Casper sort of ignored Luna, but herd what she said nonetheless. Movies turned out to be a great distraction from blood...personally Casper thought he was doing quite well.
Until blood started appearing all over the ******** screen. It was all over the floor...ooh and on the windshield. The fact that he saw people being killed too wasn't helping. This had been a total lapse in judgement. It was making him not only want blood, but to kill someone...then drink that person's blood.
Well...blood was in the fridge right? NO! Wait! He was being anorexic! Yeah.
Casper continued to watch the movie...until he started feeling that same pull from yesterday. Wow he wanted blood...badly. But that would be giving in...But, just a taste.
Casper got up silently and used his vampire speed to get to the kitchen faster than anyone could blink. He opened the fridge and saw it in it's glory, the pitcher. Damn he was excited! He was so frazzled and eager, Casper dropped the blood all over the floor!
"s**t"
But it was no issue!
He got on his hands and knees and delicately sniffed the blood. It was intoxicating. He hummed closing his eyes and dipped his head down to lap up the blood like a cat put in front of a milk bowel. He moved over the puddle and slurped up the blood rhythmically. He bobbed his head and closed his eyes. His bliss was written all over his face. It didn't matter that he was licking something off the floor, Casper was in heaven! Something inside him was just all warm and fuzzy, and churning and then he realized...that fuzzy feeling..was in his groin.
Was this really...turning him on? He'd established that drinking from the source had made him sort of in the mood...but lapping up cold blood? Did that really arouse him?
Apparently so, because like some professional gay porn star, Casper arched his back and moaned lowly as he panted and slurped. It was like he had lost all control. He wasn't even really thinking about what was happen, he was just groaning and licking, lapping and moaning.
He stopped suddenly, his head jerking up as he herd the far off sound of foot steps. He sniffed like a police dog and strained his ears for more volume. There it was, the even pit pat of sneakers on carpet. But, where was that coming from? Casper's vision went inferred and he could see through at least five walls and into the complex hallway. Someone, some boy, was walking down the hall, toward Luna's door even.
Casper jolted up. He herd the heart beat, and the slish slosh of blood entering the aorta and into the pulmonary artery. He hummed again. He wanted to take that slish slosh for himself.
And then, like a godsend, there it was.
A knock on the door. Casper was at the door before a second even thought to pass. He wiped his face on his sleeve and opened the door.
"Oh Luna, I was just....you're not Luna."
Casper smiled, killer instinct taking over.
"I'm sorry...I didn't know she was seeing someone or-"
"Oh, I'm not her boyfriend." Casper said easily, his lips pulling up into a smirk.
"Oh well..then who are you?"
"I'm her brother." Casper could lie like there was no tomorrow.
"That's funny you don't look anything alike." The boy said suspiciously.
"I was adopted."
"Oh"
"Won't you come in?" He said opened the door fully.
And just as planned, the poor human boy walked into the condo.

Luna turned on the couch at the sound of Casper's moan in the kitchen. When she heard it again her eyes slowly opened and she yawned, stretching out only to find that Casper was now gone.
Which explained the noise she had heard. He must have found the blood, thing was she could smell it. A lot of it. What the hell? Did he... he better not have broken another one of her glasses!! She stood up when she heard the knock on the door and was surprised to suddenly hear Casper's voice there immediately. She walked quickly towards the entryway, only to see Casper ushering the boy in.
"Lucas," she said cheerfully, steeping into the hallway and giving Casper a look that said cut it out when Lucas wasn't looking. "What brings you here?" she asked with a smile.

Wait Luna was here? Casper didn't want to share any blood with her! He wanted to eat this Lucas fellow all by himself!
So he had a sharing problem...it wasn't anything he couldn't handle!
Casper was getting kind of...twitchy. His fingers were moving frantically against his thighs and he was just itching to do something.
Lucas, thankfully, only had eyes for Luna.
"Luna! I was just wondering, actually, could I ask you something in private?"
Private? Um, no, Casper had something to say about that. But how could he get what he wanted right now? He was practically drooling! He needed this guy's blood and he needed it NOW! But Luna, oh Luna. She was preventing him from getting what he needed. She was antagonizing him, she was watching him....
But wait, maybe he could outsmart her. She would be expecting a vampire assault from him. He would in theory go for the man's neck, with his teeth or hands. He'd do it quickly and probably from behind right. That was what vampires always did. That was how they fed...but maybe, he could go against the norm...confuse Luna and get to the guy in a different way.
"Okay, I'll be in the kitchen." He said and turned around.
Casper...didn't turn around for long though. Before he had a time to realize what he was doing, Casper had flipped his body and landed and flying, spiraling round house kick to poor Lucas' chest.
That, combined with vampire strength, shattered every rib in the man's body.

