((lol looks like i've left quite an impression on the bad guys. @Strider: the whole reason i made the armor a rare kind of titanium was because my character hates gundams and refuses to use gundanium. the titianium was supposed to be lighter and not as tough as gundanium. i actually meant it to be a disadvantage, and i was trying to give the suit drawbacks. but, i guess we can just roll with it smile @Ty: I really like the way you write. It very descriptive and actually quite engaging. Are you a writer, ouside of RP's?))

Weeks had gone by, and John had sharpened his skills in taking down the Gundams, both renegade and those employed by Backdraft. He was looking forward to his first rematch with Chris. Though he was loathe to use nanotechnology in his suit, John finally decided to make use of nanobots to repair his armor on the fly. Though beam weaponry was nearly completely ineffective against Modus Operandi, solid ammunition would prove to be its bane. After utterly destroying Gundam Lilith, and wiping out the pilot's nearby pursuers, John took the time to put another mark on his suit's right shoulder. Seventeen Gundams had met their end against him. Fourteen pilots lived to tell the tale. Only Chris and his brother had fought John and prevailed. In recent days, John became aware of a band of pilots working together, and in possession of several Gundams. Chris and Backdraft could wait. Kamon, Byrd, Nick, Koza, Adalwulf, and all of their Gundams would face John next.

Kamon glanced over his shoulder hearing Adal. "Sure, I prefer ramen or beef anyway. As for Chris's past, all I can say is that he told me about losing his eye as a kid, and pretty much fought in the war years ago. Anything else I didn't bother to ask, we were to busy fighting or repairing suits. Is that container ready?" He was sure that with Taikou operational, it would be able to stand up against numerous foes and not have to worry about the cannon recharging, the weapon bits would help a great deal. 'But how could I take the best characteristics of each set and use them all at once...' "Nick, do me a favor, outfit Arashi with the ZERO System 3.5, it will be able to fight on it's own then, the Hydras had that, and it did remarkably well against even Zero. I'm sure it will help in battle." With that said, Kamon walked off, thinking deeply, and vowing that Chris's betrayal wouldn't go unpunished.

((I actually plan on making it to where Chris can dislodge the armor if it's to damaged.))

"Gotcha." Nick got out of his gundam and went to Arashi holding a small disk he had picked up from a small table. Once inside he input it into the mainframe. "The upload should be done soon. In the mean time I suggest we finish what we were doing don't you agree Kamon." Nick got out of Arashi and walked over to the CAS. "So you said we should start with the launching system?"

Al and his team had set out for Earth and were half way there when Al got a call from an informant on Earth. Appearantly the Modus Operandi was on the move. It was heading in the same direction as they were. Al smiled and slowed down considerably. Maybe John would do his job for him and when the fight was over and John was already damaged Al would swoop in and finish him. Two birds wih one stone.

((At Silas: Thanks. I'm a little bit of a writer, I have a few things in the Writing Arenas. But mostly because of my Writer's Block, the way I don't continue something I've started, and the way I get bored with stuff that nothing interesting's happening in one part of the plot, that I don't get too far with writing. Mainly I think about it in my head.))

"Beef's good." Adalwulf agreed and popped the cap off the bottle he was holding, taking a swig. He grimaced at the strong taste but drank some more, then filled the rest with water. Just because he liked to drink didn't mean he liked to have his senses dulled by the effects. Especially his sight, what with the poor depth perception. He sat down at the table and took a bite of the sandwich, listening to the conversations around him.

"The launching system only needs refined, I managed to get the equipment into the container. Anyway, Arashi can now fight on it's own, and we could even use it as a decoy, letting me launch a surprise attack from Raikou or Yaiba." Kamon looked over to Adal, still drinking. "I have no idea how you can drink that, it's way to strong for me." He chuckled and got some for himself, mixing it with some vodka. "Now this is good."

Adalwulf made a grunting noise in the back of his throat and got up to fill it with more water. "You get used to it. I'm still not, though." He took a gulp of the watered down drink and nodded appreciatively. "I use water to the the edge off it. Lessens the bitterness." He sat back down and ate more of his sandwich. "You don't look too old," He pointed out, nodding at Kamon. "What made you what to do this whole "rebel against Backdraft thing" anyway?"

Kamon sighed, reluctant to say anything, but at the same time knowing that allies were needed. "I was only 6 when Marie tried to take over the Earthsphere. Since that day, I admired the Gundam pilots, who, even when being beaten, never gave up. I swore that I would do the same as they would if the colonies and Earth ever needed protection." Kamon took a long drink, the vodka adding an unpleasant aftertaste. "Ugh, cheap vodka. Anyway, I trained as much as I could, and thankfully, it was enough by the time Backdraft appeared. When they did, I built Zero Fire based off blueprints I found, and a scientist helped me until he got killed. He was one of the original designers. I told him what I would like changed, and he obliged. By the time Zero was done, I met Chris, and then one of my old friends, Byrd, showed up, wanting to help. And ever since, I've been doing what I could to stop them." Kamon took another drink, thinking deeply for a few moments before saying more. "In our last battle, with me, Koza, Byrd, and Chris, every one of our suits got ruined, and I was injured." Kamon lifted up his shirt to reveal a large scar running from his chest around to his lower back. "So I went to Earth to go into hiding. While I was in hiding, I managed to find a cache of Gundanium, the metal used to make our suits, and I started work on Arashi. Nick arrived one day, and at first I was reluctant to trust him, but over time, I gradually began to. And by the time of our first battle, and meeting up with Byrd and Koza again, Arashi had just been completed." Kamon took a seat, obviously trembling with anger. "Then Chris attacked, telling us how he used us, how he knew the entire time. But now we have the ultimate Gundam again, only this time, Zero won't be defeated. I learn from mistakes, so that's why I decided on defensive nanites to be put in Zero, to counter his."

