Jade shook her head at Kiyoko, offering a smile. "No no of course not! Have some faith in me alright? Gentlemen, why don't we take this to my office?" She started to walk towards said office, wanting to finish this conversation in peace and private.

Blade nodded and followed. This Zane intrigued him, his theory on survival of the fittest is in fact true. He knew this especially because of the fact that it works in the insect world as well.

Exit to Tsuchikage's office

Tosatsu stared as the people walked away. 'Wonder what that was about' He thought. Shaking it from his mind he walked over to Kiyoko, nodding to what she said. "Alright, what should we try next?" He asked, not really sure what to pick. He still had a few genjutsu in his book, and she had given a good list. Pulling the books out of his pack again he handed the to Kiyoko, he'd let her choose.


The genjutsu book had a short list of jutsu, it was mostly filled with suggestions for how to use them, and tips on making it easier. It contained: Ikamono Chishio (Fake blood), Doro Bunshin no Jutsu (Mud Clone Skill), Kyuukai Nikutai Oshuu no Jutsu (Rotting Flesh Foul Smell Technique) and Magen: Kokuni Arazu No Jutsu (Demonic Illusion: False Surroundings. And then there were still the jutsu in the book she had gotten for him.

"Dust clone it is then." Tosatsu said, re-pocketing his genjutsu book. Flipping through the ninjutsu book to find the clone, he stopped and read it for a bit. "Seems easy enough." He finally said, setting the book aside.

Grabbing his staff off of his back, he slashed the tip across the ground between himself and Kiyoko kicking up a cloud of dust. Propping the staff against his shoulder he ran through the seals quickly, executing the jutsu while the cloud was at it's peak.

A person watching from Kiyoko's point of view would see the cloud kick up blocking Tosatsu from sight entirely, and then a hand seemed to grow from the dust, grasping outwards. Moments later the face came too, the points where it's eyes and mouth should have been hollow and wide, the dust cloud pulling away behind it's bald head. It was as if a wraith was ripping it's way out of the dust, then it was joined by another, and another, reaching, grasping for something outside of the cloud. And then it was over, the clones completed, they were colored properly, and looked exactly like Tosatsu. Brown hair hanging slightly over the ears, baggy comfortable cargo pants, long sleeved shirt with wide cuffs. Not a sign of the monsters they seemed to be. Though they also mimicked his face, with a mischievous twinkle in the eye. The dust settled around the clones, revealing Tosatsu once more.

"Pebble barrage..." Tosatsu muttered, picking up the book and flipping through it till he found the jutsu. "Hm, lift and toss, seems simple enough." He said, mostly to himself. Setting his staff on the ground to get it out of the way, and the book on top of it, he stood up and prepared to try the jutsu.

On a second thought however, he stopped, and waved at the clones. "Hey, go over there!" He yelled at them, gesturing to the side.

The clones quickly complied, apparently being a clone doesn't leave much self awareness. As that occured to Tosatsu, he almost felt regret for what he was about to do. But no. He didn't really care. After running through the hand seals for this new jutsu, he stomped on the ground. The stomp was just for theatrics really, as it didn't actually do anything, but the chakra he shot across the ground in front of him through it did.

In front of him a large number of pebbles began to rise into the air, floating there until there was a small wall of pebbles in front of him. Pulling his right hand back behind him with his left covering it, and twisting his body around a bit, he shot his fist forward, punching the air in front of him. As if in response to the punch, the pebbles all shot forward, flying towards the unfortunate clones.

The instant the barrage hit the clones, the area around them exploded into a cloud of dust even bigger than the one they were formed from. Luckily, Tosatsu had sent the clones a good distance, and the dust wouldn't reach them.

Tosatsu smiled, despite the unfortunate death of his faithful clones, he had enjoyed that. Oh, the theatrics weren't necessary, but they definitely made the jutsu more fun.

Heading back to where he had left his book, Tosatsu glanced through it for the jutsu named. "Oh my." He said upon finding it. "That's a bit more complicated. Still pretty basic though." He said, a bit wary of this one. Sinking yourself below the earth could be dangerous, especially if you messed up and got stuck.

Running through the seals he concentrated his chakra the way the book said to, and suddenly found himself enveloped in darkness. Almost panicking for a moment, thinking he had made himself go blind, he realized that he could smell earth, which must mean he was underground. 'Okay, what did it say about how to tell where you are?' He questioned himself. 'I'm gonna rot in the ground, aren't I?'

About that time he realized that he hadn't done the jutsu completely, having left out the last seals when it went black. Completing the seals he was relieved to find he was able to 'see'. It was strange, he could see, yet he couldn't. It was as if the earth was made of muddy glass. He couldn't see, but he could tell where everything was.

Deciding it was time to get back on the surface, he slowly rose from the ground, right in front of Kiyoko, walking out as if he were on a flight of stairs. all of a sudden he lost concentration, and the earth seemed to seal in around him. So there he was, waist deep in solid rock. He couldn't even move his hands to redo the jutsu, because they were sealed just under the earth. "Great... A little help?" He asked with a sigh, looking at Kiyoko.

Tosatsu sighed as he took Kiyoko's hand and pulled himself out. Did it really have to be sand? He was not looking forward to the rest of the day with sand in his clothing. With another sigh he sat down against the boulder and pulled his shoes off, emptying them out. "Thanks, I guess." He said to the girl, watching the pile of sand at his feet grow. "So!" He suddenly spoke out. "I'm beginning to notice none of these techniques are all that battle worthy, other than in specific situations. Am I going to learn any real combat moves?" it wasn't that he didn't like the moves he was given, in fact he could already think of uses for some of them. The problem was that, if he ran into someone a bit more advanced, little tricks might not do the job.

With a sigh and a nod, Tosatsu stood up, wincing slightly at the feeling of sand grating on his skin in unpleasant places. "If you'll give me a moment." Tosatsu said, and executed a back flip over the boulder, followed by a thud, and sounds of pain. "I'm fine!" He called out, to make sure she didn't follow him. With that, he began to strip down, and clean the sand out of his clothing.

With the sand mostly cleaned out and fully dressed again, Tosatsu walked back to the other side of the boulder. He could still feel a bit of grating inside his clothing, but it was much better now that the majority of the sand was gone. "So what next?" He asked, picking up the jutsu book.
