Alex felt cold in his slumber, but that soon turned to warmth. He had forgotten that Victor’s body was ice cold. Though he knew no matter how cold his body was he would stay cuddled against the vampire’s body. He felt comfortable there. To have someone surround his body protectively was a different experience. It was a welcomed experience and one he would like to experience more. The teen’s body slowly moved so that he was on his stomach. That was after Victor had moved away from him.
The boy dreamed of a gallery. Not just any gallery, but his own. It had photographs that he took decorating the walls. There was even the occasional hand painted picture. This truly was a dream for Alex. The only thing that he was missing was someone to share the experience with. He looked around smiling to everyone who was there to look at his work. It was wonderful. The boy turned the corner expecting to see a crowd, but it was a single person. That person turned out to be Victor. He blushed lightly seeing him, but the vampire smiled walking toward him.
Unfortunately there was another vampire in this dream. This one didn’t have a face; it was just a dark figure. It pushed its way through the crowd to get to Alex. He didn’t know what to do. All he thought was who and why. Before that dark figure got any closer he noticed that Victor stood between the human and vampire. He didn’t feel fear anymore. That was when he felt fingers run through his hair. That was odd since that didn’t happen in his dream. He came to the conclusion that he should wake up.
Alex’s body moved around a bit more on the bed as he woke up from his slumber. A faint smell of coffee filled the air as he opened his eyes. He rubbed his eyes to get rid of the crusty stuff there. “Morning Victor..” He mumbled after a yawn left his lips. He assumed it was Victor since there was a dip in the bed and this was his room.

"Good morning Alex." She smiled at him, still running his hand into his hair. "How did you sleep?" He asked as he looked down at the teen. Victor's hand slowed down, ended up petting Alex's hair. "I'll make you some breakfast if you're not too full from a few hours ago." Victor said, his hand still moving in his hair. "I need to go to the school later today, so I need you up now. Rainieri is still sleeping, but I don't know how long that'll last for." Victor said and moved closer to Alex, grabbing the mug, blowing on it to cool it down. "Would you like some?" He offered Alex the mug of coffee. Emelia's door opened, and she walked out, rubbing her face. She was tired from waking in the middle of the night. She was so used to her own sleeping hours, that last night threw her off. She walked into the kitchen and sat down, placing her head on the table, falling back asleep.

Alex smiled liking how he was waking up. “I slept really good. The dream I had, was wonderful too.” He only hoped that he could make that dream come true. Minus the evil dark figure. He noticed that Victor’s hand never stopped moving through his hair. He really liked that gesture. It felt so good he felt like he could purr. “Breakfast sounds good. I need some food in me.” Unconsciously, he moved his head against Victor’s hand.
“Why do I need to be up if you are the one going to school?” He asked puzzled. The vampire did answer one question that was on his mind since last night, concerning Rainieri. That didn’t really help him out in anyway. He’d rather have a time frame for how long the older vampire was staying. Then again, Alex couldn’t stay in the mansion forever. He smiled at Victor’s offer. “Thank you, but I think I’ll make my own cup. I usually like my coffee very sweet.” The boy got out of the bed slowly and smiled when he got out completely. He didn’t plan on changing for breakfast.

"Really?" Victor asked with a smile and leaned froward, kissing Alex's forehead. He kept moving his hand, he moved closer to Alex on the bed. Victor arched an eyebrow. "So Rainieri doesn't get to you of course." Victor said and poked Alex's nose. His hands lipped from the teen's hair, and the man got off the bed. He waited until Alex was standing then scooped him up, carrying Alex. He held Alex against him and picked up his mug, carrying Alex downstairs. "Hey go back to bed if you're going to sleep." He said to Emelia who just groaned. Victor set the teen down onto a chair and got him a mug, setting out some sugar and cream for him. Victor grabbed out some things for breakfast. Even after eating in the middle of the night, he was still hungry. Victor pulled out some eggs, left over beef, and bread. Mixing the eggs and meat together and cooking them then putting the bread in the toast for the three of them. Rainieri wouldn't be up any time soon, but he would be up. He severed the three of them breakfast and set out drinks. Victor sat across Emelia and next to Alex. "Will you go with me to the school? I'll be in and out, I promise it won't be longer than five minutes." He said to Alex as he placed some of the eggs and meat onto the toast, taking a btie.

