"Oh Russia? Well in Russia.. the worst season is Winter." Aleksey said with a frown, and dread appeared in hsi eyes as a worried look came over his face. "Russia Winter is like cold harsh unforgiving mistress. Fall is like that as well.. so we not get to see pretty color changing of trees like i hear other places do. It is just cold icy, winter weather. Lots of snow, good for snowball fights though!" Aleksey said with a smile. "During Winter in Russia everyone makes alot of soups and warm bread and drink tea to keep the body warm. We also wearing many layers to keep warm. Here.. " Aleksey said as he blushed lightly.

"Here i am getting hot alot. But i am so used to putting on my coat and scarf every morning it is hard to break habit. Oh we do have spring and summer but most of spring is snow still just not as cold and summer is less cold and rain sometimes it snows. We dont have many sunny days where you can be walking around with just tshirt on." Aleksey said to Mei with a smile.

"So coming here it has been wonderful and very different to be getting used to." Aleksey added. The bunny started to squirm in his hands and he set it down on the ground before brushing himself free of bun bun fur. "But i enjoy it, i miss Russia a bit, but i think here is better. Plus now i have biiig farm to run!" Aleksey said as he outstretched his arms to show the vastness of his big ol farm. Even though Mei had seen it already. "Oh! I hired boy to work for me. He is nice worker, gets alot done. His name is being Kenny i think." Aleksey added. "What is new at your work?"

It had been awhile to see a scene like this. It had been awhile since this blonde little tike had poked her head around town in general. It felt like forever since she got to take a walk with her dad, so she made to hold on to his hand real tight. Of course little Erika would have done so anyway, as the NPCs walking around town made her nervous. But today, she wasn't as worried about it because good ol' Papa was there for her. She smiled as her simple mind just focused on that fact. And before she know it, Erika had found herself in the middle of town. Normally she hated it cause there was a lot of people, but for once she wasn't that scared. And as she saw her father sit down on a bench, all she that was in her mind was being next to him. So she hopped up onto the bench as well and made sure to stick close.

Reed had finally gotten Erika back not to long ago from his aunt. The women was so attached to the girl that Reed would sometimes worry if he would even get her back. He did, so all was right. Though he felt bad about it. Erika had been back already for a week and a half and the man barely spent quality time with her. Which was the reason for this nice little bonding day. So when he had arrived in the center of town, he sat and began to enjoy the scenery. As much as he could at least. He wasn't really a 'beauty of nature' kind of guy. That's why it didn't take long for him to pull out a book and begin reading. True the situation wasn't exactly different then being at home, but the day was still early, he had plenty of time to take his daughter to the movies and stuff. Just for now, he wanted to relax in this peaceful setting. Erika had no objections as she snuggled into her fathers waist. So Reed was able to sit and enjoy a nice book until he could think of where to bring his daughter to have fun.

Gemma Rhodes

Gemma, who had been having a nice weekend up to this point, had decided to go for a walk and found herself at the Town Square. She didn't know why she always seemed to gravitate to this exact point, but maybe it was all the festivals she'd been to. But now there was just a bunch of NPC's, being all boring and stuff. None of them would want to talk to her. Ah, but wait! There, she saw a man and her daughter. Now, the thing about this is that, aside that they weren't NPC's, she didn't recognize the child as one of her students at all. This sparked some interest in her, and so, she moved to stand before the two of them. Watching the man rather intently as she walked from the fair distance between her and the twosome. Now, since neither Nanami, Crimson, or Matthew were around, she would quietly stand there until she caught the person's attention. But realizing that this might take long and, therefore, be boring, she decided against it. "Good afternoon," she greeted, looking down at the child with a pleasant smile. The man would look up also, since some part of her body should be in the upper corner of his eye.

"I'm Gemma Rhodes," she introduced herself, waving awkwardly at them. "You see, umm, I'm one of the teachers at the Creeping Vulture Schoolhouse... somewhere around over there..." she said, unsure. pointing in the general direction of the schoolhouse from their location. "And, I have to say, I've never seen this little girl before. Which is worrisome, because that means you either know who the principal is, or you don't." she said, visibly deflating with a sigh. Stting down on the bench beside him, rather comfortably for a stranger, "How old is your daughter, Mr...?" she let the question hang, motioning toward the man to take over.

