Shayera sighed.
No. I can't just stop talking to him. I can't just avoid him, she thought, trying to reason with herself.
She performed the jutsu one last time, making sure she had it perfect. The head came off this time, too. She smiled, satisfied for the first time in a long time.

Shay signed, opening Kyodai. She slashed it through the air, kicking up a good-sized sandstorm. Tanzu was so moody.
That girl, Sora. She said she wanted to change his attitude. Hmph. Good luck, she thought fondly. Thinking about Tanzu only missed Zephyr, causing tears to come to her eyes. She swiped under each eye with a gloved hand, sniffling quietly. Thinking about him broke her heart in more ways than she would have thought possible.

"As I'd asked before Tanzu threw his little fit," Shayera started, smiling again. "My clan jutsus. Do I have to teach them to myself or do you teach me, or how do I go about learning them? If I have to teach them to myself, I'll just pass. That's a job for a rainy day." She said dryly, noting the dry, dusty air around her. "Figuratively, of course. If I can't learn my clan stuff from you, I'll go with regular ninjutsu."

She smiled at her"o ok, then let's start with Henge No Jutsu (Transformation Technique)
Description: A user of this skill has the ability to transform their outer appearance to that of another form, which can be a person or object. However, due to the physical restrictions on the body, the user cannot transform into anything extremely smaller or larger than what they already are. Therefore one could not transform into a shuriken or a small animal. Neither can the user transform into an enlarged or distented form of anything (therefore no such thing as a small human-sized adult elephant, or a human-sized ant). Therefore the user must always be within the same proportions as the original form of the object. Also, the user does not gain any extra physical ability through Henge. (i.e. transforming into a cheetah will not give you a cheetah's speed) Henge is dispelled when the user is touched in an offensive matter. Thus after the user hits the target in their transformed state they revert. So first of you need to clear your mind of all thoughts, of all doubts,of anything that might stop you from learning this jutsu, then image in, then let it happen"She said then transforming to a cheetah

"O...K..." Shayera started slowly. She took a deep breath, thinking of a feeling of serenity and calmness. She tried to make herself seem completely cool and confident.
She thought of herself as a wolf. A white one with beautiful blue eyes and long, thick fur. Her body started to feel strange.
Don't mess up! A little voice yelled gleefully in her head. She looked down, cursing under her breath.
"Damn it all." She muttered when she saw that her legs had become pawed and covered with white fur. She also noted that she had a tail. That would take some getting used to. She flicked herself gently on the knee and felt her legs snap back to human form.

She remembered her father's last words to her and tears welled up in her eyes.
He had looked at her as if she was the biggest regret of his life. He looked like he'd hated her then. He had pushed her too hard and that one Summon has almost cost Shayera her life.
"You're a failure. You will never be like your mother. You're only going to keep letting down your clan." He had said to her in a disgusted voice. That was the last time she'd seen her father.
"And he was right, wasn't he, Miss Shayera?" The little voice asked her scathingly. Her tears spilled forth and she turned away from the Kazekage.
"I'm a failure." She whispered the completely true words to herself, letting the disappointment crush her. She couldn't go back. She couldn't stay here. She was a failure. A letdown. A nobody. She personified exactly how Tanzu felt about himself. The only difference was that Tanzu had potential. Shayera Nara did not.

"No." She replied bluntly, waiting for the explanation that was about to follow. She sighed and cleared her mind again, focusing on the image of the wolf in her head. She opened her eyes too soon after the strange feeling started and found herself with the body and legs of a wolf but the head of a human. She sighed in frustration, the feeling of failure threatening again.
Stop it stop it stop it! She shouted in her head, focusing again.