“Yes really. I wouldn’t have said it if it wasn’t true.” Alex blushed a little feeling the kiss on his forehead and watching Victor get closer. He wished that Victor would keep playing with his hair like that. It was almost enough to lull him back to sleep. He was brought back when he was poked on the nose and the vampire’s hand disappeared. “That would make sense.”
He laughed softly when he was picked up. He could walk, but he wouldn’t say so since he liked being carried by Victor. Not that he would ever tell that to the older man. Alex saw Emelia asleep on the table and smiled. “Yea Emelia, your bed is so much more comfortable than the table.” Once he was set down and the mug was in front of him, he made his cup of coffee. He put about five spoonfuls of sugar into the mug and a bit of cream.
The kitchen was being filled with wonderfully delicious smells again. It was just like in the middle of the night, though now it really was breakfast. A couple of times he would turn around to watch Victor cook. Whenever the vampire turned his head, Alex focused on his cup of coffee. He smiled when the food was set in front of him. His stomach growled in response.
“I’ll go. I don’t have anything else to do around here. Though if I go inside they will wonder why I’m not attending school.” He said softly stuffing a piece of egg into his mouth. “Oh! I can say I’m collecting work that I’ve missed from my classes and still will be out that day. I’m sure that’ll work.” Alex took a sip of his coffee then made a sandwich out of the eggs and meat with the toast since that was the easiest way to eat the meal.

Emelia just lifted her head and walked over, grabbing a cup of coffee and sitting back down. "Well you can stay in the car. Won't be long at all, or you can do that." He flashed a smile at Alex. Victor finished his breakfast, not really hungry after eating so early in the morning. He cleaned off his plate and quickly downed the rest of his coffee, setting it in the sink. He left for upstairs to take a quick shower. Victor closed the bathroom door, turning on the hot and cold water, evening it out then undressing. He climbed into the shower and pulled the curtain closed. He took alot of showers since he could. It was something he enjoyed alot. He pulled his brown hair off the back of his neck, leaning his head forward and letting out a pleased sigh. Victor grabbed the wash cloth and soap, lathering it up and washing his body. Once his entire body was washed, Victor started on his hair, lathering it up, massaging his scalp. The man stood under the hot water, letting it rinse of all soap.

Alex watched Emelia as she walked around. She was acting like a soulless zombie, which was normal for non-morning people. She just needed something to wake her up so that she wouldn’t be so drained of energy. Or maybe something that’s red. He thought for a moment then nodded toward Victor. “I have to go inside. I have missed work and would like to catch up on it. It’s not like I have a disease.” He wouldn’t admit it, but that smile he was given was treasured. That had another thought get on the train of his thoughts. How long were Victor and he suppose to act like lovers? Until Rainieri was gone as the likely answer.
The coffee cup wasn’t even empty since Alex was taking his time to drink it. It was a real treat to have coffee in so long. He assumed Victor went to go take a shower so he nursed his coffee. He didn’t want to accidentally walk in on him. Then again the bathroom door would be closed. He took a sip of his coffee getting up, “Don’t burn yourself with your coffee Emelia.” The boy warned her as he headed up to Victor’s room. He needed a change of clothes if he was going inside the school.
“I’m in here Victor!” Alex announced himself when he went into Victor’s room. The vampire was in the bathroom, but it was to warn him that the boy was in the room. It made sense in Alex’s head and he is a polite boy. He rummaged through some of the drawers looking for something to wear.

