Its not my fault your such a moron

Derrin Hasstorn

Just leave me alone

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This was why Derrin didn't do nice things for people, they only made him angry...... He began sputtering as hi temper blew, he started to reach in his cloak for a fire tome.... fully intending to get rid of the mans cold, when the stranger sneezed on him.

Derrin had been taking a breath to start and angry tirade when Lance had sneezed in his face, instead of angry words a startled yelp escaped the mage as he fell backwards into the same pile of snow he had been in a moment ago.

"Nrrrrrg!" He growled as he shoved his face in the snow desperately trying to get the snot out of his eyes, he was too busy with this task to notice that Lance had left.

So when he stood up with his fire tome in his hands and eyes wild with rage, face dripping with snow it only made him angrier to see that the object of his rage was gone.

A string of curses could be heard then as the mage came close to throwing a hissy fit in the middle of the street.

Feh, How annoying.

[ X ][ O ]Blossom[ O ][ X ]

Blossom's eyes closed as she mused over how things had been going recently. Things were actually quite peaceful, now that she thought about it. No angry groups out to kill them, no monster attacks, no social troubles. Nothing like that, just some peaceful days and time to relax and train without worry of mortal peril. Blossom liked that. As much as she loved knowing she was capable of protecting people and defending the country she'd come to regard as her own, constantly being assailed by threats wasn't exactly conducive to a healthy life.

She startled back to reality as she heard someone speak, near the fireplace. Blossom's blue eyes went over to the wolf now laying down there, and she would have thought someone else had spoken if she hadn't noticed the wolf looking right at them, paws gathered under his chin, like he had been resting his head a second ago. Well, that answered one question.

"Right away!" she chirped, leaping up and rushing to the kitchen, a flurry of lacy skirts and her apron. She considered for a moment on getting him a bowl, but would that be considered rude? And if she got him a cup, would he be able to drink it in that form?

In the end, she decided to go with the bowl--it was simply easier for someone in wolf form, and if she insulted him, well, if he intended to drink it in humanoid form he shouldn't be asking for water as a wolf!--and hurried over to Rain a few minutes later, placing out the bowl in front of him.

"Here, uh... here you go," she simply said, smiling a little. You better not complain, mister! With that, she sat back down on the edge of the table, looking over at Rain warily, hoping he didn't have a problem, then looked back over at Aruna.

"Hey, uh... I was thinking about something earlier. Should I... um, have different uniforms every so often? Because you've always got different stuff and... I've got this." Blossom smiled sheepishly, adjusting the tie around her back.

Edward opened his eyes and got up. "Ugh, blasted cold weather.... should have brought a coat or something...." Edward knocked on the door of the hospital and sneezed violently. "Aw man... hope someone answers the door..." the Myrmidon shivered and knocked again.

(( YAY FOR FORGETTING THINGS! :3 ))

Rei was quite clearly a bit agitated. He ran into, of all people, dead man walking Soren. And just when he was about to get to the bottom of just why in the world the Sage was still around, and what he knew about recent events, some random, stupid guard decided to throw himself in the Druid's way. As if the boy's mind wasn't being jabbed at enough, the guard mentioned his relation to Nino.

The moment the man did, Rei felt his body lock up, and become rigid with anger. As much as the thought pained him, the Druid completely knew that he hardly even knew his mother past a name and a face. Really, she was little more than his boss, to him. When word came him during one of his study sessions in the castle that she'd fallen ill, it didn't phase him as much as it should have. He'd always want to visit, but whenever he'd go to try, he'd get shooed away, since she would always be asleep, conserving her energy. Eventually, his attempts at visiting stopped altogether, as he became engrossed in his research.

But, parent or not, mention of Nino still was cause for concern. Granted, it may not be entirely important, if some random guard was approaching him in the middle of the street, but there'd be no sense in ignoring the man. However, as the soldier's words began to sink in, Rei noticed the white-clad Soren appear from the crowd, still following. And as all winter days do, a chilling breeze swept the streets, sending small shivers through Rei's body.

"I am, but..." Rei looked back behind himself, in the direction he was walking. It wouldn't be much farther, now, and the cold was really getting quite insufferable. And whatever the man had to say, it could surely wait a few minutes for the warmth of inside the Host Club manor. "...Just follow me, okay? I have somewhere to be, and if you went through the trouble to find me, you can go through the trouble to follow me." He raised a hand to Soren, making a beckoning motion. Soren was far from stupid, so he'd know that they weren't there yet. Hopefully. "Plus, it's really cold today..." With a chuckle at the obviousness of his statement, Rei turned and began to walk again. He didn't see any sort of advantage for the guard to keep him out in the cold, as well as in a public street, to give whatever news he may have. If it was bad news, he would prefer to be out of the public's eye...

