[Wind] Oasis

The oasis was one of the few places one could find a water source in all of the dessert. It was here that a squad of three ninjas from sunagakure have gathered to take a break. Even though there was peace between the Hidden Villages, Suna sent out a squad of ninjas to scout the desserts for any sort of disturbances, wether it be from foreign shinobis or from local bandits. This very squad was comprised of a single jounin and two chuunin ranked shinobis. Suddenly, the sounds of footsteps echoed in the night as the squad turned about, seeing the dark figure standing before them. The squad had taken out their kunais, bearing them towards the stranger. The leader of the squad took a single step forward, cautiously eyeing the stranger.

"We are shinobis of the Hidden Sand. What is your purpose here traveler and reveal yourself...else we'll have to respond with force,"warned the Jounin. Suddenly the lone man simply chuckled childishly, the type of devious laugh that signaled that he knew something that the squad didn't. "What can I say? I've strayed quite far from my path and have no way of getting back...I'm sure one of you two could show me the way to Sunagakure..." the wanderer told them, as he pointed to the shinobi on the right with his index finger. "The man can't even count...there's three of us," the chuunin on the right laughed, the one that was being pointed to. Suddenly, the wanderer's fingers stretched out, as if reaching out to the man laughing. Just as he stretched out his fingers, the wanderer clenched his fist and latched unto the space in front of him, grabbing unto some unknown object that the squad couldn't even begin to comprehend. The wanderer then brought his arm back forcefully, still clutching unto that imagenary object. The laughter suddenly stopped, filled with piercing screams as the chuunin was launched into the air and heading straight towards the wanderer. It was as if some invisible force was pulling him rapidly. Clenching his other fist, the wanderer took a single step forward with his right foot, his fist sailing through the air as it connected with the chuunin's jaw. The other two didn't know how to respond as the chuunin now flew through the air and splashed hard inside the oasis, his unconcious body floating on the water's surface battered and defeated from just a single punch.

"YOU b*****d!" shouted the other chuunin as he suddenly rushed towards the wanderer, double kunais in hand. "NO STOP!" warned the leader, but it was too late. The chuunin was halfway towards the wanderer. The wanderer took his stance, his right foot forward, his left foot behind him as his cloack wavered in the wind. Placing his right hand upon the hilt of the blade, the wanderer pressed his left thumb upon the guard. As the chuunin was now in range, the shinobi took a single step forward, unsheathing his blade. Even the leader couldn't follow with the tremendous speed displayed by the wanderer. All he could see now was the wanderer, his blade unsheathed and in the air, while his squadmate had his back turned towards him. Suddenly an explosion of blood flowed through the air as his squadmate was now lying unconcious on the ground, blood dripping down from the tip of his sword. The leader's mouth dropped, too stunned to even form coherent words.

"Don't worry...he's not dead, and he won't be dying anytime soon. You were merely doing your job. I do suggest however that you take this as a lesson," the wanderer explained as he pointed his blade at the leader with his right, his left hand held up next to his face. The fingers of his left hand were outstretched, twitching slightly as they pointed at the leader. As the leader trembled, he found himself moving towards the wanderer slowly, warily, as if he was being controlled...as if he were some sort of puppet in the wanderer's control."That lesson...never underestimate your opponent, because it could very well cost you your life."

 

[Hinote Tosatsu]

As Akura got closer to the camp, he would be able to make out the features of the bandits much more clearly, and begin to hear their conversations. "So," the man with the spiked gloves spoke up. He was a scrawny man, not very tall, and you could almost see his bones through his flesh, but he had a wide grin on his face. "what are you guys going to do with your cut?" he grinned at the other three around the first, from his spot leaning against a bedroll, coincidentally on the far side from where Akura would enter the clearing.

"None of your business." the man with the old sword muttered sharply, not even sparing the younger man a glance. This man was only slightly better built than the last, and older looking than the rest in the group, with his large greying beard. He was taller than all but one other in the camp though, and looked as if he would stand at about seven feet. On closer inspection, one would notice that he also had a shield to go with his sword, and was wearing a fairly aged set of iron armor. Not exactly a common thing in the desert, but he seemed comfortable in it.

"Oh let up on the kid." the hammer wielding one spoke up. This man was tall, not as tall as the last, but significant, standing at about six feet. His body was well built and muscular, undoubtedly the reason for his chosen weapon. He was leaning on a tree a short distance from the group, smiling oddly to himself. "Me, I'll buy beer. Lots of it. Have a party or something." he smirked happily, eyes half closed as he thought about whatever it was he intended.

"Hmmph. Food's ready." the last of the four spoke up, not involving himself in the conversation. This man was by far the largest. Standing at least eight feet tall, he was a hulk of a man. Not muscular, but not fat either, he was simply huge. His body combined with his weapon, a large club, showed he was one to throw his weight around in a fight.

Further conversation was cut off at the sound of something thudding into the sand near the fire. At the sight of the kunai, the three weapon wielding bandits had their weapons in hand, the armored one even picking up his shield as they began scanning the area for their attacker. It was getting dark, being late into the evening, so they couldn't quite spot Akura, even though they could tell the general direction the attack had come from.

The fourth bandit reacted differently from the others, as his eyes picked up on what theirs did not. A slip of paper wrapped around the kunai hilt. Eyes widening, the man jumped back a good distance from the weapon, yelling for the others to do the same, his clawed gloves were on his hands before he even landed.

The man with the hammer dove behind the same tree he'd been leaning on as the explosion went off, distance from the attack and a solid object keeping him safe. The massive club wielding cook actually dove into the water of the oasis, while the armored man hunkered down, putting his shield between him and the blast, coming out with little more than singed hairs from the heat for his trouble.

One of the tents actually ripped from it's moorings in the blast, flying away with the heatwave and exposing another man to view. This man was quite average in looks, wearing desert robes and wielding a simple cutlass for his weapon. Stunned by the tent ripping away from him, the man sat up, half tangled in his bedroll as he grasped for the blade beside him.

The other tent remained where it was, but the sound of someone moving could be heard within it, should one care to listen for it over the rest of what was going on.

The three men who were originally around the fire were all on alert again, scanning the area they knew their attacker to be for any sign of movement, whether it be to attack or flee, while the fourth began lumbering his way back out of the water.

The sight of what the bandits thought to be their attacker removed all tension from their stances. A child? Ninja, yes, but a child was sent after them? The one tangled in his own bedroll managed to free himself and stand, but he made no move to attack. Nor did the armored man, nor the youngest of the group and the hammer wielder. The man in the tent even seemed to decide not to come out after hearing the young voice, deeming it below his notice. The others could easily handle a child.

One man though, didn't relax at all. The massive cook kept walking towards the clone, dripping wet, and practically steaming with fury. He'd spent all day cooking that pig. That pig that was now floating in chunks in the oasis. Not only that, he'd been forced to dive into the water himself to avoid the boy's explosive. The brute was livid. "You should never have come here." he growled, pulling his massive club from the leather strap that kept it on his back, and charging towards the boy, swinging the club sideways at him, fully intending to smash every bone in his body.

At his best, the man wasn't fast at all, but if his attack did hit, it would indeed smash not only the boy's ribs as he intended, but the clone into pieces.