Byrd and Koza finished repairing Epyon's head. "One of the two ultimates, Kamon. Epyon Spectre is it's polar opposite. I need to remake the Snipe Buster, without the rail gun barrel, it's more powerful and accurate like that."

"I miss Fuzion. That was an awesome gundam. Unless we can get ahold of more gundanium, any chance of that is dashed. But Omega Tallgeese is able to match most any gundam, As proven when Milliardo Peacecraft used Tallgeese III against Mariemeia's army." Koza goes to work laying out the schematics for the rest of the missing pieces, programming the nanites to repair the broken V-fin on Epyon's head. They got to work immediately. "I need a break."

"Then go take one, gosh" Byrd goes to retrieve the last bit of saki in the bottle and drank it. "I'll need some of this later"

Nick had walked in half way through Kamon's explanation. "Well. Now you've heard our story but what about you Adal? What's your story?" Nick got a chair and sat down in it being truely interested.

((I wish Silas would post but he did say he had some kidney stones so I guess I really can't complain))

((I haven't quit on you, don't worry. I think my um...problem...is over now, so I'll start posting again soon. Right now I'm just waiting for a good opportunity to jump back in. I'm not sure what direction I'm gonna take my character, though. Any suggestions?))

((however you see fit, no one knows how its gonna turn out))

"I don't like explaining it often, so I'm glad you heard." Kamon walked out of the room, heading towards the CAS container. Poking his head back in for a second, Kamon looked at Adal. "If you want, you can move your suit in here now. Just make sure to refuel and rearm in preparation for any battles." With that said, Kamon continued on to the container. Looking through the computer, he saw Nick had finished. 'Not bad. I just hope it will be enough.' "Byrd, you know Epyon will have to do with titanium armor for the legs, seeing as they don't exist anymore, and with no way of obtaining any Gundanium soon. But for now, I want you to head out with me on recon." Kamon climbed into Zero, still equipped with the Yaiba armor. "Kamon, Zero Yaiba, launching." Zero roared out of the base, and waited a few miles away for Byrd to join him.

Adalwulf listened to Kamon leave and nodded to himself, sorting through what he'd been told. He grunted again and took a long swallow of his drink, noticing Nick had come in. "It's nothing worth mentioning really." He started off, looking at him curiously. "I grew up in foster homes. My parents disappeared, or died, when I was 6. Don't remember too much of them though." He gazed away. "I was always into technical things. Computers, mechs, you name it. While I was wondering around, after I moved out of the foster homes of course, a girl stole my heart." His fingers wandered up to his eye patch, but he didn't notice. "Ah, gott, we were in love. But then some drunken pilots, dumkopfs as they were to begin with, came along and started to get touchy with her. I held my own for awhile, but then one b*****d pulled out a knife." He sighed sadly. "Lost my eye that day, and I lost her. She disappeared off somewhere. I started drinking more also. Since then, I supported myself by taking jobs from computer geeks and the like. Then I found Lillia, got her repaired, painted up, and have been attached to her ever since." He had drained most of the alcohol by now, by accident. He frowned and set it aside. "Verdammen, she's really the only thing I have, besides my laptop there."

((Why is Deadpool wearing Iron Man's chest plate? lol @Neowing: BTW, I now have 72 pilots in my mobile suit corps on SRW. lol I've never even heard of half of them, but I only ever use the Gundams. If you'll be at home Wednesday, I can bring a copy of the game over.))
John tightened his grip on the controls, and made a beeline for Zeta Gundam just as it landed on the ground beside the Zero variant. Modus Operandi ignited the beam shotos and rushed forward, sticking them into Zeta's cooling vents.
"There, now. If you try to pursue me, you'll overheat your machine. I suggest you stay put for the time being. I want Wing Zero, first. But don't worry, I'll get to you." While Zeta's pilot collected himself, John made use of the time he'd bought, and attacked the Zero variant.

"Damn. If it's not one thing, it's another." Byrd moved Zeta X slowly away so it didn't overheat, then began to lock on to Modus Operandi's arms. Eventually Zero and Modus were deadlocked, and Byrd fired his shoulder-mounted rail gun, hitting modus' arms, hitting one at the joint, and the other in the forearm. "Gotcha!"

"Don't get cocky! Focus!" Koza in the Omega Tallgeese rushed forward, then stopped, spinning the mini-guns on it's shield.

"Oh, is that all?" John sneered. He jettisoned the armor on the damaged forarm. Nanobots digested it on the way to the ground, preventing it from being salvaged. The other arm quickly healed itself. "You see, I use a specially made alloy of titanium in my armor. It's easier to buy, easier to build into armor, and easier for nanites to repair than Gundanium." John swept the air around Zero with Vulcans, leading the enemy Gundam with the shot. As Zero darted away from the bullets, John intercepted him, spinning rapidly and slashing at Zero's armor. The pilot was pretty fast; he managed to block most of John's attacks. But while Modus Operandi was devoting its full attention to Zero, a string of bullets struck the back of John's armor sporadically. "Oops! Gonna have to be a little more careful." John dodged away to allow the nanites to do their work. Technology always has its limits, and John did not want to overtax the nanotech.