Luna watched Casper as he twitched, her eyes narrowing at him slightly before she turned her attention back to Lucas. "Oh, uhm... sure." she said, then Casper made to leave for the kitchen...
Or at least that was what she thought he did. Instead, he turned and kicked poor Lucas in the chest. She could hear the sound of breaking and saw the look of shock on the poor boys face.
Her eyes widened and her mouth hung open for a second before she looked at Casper, appalled. "You can't kill people in my house!!!!" she yelled at him, growling as her fangs popped right out. It didn't matter if Lucas saw, he was dying anyways, one of his ribs had punctured his lung and the sound of gurgling blood could be heard as well as the fact that his heartbeat was erratic, yet slowing.
She took a step towards Casper fangs barred and she felt ready to attack him before she took a deep shuddering breath and turned away. She wouldn't do that... She wasn't going to hurt someone, violence was not the answer here. Instead she told him the same thing her Sire had told her when she did something wrong "You really disappoint me Casper." she said, closing the front door and leaving the newborn to his meal.

Ah ha! Success! Flying roundhouse never failed!
He was pretty damn pleased with himself...until, well until a vampiress came at him yelling and baring her fangs. Instinctually Casper barred his fangs and growled right back. At this point, he wasn't even a little bit human. He wasn't feeling compassion and he could no longer access the situation in a rational, human like way. He was very much so a predator right now, thus, he behaved as such.
The fact that Luna became calm so quickly didn't do much to unnerve Casper who was occupied with the gurgling sound of blood clotting. He herd her words, but his brain was telling him he didn't care what she thought. His brain was telling him he shouldn't think about anything but how close he was to getting blood.
Luna left, and Casper was straddling the dying man. Casper's fangs were out and visible. Lucas was wheezing and too weak to even scream. Blood had sputtered up and spilled out of the human's mouth on impact. It definitely wasn't a pretty sight.
Casper dipped his head and licked the warm blood off Lucas' lips. He didn't even register that he was practically french kissing the boy as he dove his tongue into the human's mouth to collect the blood. Casper was entranced. He wasn't seeing reality, or feeling it. He was just feeding, and relishing in the power he had over the living.
The vampire opened his mouth wide and cut though skin and tissue to get to the river of blood in Lucas' neck. He pressed his whole body against his fallen prey and groaned in pleasure as he was filled with the life liquid.
Lucas was wheezing, and breathing harshly trying to scream but to no avail. Casper just kept drinking, kept being filled. It was delicious, and the weakening heart beating lowly beneath Casper's collar bone was so alluring it was hard to keep himself from ripping open Lucas' chest and seeing the muscle live.
Lucas, did manage to get one tiny, hoarse word out though. It was quite, and pitiful, but it was there. "Help", he whispered, "help."
That was the trigger. Help. Something Casper had herd too many times in his life. Help, the word that made him run into ally ways, the word that made him jump off of buildings, the word that made him risk his life...help.
He always came to the rescue when someone screamed help. He always fought off monsters and made people safe again, but now...he was on the opposite side of the spectrum. He was the one...he was the, monster.
It snapped Casper right out of his trance. He tore his fangs out of the human's neck and blinked frantically, shocked at where he was. Casper looked down and saw Lucas' eyes struggling to keep open. The heart beat filling the room was quieting and he could here a long pause between each inhale Lucas made.
"Hey," He said, strangled sort of. "wake up." No answer. "Hey, breathe." He said patting Lucas' cheek. "Come one, stay awake...stay awake." He said shakily tossing the man's head around. "Lucas?" No answer.
"Help!" Casper cried looking around frantically. This was his fault. This was his fault! "Luna!" Casper looked down at Lucas and herd the man stop breathing. He still herd a heart beat but the breathing was dead. Casper, shouted desperately again. "Call 911!"
Casper lowered his head, pinched Lucas's nose closed and put his mouth over the humans'. He breathed into the man twice then looked up again.
"Get an ambulance, a hospital, something!" He lowered his head and breathed out two more rescue breaths.
"Help!" He screamed actually becoming hysterical. Casper was crying now, like actually crying. There were tears, and blubbering, and his CPR wasn't working at all!

Luna was sitting in the living room, hands clenched in her lap. One of her friends was dying... well, probably dead already. And she wouldn't be able to do a thing about it. Lucas had seen too much, even she knew that. And as much as she hated it. He would have to die, whether by Casper's hand or hers. Of course, she doubted she would have to kill him up until the point when Casper started screaming for help.
Which made Luna bolt out of the living room and into the entrance, clamping her hand over the newborns mouth. "No screaming, it will alert the neighbors." she said, her voice depressed as she looked down at Lucas, the humans eyes were closed and he was not longer breathing, his left lung was filled with blood and the right lung was trying desperately to compensate. But it wasn't any use it seemed, she could hear his heart beat slowing and eventually, it just stopped. She looked at the dead body and the large blood stain on her floor and sighed. "No more scary movies for you." she said softly to Casper and removed her hand, walking to the kitchen to get a mop and some towels to clean up the mess.

Casper could have sworn the world stopped when Lucas' heart did.
It was like, it wasn't like anything he'd ever experienced. This wasn't his first kill, but for some reason, this was so much worse.
Just so much worse.
Luna appeared with the mop and almost instantly, Casper broke down. It started off with a small, shattering breath, but turned into a body wracking sob. Casper lowered his chest to his thighs and cried violently. He covered his face and his his eyes. The sobs exploded from his body and he spit out words.
"I stopped!" He cried. "I stopped I swear! But- he-he," He couldn't finish, he wailed and shook. "I'm-Sor-ahh, I'm so sorry!" He sputtered thrashing his head around over the dead body.

