With a sigh, Astalder shook his head as he listened to Thanos. He shot a glance at the one on his back, to the one fighting the knights. The dragon didn't hear any panicked thoughts or get that 'fight or flight' sensation. Basically he just felt his bond in a fairly relaxed or neutral state.

"Thanos, if Blade is really in that body, why isn't he backing up your story?" replied Astalder before grumbling and rushing after Thanos to try and scoop him up, "Not so fast. Rushing into a fight isn't exactly a good idea for a hatchling."

The white haired man narrowed his eyes as the two came after him. He appreciated Thanos's attempts, but it'd probably take more than words to calm the beast here. The human he could easily handle a charge... the dragon not so much. Perhaps if he focused his offense towards the bound, this would be easier. The light reflecting off of the human's shield made it hard to see, so as the two came rushing right at him, he tried to shift to the side of the human and made a swing at his legs while he was at it, hoping to trip the guy into the dragon's path.

The elder dragon at the ward was lying in front of the entrance to where Rushia was. He looked asleep, but in reality he was deep in a semi-trance, his consciousness firmly fixed on what his Bound was doing. It was as close to being one person as the two could get, with both minds fixed on the task the human was doing. Despite the dragon's wild rambling about a white-haired human, they had started the process to heal her wings. He had a few helpers, also human, cleaning up the blood from the first step of removing the burned skin. Now he stood there, his dragon seeing through his eyes and the two of them exchanged observations and information faster than speech ever could.

'Regrowth is too slow-'

'Dragon-magic isn't precise enough-'

'-make it precise, then.'

"I'm TRYING!" the human finally snapped, this time out-loud. His dragon stirred in response, still not breaking the trance though. The human shook his head and tried to regain his calm. They were essentially jump-starting the growth of wing tissue on the sleeping dragon but it was too slow. She'd wake up and they'd have to abandon the healing and hope they had done enough that the wings would heal naturally. Neither of the pair wanted to admit that there just wasn't enough wing left to work with.

The sleeping potion only worked for a couple hours at a time. The human and dragon pair reluctantly abandoned their efforts, exhausted. By that time, Fam had swung around again to report that Padar was still out looking on their wild goose hunt. She was immediately drafted to look over Rushia until she woke up, as both dragon and human needed to rest. So the Steward waited with Rushia, grumbling about being bossed around again, as the potion wore off. The younger dragon had to admit, for what the healer pair had to work with, they'd done an impressive job. Almost all of the lost wing had been repaired, though the membrane was almost translucent, the tiny network of veins plainly visible. It'd thicken up over time but until then, it would tear at the slightest breeze.

Thanos finally realized what was going on: somehow, the man had left enough trace of Blade in the body on Astalder's back that it was fooling the dragon into thinking Blade was really there. "What am I supposed to do?" he screamed at the figure on Astalder's back, as the dragon scooped him up. "You...you beast! What do you expect me to do? No one will listen to me." Frustration cracked the dragonet's voice as he howled, "Why don't you do something!"

The memory Thanos tried to provide to the dragon knight seemed to reach dead air as neither the knight or his bound faltered in their movements as they converged on their unfortunate target.

The knight-bound's shield came down low, deflecting the staff to the side, while the knight's sword came over top with a side cut aimed at the man's now open upper arm. The dragon itself came up just short of the man's backside and snapped his jaws at the air just behind him, pinning him in the area between bound and dragon knight.

The white haired man let out a small cry as the knight's sword slashed across his arm. Being in a different body didn't stop the pain at all; that was certain. If that wasn't bad enough, he now was sandwiched between the two.

He tried to call forth some magic to help him out, but no flames were produced at all.

Gritting his teeth, he gripped onto the staff with his good arm and tried to knock the knight's sword aside before attempting to jab the dragon in the eye or face with the back end of the staff.

Astalder stared at the hatchling in his claws, wondering if he had gone mad or something along those lines.

"Calm down Thanos!" he hissed while beginning to back away to keep the young one away from the fray. He didn't know what got into the kid, but if the white haired one did host his bound's soul.. .then why didn't he feel any pain just now?

-Rushia budge by licking the dryness from her mouth she took a few moments breath before deciding to open her eyes and gaze around a bit, almost afraid to move she thought she recognize Fam but waited for her eyes to just before she said anything.-

"Hey.." -she slightly smiled as she was uneasy about being in the ward.-

Blade who is not Blade glanced at Astalder and his efforts to control the young dragon.

"Maybe he inherited his father's madness," he commented dryly.

----------

Fam brightened as Rushia stirred. At least she'd have someone to talk to now. It was a bit creepy watching over a sleeping dragon in the ward, which was already unnaturally quiet in her mind. Their kind weren't exactly into physical closeness, not with territorial instincts built in.

"Hi! The healers said to stay still. Your wings are very, very fragile right now and they don't want you to damage them. You should be able to fly though, once you find a Bound, though they said the damage isn't fully repaired and you'll have difficulty with all but simple flights."

-Rushia staied still and with calm tone-
"Would you want to be stuck with just the simple flights?"