"Ah... No, uh..." The guard stammered. He looked around shiftily, though it could not be seen underneath his helmet. He couldn't allow these two to get away, and he couldn't just try to take them in. Creating unnecessary chaos in the crowd would only create complications. He was really in a troubling position. He could follow them to discover where they were going, and make it impossible for the vice captain to know. Or, he could wait where he was for the vice captain and help search, but not find out where the two were going. Neither option was pleasing.

However, this soldier had proved that he was quick to think before, and his mind would not fail him this time. "Y-you see, I have, er.. matters to attend to, and... well, maybe I can speak with you a little later, inside." The soldier leaned his head down, and his voice shifted oddly. "...Where is it that you are headed, exactly...?" Information; a lovely thing.

This guard sure had become a bit less together. Stammering like that? The guy probably forgot why he even went and found the Druid. It'd explain why he kept the helmet on, since knowing the face behind the failure wouldn't be too good for the self-esteem. Really, this man was getting rather annoying, alongside the weather. Rei just wanted to go home, curl up in front of a fire with a good book, and relax. After talking with Soren, of course.

...the man had the nerve to just brush off his curiosity like that? He came up, approached him, and now he's trying to weasel out of an explanation for wasting the Druid's time? After a brief moment of thinking, Rei's face turned from a slightly curious gaze to one of irritated disgust.

"You went out of your way to find me, it seems, so whatever matters you have to attend to can wait." Rei put a hand on the man's armored shoulder, giving him a harsh glare. "You can stop wasting my time with your antics, and come with me." The Druid took the guard by the wrist and began to walk, dragging him along. "This is the only time that I'll be free today, and if it concerns the Captain, I'd rather not wait until tomorrow."

"W-what?!" Well, that didn't work. The kid must have some kind of odd personality disorder. All he was doing was asking the boy where he was headed, so that they could talk later. What a brat. This called for a change of tactics.

"Look, I have an errand to run for..." The guard paused for a slight moment, and thought up something that would make sense. "..Captain Vaida! I will finish what I have to do, and will meet you wherever you are heading, to talk. It should give you plenty of time to finish whatever business you have with your friend, here." The guard turned his head towards the long haired man dressed in white, then looked back over at the boy. "The fact is, I have to do this other thing before I talk with you, because... err, the captain said so! Then I can go to you. I can't travel with you without finishing my other task. Or would you rather Captain Vaida learn that you were the reason things didn't get done fast enough?"

The soldier's voice grew somewhat more harsh and desperate, but he was still able to keep his cool. "Now tell me.. where are you going?"

Goodness, if the guard wanted to make things easier on the Druid, he sure wasn't acting like it. All Rei wanted to do was just spend maybe an hour or so discussing that Razevi conflict with Soren, and then return to his studies. But by the looks of it, he'd have to plan on being interrupted by the intrusion of this man at some unknown point during the day. That was just great.

But still, he did feel bad for the man, working under Vaida. Justified his hesitation to do other things first, definitely. So, at the mere mention of Vaida, Rei let go of the man's arm. "Alright, I'll let you go." he said, without a shred of emotion. "But..." he began to smile, a mean little scheme coming to mind. "Forget it. You'll be able to find me at the Host Club Manor." He wanted to make the guard go on some sort of information hunt, in case he didn't know where the Druid lived, but the guy would probably end up wandering the castle, with as much time as he spent there. Probably for the best, too. If he'd send the man on this stupid little errand, he'd have to change his plans to expect him at any time, depending on when he figured out where Rei could be found. And that would be silly. But enough random post-lengthening babble!

"Just... don't waste too much of my time, got it?" Rei turned, and once more entered the flow of the crowd, making his way towards the Host Club Manor with Soren in tow. He was getting even chillier, and that guard wasn't helping.

The guard smiled, as the boy revealed his destination. "I'll try.." It was a sly smile by nature, but the other facial details that designated it such remained concealed. He wasn't the sneakiest or most clever of people, but that didn't really matter. He was successful.

As the two walked off, the guard stood and watched them vanish into the crowd. He didn't think about it looking odd that he wasn't leaving to do the other task he claimed that he had. Thankfully, neither of the two seemed to look back at him. After a moment of so, the guard looked around sporadically, thinking about what he should do next. It's a little hard to recognize where you are when you pay attention to following somebody and not where you're going. However, another moment and the guard knew where he was. He needed to get back to where his partner said he would be returning to.

--------------------

"We're almost there, sir."

Rath had followed the guard out of the castle and was now in the streets of Eyris. He didn't traverse the city very often unless he was leaving or coming from somewhere, and he had not done either in a while. The people who took noticed him varied in their expressions. It was easy to tell in some faces that they still resented him for being gone for so long, a while back. It perhaps only made things worse that nobody knew where he had gone. But revealing that would create.. complications. Thankfully, those faces had decreased significantly over the time he had been back. Now if only those faces that showed disgust of nomadic people could be decreased...