Luna sighed and set the mop and towels down next to the now dead Lucas. She crouched down next to Casper and pulled him into a hug. She didn't know what else she could do for him. She couldn't tell him it was ok, because very clearly it wasn't. There was a dead guy on her floor now because of him and soon to be a bunch of vampire hunter's on her trail. "Look at me Casper." she cooed softly, trying to reassure him "You... you can't do this. You can't deprive yourself, this is what it leads to." she wouldn't let him kill himself, and his self destruction led to the destruction of others. Didn't this situation just suck?
"Please..." she said softly "Just try it, stop trying to hurt yourself and just trust me." she said, another of her sentences that didn't make much sense. What she meant was trust her to help him. "I'll stick with you, I'll help. But I need you to want it, I need you to cooperate Casper." yeah cause pushing a boulder uphill wasn't exactly progress.

He didn't get much comfort these days, that was usually his job...not now that he was getting some, he was taking it.
Casper leaned into Luna's embrace but didn't stop crying. He was just so, guilty, so ashamed.
"I just," He sobbed, "I just, I don't want to be a vampire!" He broke down further and lowered more against his legs and now Luna's arms. "I don't want to drink blood. I don't want to have fangs, I don't want to hurt people! I want a heart beat! I want to be human again! I want my apartment, and my grandma! I want my job and my life! I don't want to hurt people." He cried shaking powerfully. "But every time I see somebody, or smell somebody, I can't control myself."
Casper sputtered quietly and it was very clear how much this was taking it's toll on him.

Luna sighed and looked at him. She couldn't help him be human. He was a vampire now and nothing could change that. "You don't have to hurt people Casper." she said quietly. Living on donated blood was easy actually. As long as you kept yourself properly fed, you didn't have the urge to kill anyone. She wasn't sure just how different newborns were, but Casper seemed to have no self control at all.
"I just wish I could help you." she said, more to herself than to him.

"Look at me now, I'm a menace to society, and I'm crying in front of a girl." Luckily his sobs were quieting down and Casper started to regain his composure. He wiped the tears from his eyes and spat a little.
"Ugh, this sucks."
Lavinia had done her job right. Casper was falling apart and there was nothing he could even do about it. There was nothing anyone could do about it it seemed.
He stopped crying completely and exhaled deeply.
"I want to go outside." He said firmly. "But...I'm afraid of what I'll do." He hiccuped. That last thought almost got him crying again.
He closed his eyes tightly then opened them again.
"I don't know what I'm supposed to do."

Luna smiled at him, trying to reassure him at least somewhat. "You.. I can't let you go outside Casper..." yeah, not after what had happened. What she knew would happen on a larger scale if he left the house.
"You have to be patient Casper..." she said, he just needed to grow out of his newborn craziness... or at least she hoped it was newborn craziness. "...and stay away from society." she finished lamely.
What was she going to do with him?

Casper was just an oozing sore of misery. "But I like society." He muttered with so much sorrow it would probably make an emo kid want to give him a hug.
Casper exhaled and mumbled something incoherent. At this point he didn't even know what he was talking about. The whole situation was wearing him out. Not to mention his clothes were all covered in blood now too. Well, just some parts of his clothes anyway.
He ran his hands down his face and let them fall off his chin.
"What do we do with the body?" Usually Casper and his hunting parties would cremate the vampire corpses...but he and Luna didn't really have an incinerator.

Luna sighed, "For now I'll take him down to the basement. When it get's dark out I'll go get rid of it." she looked at Lucas sadly. She had really liked the guy. He was quiet the interesting human, although she never really cared for his advances in trying to get them into a relationship. any relationship she had was strictly with a vampire, someone who she wouldn't have to worry about asking questions.
She picked up Lucas, carrying the corpse bridal style down to the basement and setting his body down gingerly next to the washer and dryer. Then she came back upstairs and began to clean up the blood, first moping, then using the towels, and finally she got a scrubber with some solution that made all traces of the blood disappear completely. Once both the entrance way and the kitchen were cleaned up she sat down and looked at her now empty fridge. Yet another glass had been broken, she would have to explain why she needed another and then she would get reprimanded for taking in a newborn in the first place.

This was just, so horrible. Luna was off taking care of what was really his problem, so Casper was alone. He figured he'd at least clean himself up. He trudged up to the kitchen sink and threw water onto his face. He washed his blood covered hands and quickly took off his sweater. There was a blood stained, a blaring one at that on the collar and on the sleeves. Great.
It wasn't like he had many clothes at the moment...but really he didn't care. He had just killed someone, clothes didn't matter at all. He was just cleaning up to keep himself from going absolutely insane.
Casper took the liquid soap, smeared it on the stained areas and swirled the rough side of a sponge on the areas in little circles. Blood was really ******** hard to get out, Casper knew that much, but that didn't stop him at all.
