Matariki listened in silence, keeping an eye on Jaron.

Jaron listened for several moments, taking in the melody. Then he began to sing himself. The tempo made no sense, the notes did not flow from one to another. Even the lyrics seemed to be some garble impossible to translate. It was as if he was trying to sing fifteen songs simultaneously, and not a one of them any good. "MI CHA AL NALI LIN SHA ZA NEM MEN SHO PUS NEX CHIL CULL KEP!" he....sang.

Aria gasped, as if in pain and stopped singing, staring at Jaron in abject horror.

Jaron saw Matariki cringe and laughed, cutting off the horrid jumble of sounds he was creating. "You were right, miss Aria, suddenly I feel much better!" and it was not just having a way to retaliate against the frustrating demon that did it. He actually did miss singing. Reminded him of being with his brother. He wondered how Intermezzo was....
