Yes it would, which is why I pick things that would be up for multi-discussions (I.e.: the artist's corner for art/pricing art, any form of art like music/graphics/drawing)

A few ideas
-For the Ball-
I'm drawing a bit of a blank but how about a few ideas far a theme?
Masquerade
Black and White
Fire and Ice
Something dealing with the Seasons
Fairytale
Vampire
Peasants Ball
A night in Paris...
Do a Decades thing. "A trip back to the 70's, 80's, 90s"

I likes the masquerade idea for the ball. We did that for the Military Ball at school this year. : D

we should have a halloween ball.[during halloween]
or a nerd ball [where you dress like a nerd, since school is starting for most ppl]
[in towns or a house]
it would b fun and it would be like a ice breaker for some new people.

If so, have you tried a variety of them such as art auctions, tektek contest, story contests, random generated number OR dice contest (these two would have to take place in your thread, of course.) but it would be a nice and simple way for people to win maybe like 5k or something? It is not a lot, but it is something! And, it would help them towards their quest.
