she was getting calmer. "There's so much to learn around this strange place...And I'd think I'd like the city then this town." She rubbed her fingers a bit as they were pink and hurt from them being so cold, who knew how long she could have been out there in the snow, minutes, hours?