Now normally when you see someone reading a book in public, they're pretty much publicizing that they don't want to be talked to. Luckily, Reed wasn't that kind of person. In fact he quite liked being approached by random people. He's done it quite a few times already being on the island. That's why when the legs and voice of a women infiltrated his senses. He put on one of his friendly smiles. Though she seemed to do most of the introductory talk all by herself. Of course it was about Erika though, who was now wary of the stranger. Women on this island seemed to like kids... Way different from the girls in the city. "Page, though just Reed is fine," He introduced when given the chance. Then he pushed his daughter a bit out so that she wasn't hidden, "She's four, so she's still a bit to young to be in school." Thank god, there was no way getting Erika to go to school would be easy. Reed was happy that he still had time before worrying about it, "She's getting there soon though, I guess I'll be counting on you to teach her right."

Thank heavens, if she did go to school, with how shy she seemed to be, she'd be eaten alive. Poor, poor little girl. Snapping her head up to look at Reed, she nodded her head enthusiatically. "Yes, I'm the teacher she'd be assigned to," she said, a friendly smile on her face. She didn't feel like going into details, because newcomers usually didn't get that this island was so small that one teacher teached a class from kindergarten all the way up to the seventh grade. She imagined Judith would be the one to explain that, too. "I'm actually glad that I caught sight of her beforehand, it helps me remember their faces and names easier, you know?" she asked, "This is a little island, but you wouldn't believe how many kids are running around. Heck," she interrupted herself, looking back and forth as she leaned forward to tell him some kind of secret. "There's even one family, the Hipp's, those people reproduce like bunny rabbits, I swear!" she laughed, leaning back to her original position. "Should I even be saying something like that?" she asked, now laughing from embarassment.

Slapping her hands down on her lap, she she shook out of her head thoughts of what could be considered gossip and whatnot. "I'm sorry, I'm taking up the whole conversation. Why don't you tell me something about yourself, or maybe your daughter? This way we can get acquainted before I even take your daughter as one of my students, which will make it easier in the long run. I think." she said, her smile dimming as she started to think suddenly. One index going to her chin in thought. She really was such an awkward older woman.

"What a nice teacher huh?" Reed said to his daughter as he rubbed her back. Erika only nodded a little as she made sure to look away. Of course she didn't really understand what a teacher was. But for all she knew, it was someone strange and scary. And yet, her father had no intention of not talking to her. In fact he became even more interested in the conversation as a familiar name was brought in. "I've already been introduced to them," Reed commented with a small chuckle. His encounter with Turner and Talna only lasted a day, but they definitely know how to leave a lasting impression. Though the man couldn't keep in his thoughts for to long, since Gemma had turned the conversation over to him. "Oh? Like a teachers conference before even attending school," Somehow that idea pleased him. Of course for a super dad like him, he wanted to be very well acquainted with the school Erika would be attending. So this seemed like a gift of great fortune. Although Reed had to think about what to say, "Well I guess to put us simply, she's a little girl who's bad with people, and I'm a father who hopes that I won't have to constantly meet with her teacher to talk about her not fitting in at school." That was the hope of every parent wasn't it?

Gemma beamed happily upon seeing what an attentive parent Mr. Page was. He, at least somewhat, appeared interested in his daughters comings and goings. Even if this conversation was a year or so off, but who's counting? And upon him stating that it was like an early teacher's conference, she found herself nodding dumbly. But upon his little explanation, she had leaned forward to listen with interest, she laughed. A high, somewhat pleasant laugh. She was delighted, after all. "Oh, don't worry about that at all," she assured him, her hand going up to awkwardly pat his shoulder and stopping halfway to drop back into her lap. She was sure neither of those would be the case, as it was. She seemed like a perfectly pleasant, if quiet and shy, little girl.

She smiled down at the girl, a soft, warm smile. But then she was back to Reed, just as before. "I usually try to get the kids to do exercises and other revcreative activities together and whatnot, but the kids are usually very open to making new friends. You know how kids are, after all," she nodded her head down at Erica, "I'm sure she'll be taken into the little group faster than you can say, 'The elephant went up the tree for a banana'!" she chirped, not finding those choice of words at all weird. Even just sitting, she looked like a bundle of energy. With both hands clenched into fists raised up excitedly to her upper body.