Emelia just groaned to Alex's voice. She set her face in her hand and looked the other way. She was catching both Rainieri's and Victor's thoughts. Rainieri was having a sex dream and Victor letting his mind wander. "Stupid males." She mumbled and turned the other way so Alex wouldn't see her flushed face. She wasn't beautiful enough for it. They'd have to wait until she was done with her coffee, had some pills, took a shower and had her makeup on. Victor washed his hair, his green eyes closed, standing under the hot water, just enjoying it now. He opened his eyes and glanced in the direction of the door. "Okay!" He called back and turned off the water. He got out, wrapping a towel around his hips. The vampire opened the door and walked over to where Alex was digging through his drawers in the dresser. He knelt down behind him quietly, looking over his shoulder at what the teen grabbed. A few drops of water fell from Victor's hair onto the teen's shoulder. "Try this." He said as he pulled out shorts from the drawer, yes shorts. He never wore them, he bought them to... well to see why humans liked them so much. They were too awkward for him, he felt too much of a breeze. "And this." He pulled out a smaller shirt and handed it to him. Victor stood and walked over to the book case, opening a small box for the pills. The towel hardly held onto his body, threatening to fall off any second. He walked over to the dressed and pulled out some clothes, and headed for the bathroom, the towel falling just as he walked into the bathroom and closed the door.

Alex was a bit puzzled to Emelia’s actions. He didn’t catch what she had mumbled since it was said so low. He didn’t ask her what was the matter, he knew he wasn’t going to get an answer anyway.
A smile came to his lips hearing Victor’s response. He turned his focus back to the clothes instead of the vampire in the bathroom. The naked, hot male vampire. He blushed lightly shaking his head. The boy couldn’t find a single thing he could wear to school. All of Victor’s clothes were way too big for him. He thought about giving up, but then he felt some water drops on his shoulder. He jumped a little from shock and surprise.
The teen put a hand over his chest to calm his rapid speeding heart. “You didn’t have to sneak up on me Victor.” He said softly taking the shorts and shirt handed to him. Puzzled, he looked at the shorts then to Victor. He never had seen the vampire where shorts. Then again he was given a good view of said vampire in a towel. Alex shook his head again as his cheeks reddened. He peeked seeing if Victor was gone. Unfortunately he wasn’t and the boy got a view of his teacher that he never thought to see.
Alex turned his back to the bathroom his face red like a lobster. His mind kept seeing the same image. Tossing the pajamas to the floor, he changed into the shorts and t-shirt. The shorts were a little long for him for shorts, but they worked either way. He sat on Victor’s bed waiting for the bathroom to be free.

It didn't bother Victor that Alex had seen his naked body... plenty of people had, even Emelia! Victor dried off and pulled his pants on. The man sat on the counter, a hair dryer on as he dried his hair, holding it in front of his face. He enjoyed the hot air that came out of the blow dryer. The things humans came up with amazed him. He smiled, his face and hair already dry. He gave it a quick brush and pulled on his shirt, walking out to let Alex have the bathroom. Victor wore a dark green long sleeved shirt and black pants. "Hm, they don't look too bad, you cane have 'em." Victor walked to the closet, pulling out shoes and sitting next to Alex slipping the boots on then lacing them up. "Go on." He laughed, touching the back of Alex's neck, the palm of his hand resting on it. He stared at the teen as his fingers gently rubbed the side of the human's neck gently. He wondered what kind of lie he was going to have to tell to get out of this one with the school. Why his car was filled with bullet holes. Lucky for him the blood had washed away with the heavy rain. Victor stood back up and walked to the door. "I'm going to wake Rainieri. He needs to get going to find who is doing this." Victor said and left, closing the door behind him. He needed to clear this up so innocent vampires didn't have to be attacked. Victor laughed to himself. That even made him laugh! Innocent vampires... impossible. Victor ventured into the room and stared at Rainieri in the bed out cold. He walked over and gently shook his sire, waking him up and getting him out of bed. "Yeah yeah I know." Rainieri mumbled, walking to the downstairs bathroom. Victor headed out and stood in the living room, letting his mind wander to what could happen on Monday once he got back to work. He just hoped it wasn't anything that would cause him to leave. He took a liking to Alex and wanted to see him, even once Alex left back down the street to his home. Victor could always look forward to school, seeing him in there. Victor walked back upstairs to check up on said teen.