"Wh-what the-?!" The voice of the guard suddenly rang out. Rath looked over at him, noticing the concern in the voice.

"What is it?"

"It was right here... I told my comrade to wait right here and watch them! Damn, they must have walked off!"

"..." Rath made no reaction to this. He had come out here because Soren had been spotted. He was not going to simply go back inside because the man was not in sight. He looked around a little, though for nothing in particular. A guard keeping tabs on somebody and then leaving no way for anybody else to get the necessary information? Vaida was training them better than that.

After looking around at the faces in the crowd, Rath looked over by the building they were near and something caught his eye. A lonely piece of wood away from the other planks. He looked more intently and saw that there was something odd on the surface. Ignoring the guard's annoyed rants about his partner, Rath stepped over to the wood and knelt down to it. An arrow was carved into it, with a fine tip, though it was sloppily created as if the tool used was long and unsuited. The way it was laid out had it pointing ahead of them, down the street. There was nothing that made this a definite message from the missing guard, but it was just too different. The probability suggested that it was a message. However, even if it wasn't, the only place for the the people they were looking for to go, given the layout of the street, was in the direction of the arrow.

"...Guard. Enough." Rath said, essentially telling the man to shut up with his annoyed rant. "We go this way."

"Y-yes sir...!"

The two of them continued on down the street. There was no sight of any of the people in question at first, but soon enough, a fast walking guard bumped into the soldier that accompanied Rath. The acting captain took notice of the reaction the two had at seeing each other. He... chose to ignore how they could recognized one another despite looking very similar and wearing helmets. The important thing was that the missing guard had been found. The two of guards then spouted off various words to one another, catching up and other such irrelevant banter. Choosing to get down to business, Rath interrupted the two.

"I.. take it that if you were coming back toward us you have discovered at least where the two you were watching were headed."

"Ah.. yes, sir! I managed to get the boy to reveal that he was headed to the Host Club! They have probably arrived there, by now."

"Good. Then follow me..." Rath wanted to find this man. If it was Soren, there was much that needed explaining. And much was an understatement. "We go to the Host Club."

User ImageAruna folded her arms under her chest out of boredom. Business was much slower than she thought it would be. It was almost usually quiet. Something seemed a bit odd.

Through the corner of her serpentine eyes, she noticed Rain giving her scorning looks. In the back of her mind, Aruna became slightly insecure. Just what was that fur ball’s problem? Luckily Blossom served him his bowl of water or the nagini might have started an argument with the wolf.

"Hey, uh... I was thinking about something earlier. Should I... um, have different uniforms every so often? Because you've always got different stuff and... I've got this."
The other hostess couldn’t help but giggle at Blossom’s question. It was cute how naïve the human was being. “Well it isn’t a written rule that waitresses have more than one uniform,” she answered. “However, don’t you get bored wearing the same thing to work every day? I believe changing into different clothes gives the customers something fresh to look at.” Aruna brought her index finger to her lips and thought for a few brief moments. “If it’s a new outfit you want, I think we might have something in the back. I would offer you one of my ensembles, but even with your growth spurt I don’t think you’d fit into any of them.” She poked Blossom’s chest to make sure her point got across.

Aruna turned to face Ganon. “Can you handle the customers while I find Blossom a new uniform? I promise I’ll make it up to you later, darling,” she said in an alluring voice. The snake woman glanced back spotting a sickly Lance stumble through the front door. At least the thief bothered to use the front this time. “You can start with that gentleman there.”

With that said, she led the small employee to a backroom filled with boxes of costumes.

Blossom nodded once, brushing her fingers against her skirt. "I know that, I just... feel a bit at odds with you having multiple uniforms," Blossom murmured. She tugged at her apron, adjusting it over her front, and looked back up at Aruna.

"If it’s a new outfit you want, I think we might have something in the back. I would offer you one of my ensembles, but even with your growth spurt I don’t think you’d fit into any of them."

Blossom squeaked indignantly at the sudden touch to her newly-arrived body part. She folded her arms over her front uncertainly, but Aruna was quickly keeping the line of conversation going, and with her direction to Ganon to take care of Lance, who looked about ready to fall into a pile of sick on the floor, she guided Blossom to the back room.

The search through the clothes in the back was an interesting one for sure; a good deal of the clothes was either too risque for her body shape or over-sized, leaving her with hanging sleeves and trailing pant legs. After a decent search, only trying on the things that appeared close to her size, Blossom finally found something that worked, and her face lit up immediately.

"Thank you, Aruna!" Blossom chirped, smiling warmly up at the nagini. She reached up to give her a hug. "I'll make sure to get this put away again after work, okay? Unless I could borrow it or something, I guess... a-anyway, I should get back to work, shouldn't I?" Blossom beamed at Aruna.