Reed couldn't help but smile at Gemma. What a pleasant person. A bit out there, but nice all around. Though the little tike next to him didn't share the feelings. In fact, she was close to throwing a tantrum from her presences. "I guess its just as important for them to make friends as it is for them to learn," The man commented thinking about it. The woman's explanation worried him a bit though. Erika really disliked new people... But, she did get along with that one boy when they first moved in. Maybe shes fine with other kids? Reed sure hoped so. And Gemma's quirky reassurance did give him a bit more confidence. "I hope so," He said with a laugh. He was used to hearing strange comments. He lived with Alt of all people after all. So her phrase didn't phase him much. Though what was about to happen did. Very much so actually, because as the woman glanced over to Erika a second time, she began her tantrum. Of course the girl would never yell at her father, but she would let him know that she hated the situation. She would let him know with a very powerful bite into his arm. Which Reed reacted with a loud, "F***K!" Luckily the girl was to busy to pay attention to the profanity. And when he realized what he had just said, he turned a bit pink, "I'm sorry." How embarrassing, in front of his daughter's future teacher of all people. Reed tried to pry his child off, though not really effectively, "For some reason lately she lashes out like this around strangers."

-Lucia Woods-

Ontheothersideofthesquare... A young carnie hopped on top of the bench as she waited for her date. Who could it be though? Lucia had no idea... Maybe that was the point? It was like Phileo's crazy ideas! You heard the base of it and just do it, figuring out the rest of it along the way... Surely it'd be safer than that, it was just a date. Had Lucia ever even dated? Of course she had! It had just gotten nowhere... except maybe second base at a movie theater but well those things were never told... not after Popcorn used it as blackmail... She really had some things in her life to re-evaluate, but for now two things stayed in her mind. Wondering who Riley was. And... figuring out how to play with fire... without Phileo or Popcorn catching her by mistake. Last time hadn't ended well... maybe Finnian could help! She would have to ask him when she got back home!

--Time Paradox Post--

Gemma was happy enough knowing he was satisfied with the reassurance, because it would soon be apparent that that school was the least safe place on the whole damn island. Bar the Sonata Mansion, but she didn't know anything particular about that. Letting out a soft breath, she looked over all the nameless faces and people. She was enjoying the view for a few brief seconds, just up until Reed's rather loud profanity. She had given a start in astonishment, wondering where the pleasant young man she had been talking to just a moment ago. He was so kind, she thought! Bewilderment and confusion marred her face as he apologized, face flush in embarassment... his, that is. "Ah," she nodded downward at Erika, understanding what he meant. She felt a slight pang at the rejection, because kids usually liked her sunny disposition. Kids and some adults alike!

But alas, "Maybe I should go," she said, standing up from the bench slowly. "But I will say..." she paused, a look of uncertainty passing through her face for the briefest of seconds. "You really should deal with that before she gets to school. Neither the principal," she cringed at the half truth that would soon and had already come out of her mouth. "Nor I, nor the other children's parents, would appreciate violence among the younger students." she frowned, her hands awkwardly coming to knot in front of her. "Good bye, Mr. Page." she said finally, turning on her heel and leaving the, as of now, problematic child and her first victim.

Riley's Outfit

Riley decided that since he was labeled as a bad boy, that he should show up late. They really shouldn't have informed him that he looked like he was bad. He was going to run with it. He had his hands in the pockets of his black pre-ripped jeans that led down to some black combat boots. He had one that charity money on top of everything, so why not spend it on some bad boy attire? He shook his head a couple times before leaving the house and was satisfied with the messy look. He even donned some sunglasses for this special occasion. He wanted to give this girl all that she had paid for. If only he knew what that amount was... He looked all around the place, trying to decide which person he should walk up to. With all of the random people around, one in particular caught his eye. The girl on top of the bench looked like she was the most fun around, so she seemed like the perfect prospect. He took a few steps towards her and crossed his arms once he thought he was close enough. He leaned against the tree close by and thought of what he should say to this girl. "I have a special delivery for some lucky girl. Did you order a Riley?" He smirked over at the girl, letting his sunglasses fall a bit down his nose. It would be quite embarrassing if this wasn't the girl, but he would just shrug it off and act like it didn't bother him because he was now a bad, bad boy.

-Lucia Woods-

Lucia had been so intently working on her balance, that she was honestly surprised to hear a voice near her. Her body turned to face him and for a few seconds she simply tilted her head to the side and stared at him. "Why yes I did!" said the girl with a grin before jumping down from the bench, landing quite close to him. Hey it was only a difference of a few steps? "The name's Lucia." Hm, the bidding didn't say anything about meeting someone in all black, not that she really cared but still. "So... Riley... Tell me about you" she told him, placing her hands at her hips. She needed to know about him before deciding what to do with him! ...Especially about fire... she desperately needed to know if he liked fire or not. "How much of a bad boy are you?" That was what the bid said, right? Well... Lucia would find out soon enough. He didn't look the part though, the clothes, egh a bit, but his face and style... not that much. Not to her anyways.
