Indeed I agree with Niphs, the idea that politicians want to take over land in other countries for their own self gain is way out there. Lets take a look at the USA in Iraq, rumors of it being for oil? From the looks of things the usa gas prices have been going up too. You'll have to bring us a source to back it up.
Source. It may seem that Canada is paying less, but it's $0.98 per litter? So 4 litters in a gallion.. -Doesn't recall the conversion-
But here are charts to back it up.
With the gas prices increasing who is that hurting? Everyone.'
Anyways back on topic. 10% of everyone's equality? Let see.. 10,000,000 equality, 10% lost= $1,000,000 Mean while someone with a 5,000 equality= $500.. Eh.. Most of us would be pissed to lose that much money, and politicans that want to do such things will not have an easy time in office, I'm sure if I'd end up losing $500 a year or more I'd wouldn't vote for them.
Incase you haven't noticed other countries have other methods to gain money for goverment usage. Eh.. I think you should do more research on the USA's goverment before sugguesting that should try socailism.. True the country isn't perfect and never will be but like Niph pointed out it has more benifits than other countries like Somali. If the goverment was 100% useless than it would be odd that we'd have thounsands of immigrants yearly and students coming to study here.
Well, if incase you're wondering about some ways the usa goverment gains money from citizens. Most of us that work have to pay income tax here.. In the end some of us can gain money back after filling our reports.
Another question, why are you just targeting the usa? Why not question the country you live in? ;D

@Raoiga - I thought you'd just accused the gov't of being greedy and corrupt..? Self-contradiction, perhaps? And do you not realise that even if this money were in gov't hands, it would still be worth less and so they can do less with it?
Research and common sense, m'dear.

I don't get what your pointing at. If you ask me a question, I'll answer. I won't tell you where I live though.

Raioga~ Hm.. I was not asking where you lived.
Simple to say. Why are you picking on the usa goverment? When you haven't done any research? confused
This debate is leading no where since you haven't been able to back up any of your arugements with any sources.

I see.. The russian based sites seem to hold strong bias against the usa and the crediblitiy is questionable.
ninja You might want to answer Niph's question.

Aren't the russian sites still controlled by former Soviet Union hacks? If so, they'll obviously still try to discredit the USA.

XShadowMistressX Wikipedia might not be that credible considering anyone can edit it though. Wikipedia is okay... They have large modrating team that constantly monitors the credibility of the changes submitted by users. biggrin And most of the major articles are there are very credible with all the biblographies and stuff. razz

There's bias in all newspapers.. and of course, you have to compare the general spectrum, not just specific media groups.. obviously, if you compare what is (in the UK) considered quite a neutral paper - take, I dunno, The Times - to something like, let's say, Fox News, then you'll come to the conclusion that British papers are less biased. And they may well be, but you can't base it on random examples.. or just make a general claim with no backup.

I will. Soon!
What would you do in Chechnya if you were in charge? Do you think people wouldn't disappear anymore? Why should the government let people disappear?
