Suddenly, darkness covered Zakkons vision, blinding him completely. Noise akin to the wailing of one thousand banshees tore into his ears, and ripped through his brain. It took all of his self control to avoid throwing down his weapons, covering his ears, and just writhing in pain on the ground. He tried to cast a counter spell, but nothing was hapening.

"Silence as well," he thought, "that tricky b*****d." Zakkon had no way of knowing how long it would last, but for the short amount of time it had already been on for, the pain was already excruciating.

So he did the only thing he could think of. He sheathed both Daedric Shortblades, grabbed Kah, pulled him up, and pushed off him, using the momentum to hurl himself at where he remembered Maikau to be.

His only hope would be to interrupt the spell, maybe it would still fire, but there was always a chance that he could escape, no matter how improbable, it wasn't impossible for him to perhaps escape this alive.

Three Seconds... Thought Maikau, as Zakkon rammed into him. The spell was covered in electric bolts, but the shock power had not fully molded with the frost and flame sections of the orb. As such, most of them disappeared, weakening the orb's damage by almost a third.

His eyes shot open, and he looked at Zakkon. He knew what Kah had done to him, and knew that it would last long enough for him to cast a spell that would only add the the damage.

"Sindor," he muttered, as the orb flew out of his hands. Each spell was created to do fifty fire damage, fifty frost damage, and fifty shock damage, with a fifteen second duration. Unfortunately, the diration would only last ten seconds due to the lack of the last third, and the damage would be cut down considerably.

Nonetheless, Zakkon had made the mistake of hitting Maikau with his body. Now, he was less than a foot away, and dodging the orb would be nearly impossible.

The Blind, Sound and Silence wore off of Zakkon, just in time to see the spell fly towards him, orb shimmering with the triple might of Flame, Frost and Shock damage. He was too close, he couldn't complete his original plan of pushing off of Maikau, so that he'd have to deal with the effects of his own spell, and using the force of pushing off to jump off the edge of the boat.

As the spell was only inches from hitting Zakkon, he did the last thing he could think of. He said a quick prayer to Notre Dame De Mort, threw himself to the ground, and cast a quick protect against Shock, Flame and Frost damage, he only hoped that with the combination of the 50 points of Health from Heartwood, and the protection, he could survive the effects of the spell.

He only hoped that the goddess would protect him, and help him survive through this current predicament he was in.

( I'm sorry, the blindness couldn't have worn off. It lasts 20 seconds, and three seconds was left for sormani's spell, then I cast the blind ring, then you immediatly pushed off me, then Sormani's spell hits you, that would be 10 seconds at the most. Caught on a technicallity, but I will let it slide, because I'm just so nice like that.) cool

Kah saw the asassin on the ground, writhing in pain of the elements. Kah thought fast, then cast light into all of the corners of the ship. Then Eye of Night, a spell all khajiits have at birth. He started running throughout the ship, looking for a decoy, or the real asassin in the shadows. He reported back to maikau.
"No doubles that I could find sir, and I doubt he could have gotten away that fast." Said Kah as the effects of the spell started to fade. " I think your spell is wearing off."

"He'll run," replied Maikau calmly as he drank a restore magicka potion. "Ignore him. He has his ways of finding me, as I assume that he was after me. I'm sure we'll meet again. Of course, under the assumption that he tries to fight back, we're surrounded by an ocean that he can be drowned in," he spoke the last sentence loudly, to make sure that Zakkon heard him.

"Now, I'll assume that, by the course we're taking, we're headed toward either Solsthiem, or Morrowind. Since neither or you have any reason to go to Solsthiem, that I know of, it must be Morrowind. Possibly docking Ebonheart... Maybe Vivec? Going all the way around to Khuul would be a waste of time, and landing at Hla Oad or Ald Velothi would simply be stupid. If we're heading to Sadrith Mora, we would dock at Vivec and use the Guild Guide, so where is this bo- this ship, landing?"

"More than that, does anyone know how to navigate these waters? I'm sure the Captain's map was drenched in blood, and since he's dead, we don't have anyone to steer."

(Thank'ee for letting that slide. I thought it was 15 seconds? However, it still wouldn't've been enough time. As for Maikau's spell, that'd be 15 second duration there.)
((A wee bit long of a post there...))

Even with taking all the precautions he could, Zakkon hadn't seemed to make it. He was floating in a void, lit only very dimly by a covered source of light. Dark shapes flitted around him, hidden in the shroud of the shadows. In the distance he heard screams of agony, and he didn't feel any fear about where he'd ended up, only acceptance. He'd always figured that he'd be facing an eternity of suffering. Suddenly, a vision of excruciating beauty and power walked towards him, and he could only fall to his knees and praise her. His prayers had been heard, and his goddess had come.

He saw her reach him, and he stayed knelt at her feet. For agonizing seconds that only seemed to drag on, nothing happened. Finally, he looked up, and found himself averting his gaze, unable to look her directly in the face. She reached down her hand, and slightly caressed his cheek, leaving behind a slight ectoplasmic glow that seemed to shine off of her phosphorescently. Suddenly, she grabbed his face in both hands, and made him look straight into her eyes. The clouds covering the source of light dissipated as he looked into those radiant pools of amethyst that were her eyes. Quickly the light grew blindingly bright, but he didn't close his eyes, didn't have the will to tear them away for even a second from his Goddess' eyes. She opened her mouth, and in a voice of lovely soft silk, and a slight undertone of hideous death screams, pronounced, "As all are destined to join the spirits, you have come, however, there is much you must know.", she outlined for him a plan, and showed him what he had to achieve to complete her plan, "Remember Zakkon, the most important thing of all. Never trust a Khajit, for it's been seen that the second you do, you will fall. It's finally time for you to go though however. Now Zakkon, awaken, for it is not yet your time." Soon, the sun shone so brilliantly that she completely disappeared, and all that was left were her words, echoing in his head, and the faint smell of L'esprit de Mort and blood.