-she was finding it difficult to stay still, normally she would just rest. probably the fact she wasn't tired any more and the closed in area that made her feel a little stir crazy, She then was determin about one thing though.-

"Did the White hair human show, did Thanos find him?"-she said in a normal tone that had no rushness to it.-

-wanting the confirmation that she wasn't just disregarded as a fool just dreaming rested on her mind as she just replaied what she saw, she almost wanted to look deeper in his eyes.-

"I don't know," Fam replied, "I don't have a Bound yet so I can't fly. If you ever get offered a Steward necklace, don't take it without a Bound. Else you'll never get out of this rock and... sorry."

She cut herself off from launching into a tirade. Rushia didn't need to hear about her woes.

"Anyway, I haven't heard back from Padar - he's a Knight - yet and I think he's still out searching the area. Knights keep their word. But how did you hear about him! I've only heard wild rumors."

-She looked at Fam from where she was laying down at and had a thoughtful smile-
"Don't apologize, it's good to talk I don't mind really."

-She then thought about what was just said.-
"Well, you know how you have dreams that are so real that they are not."
-She paused in thought-
"Then you have reality that is so unreal that it isn't."

"I just know I was told I could not fly even if the wings were repaired, and I had only seconds to do so to request for the white hair man, for a possibility that I will again."

-She thought how farlandish this sounded but it was the best way she could explain it. All she went through, something she never worried about, loseing her flight in such a manner. To others actually careing and this mess of trying to get her flight back. It was a fight, and she was starting to feel pretty darn determine to get it back.-

The knight-bound made an effortless step back, the staff passing through air before swinging around to its next target. There was a clang of metal as Padar circled back around to the front, blocking the view of the battle from the other three watchers.

Just outside the dragon knight's silhouette, the tip of a sword blade could be seen swinging down followed by a thud on the grass and a wooden staff rolling out into the open.

Padar turned his head to frown at Astalder, not wishing the little one to be present for all this. 'Head back to Gen'yiel. We will be following shortly. Drag the little one back if you must.'

Being surrounded like this and with a weapon he wasn't really all that proficient with, it was inevitable that the man would end up falling. A grunt escaped his lips before he landed onto the ground with a thud.

Nodding to the Knight, Astalder looked down at Thanos with a sigh while mentally agreeing with what 'Blade' said about inheriting his father's madness. He glanced once more at the fray, noting that it seemed to have ended. Though with the dragon in the way, he couldn't really see much. Again, he felt no pain or anything that would signify that his bound was in any sort of danger.

"Come on Thanos," he said quietly as he started to try and walk away with the hatchling. He figured it'd be safer to walk a short distance away before taking wing again, should the winds get out of control once more.

((unavoidable OOC comment: Sad little Thanos crying ))

In his mind, Thanos fumed at this insult. He knew, though, that there was no longer anything he could do. The fact that he had now been deemed insane stung his heart like a hundred hornets. Not only had he failed to avert the tragedy, he had now lost all credibility, and would likely be powerless for the rest of his life. With the weight of this knowledge pressing into him, Thanos simply went limp in Astalder's claws, putting up no resistance to being carried away.

Fam had listened to Rushia's explanation in interest. She sat and thought for a moment, but before she could say anything someone was calling her name. The Steward ducked out, exchanged a few words, and then ducked back in.

"Stay here and don't move those wings much!" she said urgently, "They found your white-haired savior! I need to go find out what happened, as the Knights have claimed him as a prisoner... and... and... well... I gotta go find out what's going on. Try to rest!"

And after that flurry of excitement Fam was gone, running through the halls of Gen'yiel.

-----------------

Blade was quiet for the flight back to Gen'yiel. He didn't really look much at Astalder and Thanos, not even when they landed and he stood a pace apart. There was a light touch on the dragon's mind as Blade used the link between the two to remember something.

"Astalder," he said carefully, "Wasn't there a wounded dragon back at the ward? How about we go check on her until we hear what happened from the knights."

---------------

Hammand stared at the human, scratching his head absently. He held his helm under one arm and didn't seem too concerned by the white haired man at his feet, bound with shackles that would contain any magical ability. Padar had made his report and Lierce had sent him out to ascertain any threat before bringing the prisoner in to Gen'yiel.

"Well," he finally said, "I am honestly not sure what to make of this. We can't do much here if he's not talking. Go ahead and take him back to Gen'yiel. Lierce will have some guards to meet you and imprison him until we know what to do."

Thankfully the hatchling hadn't been fidgety as they flew back to Gen'yiel. Once they had arrived, he gently set down Thanos before glancing over at his 'bond'.

"Yeah there was. Her wings were pretty messed up if I recall correctly," he recalled before nodding and making his way towards the infirmary. Astalder paused momentarily to see if the fallen hatchling was coming along as well.

"You should probably come with us for now."

---

The white haired man was rather motionless while he was bound. The blow to the head he had taken was pretty solid so he was likely to be unconscious for a little longer. Most likely he would reawaken by the time they reached Gen'yiel however.