Alex swung his feet back and forth as he sat on the bed as he waited. His legs stopped in mid swing as he heard the bathroom door open followed by Victor’s voice. “Much appreciated Victor I can’t go around naked.” He smiled as he watched the vampire. He wasn’t sure why he didn’t hop off the bed to rush to the bathroom. The male’s hand resting on his neck didn’t encourage him any. That small touch glued him to the bed and Victor’s eyes held him in place. Alex was just amazed at the eyes he was looking into, they were why he couldn’t pull away.
He shook his head slightly when the vampire was walking toward the door. Was he love struck? He disliked the thought, but a small part of him liked it. “Alright then.” The teen said getting off the bed heading straight to the bathroom. He fixed his hair so that it didn’t look so much like bed head. Looking through the cabinets he found an extra toothbrush which he used.
Once he was finished with his freshening up he walked out of the bathroom. He was a little surprised to see Victor there, he had thought it would take a while to wake the other vampire. “I’m ready to go to school if you are. How did waking Rainieri go?” Alex asked simply out of curiosity.

"Well considering that he's not a morning person at all... it went well." Victor shrugged and looked over at Alex smiling at him. "Okay then let's go." The vampire walked downstairs and grabbed an umbrella. He waited for Alex, making sure that the both of them were under the umbrella before walking out. "Sorry we'll have to walk... I forgot my car is still at the school." He said as he glared at the rain slightly. He'd have to buy another one soon. He looked down at the ground, helping Alex get over a large puddle that would get his feet soaked. "Don't want you getting sick." He said as he patted the top of Alex's head and smiled at him. The streets were empty, hardly any cars passed them as they walked. The rain would lighten up then fall harder. "Wow' Victor began as he looked at the sky. 'it sure is coming down hard. Might snow... might be a big storm." He shrugged. They finally arrived at the school and Victor got Alex inside, shaking the umbrella to get the water off. "I'm going to the teacher's lounge, get your work and wait for me. I won't be that long." He promised and walked into the lounge. He had to convince them that he had lost his keys, gotten a ride to home from a friend, and that he had no idea how the bullet holes and shells got into his car. The vampire told them that he had to get going, that he would be at work early Monday to get his grades in. He left the room, going down the hall to find Alex. "Wait!" Somebody called Victor, making the vampire turn around. It was the auto shop teacher, he was a lycan. "Yes?" Victor asked as he looked over to him. "Don't get too cocky vampire." He hissed and stared at Victor who smiled slightly. "I'm not. Just a little white lie, we may be different races... but that's no reason to hate each other right? At least I can talk to you about... our world." He smiled at the lycan who looked a bit shocked. Victor actually wanted to be this lycan's friend so he wouldn't feel so alone. "I... I guess." The lycan said as he shifted where he stood.

“That’s good luck for you then.” Alex grabbed his camera before he went downstairs. He didn’t want to go anywhere without it. Maybe he could take some shots of Victor or possibly the school. Before he could ask about the umbrella the vampire answered. “A little exercise never hurt anyone.” He wouldn’t have mind if they had to walk in the rain. Then again that wouldn’t be good for his health. The boy smiled when Victor helped him over a large puddle that he knew he couldn’t jump over. “Thank you Victor. That’s very kind of you.” He smiled at the affection given.
At one point when the two were walking down a street Alex pulled away from Victor and took a couple pictures fairly quick of the vampire. ‘The rain coming down and a good looking guy holding an umbrella up, there could be a title there.’ He thought to himself getting back under the umbrella. Just in time too, since it had started to rain harder. “Yea, it’s like the weather can’t make up its mind or something. Weird.” He shook his head to help his hair dry from the little rain that fell on him when he got inside. “See you in a few then.”
He went to every one of his teachers asking for the work that he had missed. He didn’t really get that much work, well not enough to complain about. A folder filled with worksheets, a book to read for English, and one project for history. When the teachers asked him why he wasn’t in school, he answered with that he was sick and a family thing was going on at the time. Not a great combination and he got sympathy from a couple of his teachers. The students couldn’t care less why he wasn’t in school. That was normal treatment toward the teen.
Alex was walking toward the teacher’s lounge looking through his folder when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He tensed only to hear a soft laugh. “Don’t worry I’m not going to hurt you or anything. Just wanted to talk.” The hand disappeared as Alex turned around to face the boy in front of him. He felt out of place since no one talked to him before yet here was Darren talking to him. “What do you want to talk about?” Alex’s voice was his usual ‘I don’t care what you think’ voice. “About you hence why I’m talking to you. Are you doing ok? You have been out of school longer than normal for you.” Darren watched his reaction, but as usual Alex never really showed a reaction to what anyone said. Truthfully he was shocked at the other boy’s words. He never would’ve thought Darren would care about him let alone talk to him.
“That’s nice of you, but as you can see I’m fine.” He started to back away to get further to the lounge since he was suppose to meet Victor. “Yes I can see that, but that still doesn’t answer the question of what’s going on?” Darren met those steps without a beat. “I’m picking up the work that I missed, obviously.” Alex turned around and headed down the hall. “Alex wait.” Darren called after him. His steps quickened and he went around the corner a bit too fast. He ended up bumping into someone; all of his things fell to the floor.
“Sorry about that sir.” Alex didn’t recognize the teacher since he never had him before. He noticed Victor standing there. “Oh hello Mr. Chase. Sorry to interrupt you two.” The boy bent down picking up his fallen papers and book. Darren had caught up with him and helped his fellow student pick up his belongings. Alex just allowed it and soon was standing next to Darren not sure what to do. Darren had a strange look in his eyes as he gazed at the other boy. Fortunately for Alex, he couldn’t see it.

