Yey, the announcement made me happy~ I'm really glad people have started to care about this guild again!
As for ideas for getting active people... does this guild have a list of other guilds that it is affiliated with? If not, that could help, at least for breathing new life into the guild. Hopefully new members would be active.
Aaaand... since I suggested the idea, I would be happy to affiliate this guild with my guild (The Official DNAngel Guild), and I could suggest to the captain of the Drizzt Do'Urden guild that we affiliate (I'm a VC there). 3nodding
Also, I think that guild announcement itself might get some older members to come back. And maybe making a thread to promote the guild in the Guilds Subforum could help.
Events do work in some cases, but the only problem is that if a lot of the old members don't even go on Gaia anymore, then events can really just be a strain on the crew and the guild's savings. I've learned that from experience.
EDIT - I just read back a couple of pages... is there not enough gold in the guild funds to make new subforums? A random chatter subforum probably would be useful, after all.

As for the actual implementation of events...ooh, we do need help on that end. sweatdrop We don't have anything to offer up as contest prizes. the random chat thread should be in the chatterbox sub-forum, since it has a lot of other topics besides golden sun.

Azura Cantarella We don't exactly have affiliates, but I guess we could give that a shot. The guild does have a link list, but that's not quite the same. Hmm. I think that thread needs some revamping too. Yeah... the link list idea is great, as a resource for people who want to look up stuff... but don't feel like searching on Google. On the other hand, that particular thread isn't very good anymore simply because Cowpuppy is gone (right...?). I know you can still edit those posts, but it might still be better just to make a new thread altogether. Aaaand, you could combine the affiliates and the link list into one thread, to make it all nice and neat! Quote: YES. They can be used for everything, pretty much, just by making it a VC. As for gold-getting for prizes, I find that booty grab is the best way to make a little gold. Just get someone with a decent computer speed to go in the GA forum with the mule for half an hour whenever possible and grab like crazy. Also, on that note, a booty grab thread for people to post their tanks in in the Random Chatter subforum could be useful. Quote: There is enough for a few more subforums. On another note - I really hope I'm not coming off negatively at all. I'm just eager to offer advice because I really want to see this guild flourish again. It used to be so great!
