Rizu-sensei if you truly believe that witches can just willy-nilly cast whatever spells they want, then you either aren't a real witch, or you had a massive brain fart and forgot the whole bit about First of all, she suggested that Shion isn't a real witch, completely undermining her practices, and the beliefs related to those practices. That alone is insulting to anyone. Apparently, Shion isn't a real witch, because she doesn't do things a certain way. Second of all, she said 'massive brain fart'. She said that Shion 'had a massive brain fart'. A massive brain fart. But that was not the insult Shion was complaining about. Yes, it was the insult that she was complaining about. That's rather obvious by the fact that she literally quoted it two or three pages ago, and said "This insults me". All she did was phrase it all in a different way, and because of it, you all missed it by a mile. She was complaining about being called an "ignoramus". also, Shion has...well, less than a perfect track record here, shall we say? It is hard to take someone's complain with the utmost sincerity when she has been doing...well, what she has been doing.

Perhaps Rizu meant "Wiccan" not "Witch." Many people misspeak.

entervixen but the law is the same way. There is no saying what will happen to a person who is being charged with any given crime. It's not saying that causing harm is a crime either. It does not state that harm is bad. It just states that not causing harm is good. There are other options available besides harm being bad. That's what I'm trying to point out. You're staring at it and trying to take it literally when it's advice, a suggestion, and can be inferred differently.

'Stupid', 'idiot', 'moron', and 'dunce' are all insults that imply the same general lack of intelligence; the fact that they're all different words doesn't change that. Kasa: I feel it was a good bit insulting (although I figure it wasn't meant to be so) to be said that you're invalidated as a witch if you think you can cast whatever spells you like and/or do not follow the Wiccan rede.
And from what I see, it was replied to be "that wasn't insulting, you're stupid". Which is just as insulting. It wasn't at all "I'm sorry you see it that way, it wasn't meant to be seen like that" but more of stabbing the wound.

I just feel confused....is all As I said in my request, I came here to try and discuss witchcraft and the like. I thought that a thread titled 'ask a witch' would be as good a place as any to start.