Zakkon opened his eyes and was blinded by the sun. He had no idea how long he'd been out for, but every inch of his body still throbbed with pain, and occasional traces of the electricity would cause him to spasmatically twitch on occasion. For now, he just sat there, attempting to think through the fog of pain, and remember the words to a Healing spell.

He gave up, knowing that there was no chance of him remembering with the agony and the words of Notre Dame De Mort still echoing in his head, attempting to become permanently ingrained. He just lay back, too injured to think, much less move, and had to count on the mercy of the fools that he'd been fighting.

Perhaps their morals and ethics would keep him alive long enough for him to escape somehow.

Arnix removed his axe from the now even more dismantled corpes of the captain "BASTERED" And he turned to walk out when dwerma traps were sprung. "DOUBLE BASTERED!" He began finding them and smashing them with his axe, "One, two, three, four, five........ s**t" Arnix fell to the floor, the poison had finally got to him. But just befor he blanked out, he felt the majic of Kah ring hand he burst out of the cabbin. "I'm begining to get pissed of with the Dwerma....."

"What the hell?" The words were out of Maikau's mouth like whisps of air, barely audible, even to him. He twisted, grasped the cloak that was still laying on the wooden deck in a pool of blood. The dark crimson liquid seemed to slide off the black garment, and left no stains as he slid the hood over his head.

"You two, deal with him! Do not, under any circumstances, kill him! He'll try to escape, I'm sure of it, but I have a problem to attend to."

He turned around, raised two of his hands, and muttered a single word, mark, and pointed his two open palms toward where he knew the Morrowind mainland was. He raised his hand so that he was pointed almost upward, and a faint, grey-blue orb fired out of his hand. He stood still for a few seconds, long after the orb had disappeared into the distance. Then, he uttered another word, and closed his eyes.

The darkness of his closed eyes was replaced by a transparent vision of Ebonheart, and Maikau's previously emotionless face transformed into a clever smile.

"Recall."

Then he was gone...

Zakkon watched, helpless as Maikau left, cloaked once again. His only thought was that Maikau was headed for Vvardenfell, and he marked that in his mind. He could get there easily enough, but for now he was stuck here on the ground. Though he could now move his limbs, his mind was still reeling, and much too chaotic and unfocused to be able to pull anything off.

However, even though he hated the cloaked one, and swore that he'd kill him, a small almost unnoticeable smile crossed his features. With that one gone, he was sure that his chances at survival were much improved.

Arnix looked around, after Maikau had vanished. "Dam Wizard, they always run when ever there own blood is spilt." He then noticed the bosmer on the ground writhering in pain. He walked over to him then kicked away his weapons. "Look Kah, a mighty Bosmer!" He laughed and bound him to the mast with chains and slave bracers.....

(Refresh my memory as to what slave bracers do again.)

Zakkon lay helpless as that damn Redguard walked up to him, after someone surviving the traps. He was dragged to the mask, his arms and legs waving limply as the nerves in them tried to follow his orders. He was taken to the ships main mast, and chained to it, while slave bracers were locked to his forearms. If only his mind would sort itself out. It'd gotten a bit better, but he still couldn't do anything. Being a thief before he became Deathblade, his skill in picking locks was astronomical, but amazingly worthless if his brain was too addled to move anypart of his body beyond his eyes and mouth.

For now, he would stay chained, stay as their prisoner. However, as his mind slowly cleared, and control once again became his, he would make them regret crossing him. First these two must die, then he would track down that damn Maikau, and discover new ways with which to inflict pain upon him.

Ebonheart was in ruins. Maikau recoiled from the heat as it hit him in waves, coming from the smoldering mortar ash of the stone walls, and the burning woon of the docks and boats. He flipped his hood off so that he could grasp the entire scene, though it was more of a formality than anything. He had no idea what could cause this amount of destruction. There wasn't a single building left standing, and the corpses in the streets told him that not even those unable to defend themselves had been spared from this massacre.

He ran to one of the guard's corpses immediately, noting all the wounds, and what weapons that they could have been caused by. The metal armor was melted in places, though with the fires, that was nothing special. His forehead and throat were slashed, and his arm was almost dismembered, hanging only by a loose flap of skin. Maikau had seen wounds like this before. Unfortunately, that didn't mean anything. He had never seen so many people killed in the same way. Even those incapable of fighting back had the same type of wounds, though some of them had extra cuts.

"All the guards are dead..." uttered Maikau, "That means that they intend to strike again. Had they wanted this attack to be known, they would have left a witness. Of course, these flames would make it easy to see from-"

He didn't finish the sentence. He tore off toward the east, and fired another ranged mark spell. He recalled, and arrived in Vivec...

"Arnix, what should I do with him, I think I should keep casting sound and silence spells just to keep him disoreiented, until we get somewhere, I'm going to search him for lockpicks, after a massive hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil." Kah cast the rings spell and watched the Bosmer writhe, he then searched his body and removed all his lockpicks that he could find, it was impossible for him to hide any.

"Arnix, watch out for any chants that he says, telekinesis can be a dangerous thing."

Zakkon was blasted by another Silence/Noise/Blind spell, though not as devestating as dieing had been, it still set him back quite aways in getting control of his mind again.

Once again, he had to lay helpless, and deal with their indignities, this time as one of them, judging by the hair paws, the Khajit, took all of his lockpicks. However, if only his head would clear, he could still escape.
