 "You're right, I'll be seeing plenty of it so why get excited now? I guess I can be a little too spontaneous sometimes," Rhaplanca resumed walking and took the lead.

Ishira dropped his head and frowned. He reached out and firmly grabbed Rhaplanca's wrist, "Don't do that," he loosened his grip, "If it means stopping at every flower until you are content, even if it takes weeks, I'd do just to keep that frown away," his arm dropped back to his side, "I will happily tell you everything about this world if you only ask," he walked over to a bed of flowers and plucked one, returning to Rhaplanca with it, "This is a Butterfly Bell," he said as he showed Rhaplanca the pale purple flower that looked like a bell, "Butterflies favor this flower, and so do I. There's nothing else like it. Here look," he delicately pinched the where the flower met the stem and a little gold and black butterfly crawled out, spread it's wings and took flight, "The butterflies pollinate the flower and these little things inside the flower," he said carefully opened the bloom to show the stamen, "after drawing in the light of the sun all day can glow faintly after dark. It's really impressive in a bed of them," Ishira remarked as he gently tucked the flower behind Rhaplanca's ear. I barely got to know her, and already I feel a connection. So I swear from this day to always make her smile...

Rhaplanca's stride abruptly stopped from Ishira's grip.
 "Ah-hey?!" her voice quivered with surprize until Ishira's kind voice caught her off guard. She watched as he brought her a flower and explained it as his favorite and her face lit up at the sight of a butterfly.
 "It's so pretty. I've seen one before in the gardens at home, but they are so rare at that altitude, and not as pretty as this one," she watched as it flew away, her attention redirecting at the peculiar ability of the flower, "Oh wow, I'd love to see that..."
"Um.." she blushed when Ishira placed the flower behind her ear.

"We can stay the night in Ce Palym. I'll show you then, ok?" he grinned, "C'mon lets go he said as he took the lead and continued down a beaten path. At a clearing he noticed a small yellow beast, Yue started to growl softly from Rhaplanca's shoulders, his body trembling. Ishira held a hand out in front of Rhaplanca when the small creature turned to them. A cute call sounded from the little beast, "Nyo?" Ishira quietly warned Rhaplanca, "Don't move."

 "For what? That pipsqueak?" Rhaplanca obeyed despite her disbelief because of Yue's raw contempt for the other beast.

"A wild beast is a wild beast, regardless of it's appearance," he explained, "That is a Nyo? they travel in packs. Anything to startle it will cause it to call for it's pack," Ishira was hoping it would just leave but he kept a hand close to the staff on his back just in case.

Ishira shook his head, "No it IS a Nyo?. You say it like that because of their unique call," he elaborated. As if to respond to Ishira the Nyo? called out loudly. In a moment a group of them were collected in the clearing. They all called "Nyo?" while brandishing their uncurled tails. Ishira grabbed his staff and twirled it to his front in a solid movement, "Stay behind me," he said as one Nyo? jumped at him. Ishira batted it away. It landed roughly and skidded in the dirt only to get up and wag it's tail and dust it's self with rejuvenating sparkle, "They heal fast," he said remaining in a defensive stance in front of Rhaplanca.

"Calculating enemies," Rhaplanca raised her hands above her head and locked her hands together, "Directing fire."
"Yea~! Wee ki ga sarla mea sor rol keenis sheak/.
Was wol gagis gyuss lir/."
As Rhaplanca chanted a growing sphere of golden light formed above her, "Opening fire upon targets," Rhaplanca stepped one foot foward and brought her hands down to her sides in a bow. The song magic was released and it came crashing down on all targets. When the light dissipated their were no survivors and no evidence and surprisingly no damage to the terrain.
"Annihilation confirmed," Rhaplanca stood up straight and ran a hand through her hair, "Like I said pipsqueaks," Yue flew to confirm the dismissal of the Nyo? himself by sniffing the ground. He gave the 'all clear', "Nyuu!" and resumed his place on Rhaplanca's shoulder.

Ishira jumped at Rhaplanca's sudden monotone from surprise, "No need to count them there's more than a dozen, but don't worry I'll protect you," He said over his shoulder. Ishira drew his staff close to prepare until Rhaplanca's next words threw him off character, "Directing what?" he looked behind him to see Rhaplanca singing a ball of light to life, "Opening fire?! No wait I'm too close to you!" Ishira ducked and hit the ground for cover. When the flash ended he realize that the attacks path was no where near hitting him, "Heh heh," he stood wobbly, "You got all of them..." Yue confirmed. Ishira placed a hand over his heart, "I thought I was done for there. I didn't know where it was going to fire from," he sighed with relief, "You know I've never dealt with song magic before, couldn't you cut me some slack. Trust me I'd have taken care of them for you with my own tactics," He frowned.

"It's not about who could have handled it on their own, it is a Reyvateil's duty to assist in battles. I serve to make your battles easier," she said with a puzzled expression, "We are a partnership, we look out for each other,"
"Or you could think of it as payback for the Frozen Eye," Rhaplanca gave her best impression of Ishira with her hands on her hips: "Right, sorry about that. The first time isn't so fun. I'll be sure to take better care of you next time," she winked.
She laughed histerically, "You should have seen your face!"

Ishira blushed at the word 'partners' and his face quickly grew redder from her impression of him, "Oh right," he squawked then admitted defeat with a sigh, "Ok we're even. I didn't expect song magic to be so powerful. My Teru magic couldn't attack that many enemies at once," he felt embarrassed, "If you're so strong why did you need a vanguard in the first place?" he wondered.

"More vanguards?" he looked surprised, "So then there may be actual people interfering with our mission, I'm not just an escort?" Ishira began to lead Rhaplanca onward down the trail.

"It is a good possibility. One that I will use ever precaution I must," Rhaplanca was wary of her steps now that the path was infiltrated with roots from large trees.