The two ended up talking more, Victor, momentarily, forgetting about Alex. The lycan spun around, ready to yell at whom ever bumped into him, but found that he had knocked the boy over. "It's... okay." The auto shop teacher bent down and picked up the book that flew from his hands and handed it to him. "Hello Alex, get all your work?" Victor asked, smiling at him, then glanced over to a male next to Alex. The vampire frowned at this. "No... it's fine." He said as he glared at the other male. "Come on Alex, let's get you home. You're still sick." Victor said as he helped him up and led him out of the building, waving to the lycan who waved back and left back into the lounge. "Who was that?" Victor asked, the umbrella back up. He was carrying Alex's things. He wasn't mad at Alex, it wasn't his fault, but he did feel jealousy and territorial of the teen. He had to get it out of his head. There was no reason to feel that way. "So would you like to come back to my house or would you like to go home?" Victor asked as he looked down at Alex. "Emelia is making a spice cake. She loves to make cakes and pies." He said with a small smile. Victor couldn't help but to think back to the other teen helping Alex. it bothered him... a lot. Victor's dark brows furrowed as he stared straight ahead without really seeing what was in front of him. He walked out into the street, a car passing right by him, honking at him. Victor snapped out of it and looked around, stepping back onto the sidewalk so the other cars could go. He didn't realize what was going on.

Alex cringed a little seeing that the teacher was going to yell at him. That quickly disappeared to a small smile seeing the teacher help him out. “Thank you.” He took the book into his arms along with all the rest of his stuff.
“Yes I got it all. Unfortunate as it may be.” He was confused now as to why was Victor frowning, which soon followed a glare. Darren was as surprised but covered it up with a smile. “I’m not that sick still you know.” He pouted slightly at his words. “Get better Alex and I’ll see you soon.” Alex gave a wave to the other boy as he was lead out of the building. It still puzzled him why Darren even talked to him. Maybe it was a big teasing plot or something.
“That was Darren. He is a well known guy and kind I guess.” Alex said softly thinking about him. It still bugged the boy. He liked that Victor took his things, but it felt like a sort of date. Like when a boy walks a girl home he carries her books. He considered what Victor had said. It made sense to go home, but he didn’t want to. He would be alone again. “I should go home, but I’d rather go home with you. I like being with you and Emelia. Also I’d be too paranoid of finding those other vampires if I go home.” He held his hands together, fidgeting. “I can’t wait to try her spice cake when we get to your house. It sounds tasty.”
When Alex finished speaking he hadn’t noticed that Victor kept walking forward. He felt the rain on his face as an indicator that the umbrella was gone. He took a couple steps to be standing on the sidewalk wondering why Victor didn’t stop there. He just kept on walking. “Victor!” He shouted when a car was coming right for him. Alex reached out taking the vampires arm and pulled him back. “You have to pay attention. You could’ve gotten really hurt.” His hands kept a hold on his arm as if to keep him by the teen’s side. “Is everything all right?”