She adjusted her hat quietly and emerged from the backroom, black shoes tapping quietly on the tile. Her white socks went up to her knee, with a little pink ribbon through the top of each. A green pleated skirt matched the green tie at the neck of her blouse, covered by a pink vest, and a black pageboy cap covered the top of her head, leaving just her bangs visible. She held a bookbag in her hands, but she carefully placed it against the stage instead of carrying it around with her.

"Uhm..." She reached into the bag, removing the pad and pen inside. Aruna was prepared for anyone to wear these at work, it seemed. "Does anyone need--"

She paused. Lance was still inside, and he certainly wasn't well... better tend to that. "Tell Lance I'll be right back," she rushed to the kitchen after speaking, emerging a few minutes later with a tray, carrying dry toast and a steaming mug of tea. There was a blanket folded over one arm, a towel on top of it.

"Lance?" she called, looking over at the black-haired man in concern before approaching him, still carrying her load.

xxxxx"If you're worried about surviving, xxxxxxxyou can worry about it after you're dead!"
"The wyvern riders of Bern sit atop the heap of all other forces on the continent!" xxxxx "You will see our power soon!"

"Hear ye, hear ye! Estarcia calls for Learania's aid! All Guild Members are encouraged to join up! Let your loyalty be shown! Report to the Guard barracks to prepare! Hear ye, hear ye..."

One of the four soldiers that Vaida had sent out walked the streets of Eyris, ringing a bell. He called out as he walked, to anybody who would hear. The people who conversed paused a moment to see what the noise was about. Usually, it was an important message, and that was definitely the case, this time. Any person walking down the main road, or was in the marketplace, or in buildings around this area would hear the man.

Another man with a bell began to run down the street to the other parts of the city. People away from the crowds would soon notice this man.

A third solider rode down a back street on horseback, and headed toward the city gates. He was going to head out to the surrounding villages. People around there would soon get his message.

A fourth soldier, a timid orange haired girl, had made her way up to the door of the Watch house. She shivered noticeably, partially from the cold and also from nervousness. She worried that nobody here would help. She worried that she might say something wrong. But she knew that she had to try, so she sucked it up and knocked on the door. When the door opened, she didn't pay attention to whoever it was that was there. "E-excuse me! We have orders to inform the Watch that they are being asked to join up! Er, that is, Estarcia has asked for help, a-and Learania is going to go! The crew would like for the Watch to come as well, for extra support! I-if you agree, please come to the Guard barracks and prepare... o-or you could prepare here, or.. w-whatever you feel best doing!"

((Deciding to puppet Lalum around, since she hasn't shown her face here in a long while.))

Well, it had taken some time, but he had managed to tell Lalum a little about this world. He had even taken her inside the Hostess Club for a little bit to show her some of the new beings that certainly didn't exist in her world. It seemed like they were in need of a new hostess, so he had decided to let her stay around and see how they did things.

After all, he had other business to attend to.

After the young lord had given Lalum directions to the nearest inn (and his place, if she wanted to visit), Roy wandered around town for a bit. He heard the cries from the Guard members about Estarcia calling for Learania's aid. Since he had never journeyed over to that place before, now would be a good time as any to go. But first...he needed supplies. ...And he still had to do something about Mel.

Of course he would take the Flame Sword he had acquired back during the battle in Sentria (he still had chills and nightmares about that one instance, even though he blocked it from his mind). The rest of the supplies...maybe he could find some stuff from the Secret Shop he heard the Watch went to every now and then.

Speaking of the Watch...as he walked past their base, he noticed a familiar person talking to them, mentioning stuff about Estarcia. If he remembered correctly, she had gone with them over to Sentria, and even went back to grab the Guard to go storm the tower. The girl with the wyvern, wasn't she?

Roy approached her once she had given them the message.

"Looking for people to go to Estarcia?" he asked her curiously. "I can help out, if you need people."

User ImageWhat's this? An announcement? A cry for help? From where, Elly wondered. She stopped Tristai for a moment to listen in on what the guard had to say. Realizing it was a request for aid from the country Estarcia.

...

Estarcia...perhaps....could her brother be there..? It could be one step closer to finding her brother anyhow. Elly looked at the guard then turned to the ranger beside of her. "Tristai...I'm...I'm going. They need help and this is a chance for me to look around that country for any signs of my brother.." as long as he was ok, as long as she found any trace of his lifeline to know her damn family member was all right. She paused, tilting her head toward the ground to look at the dirt and shook her head. "Accompany if you want..but I need to know is all" hopefully the ranger understood...if not..then damn it all Elhaym was going to go, she's not as fragile as most would think.

She waited for an answer, whether Tristai said yes or no, or heaven above forbid her from going, nothing was going to change the sniper's mind anyhow.
