Trent nibbled on the seed for a few more seconds, while all hell seemed to break loose in the class room. He tossed the seed aside perching himself on the edge of the books to watch everything going on. "Interesting school they have here...," He thought to himself before skittering to the other side of the book shelf to get a better view.

Aurora just stared at the European man. "Hello," she said blandly. "You are the PE teacher, correct?" She went to sit at her seat. It didn't really matter to her whether he was or not, she simply wanted to know. All she recalled about the PE teacher was that the PE teacher was a male, not a female.

"Well then at least one of you isn't out for blood. Right you are miss, although I wouldn't exactly call myself a teacher. More of a slacker that was turned away when he came a knockin' on the doors wanting to be a student here. If only someone would have told me this was an all girls school before I left." It seemed to those in the room that he most likely did know it was an all girls school when he arrived. "Not wanting to walk all the way back to beautiful Austria, I convinced your wonderful headmaster to accept me as a sort of hired-hand. Basically I run all the outdoor activities, and I do so enjoy dropping in on classes when I get the chance. I came all the way here and this is now my home, why not learn a thing or two at the same time hm?"
He stopped momentarily, as if trying to decide what he should say next.
"Well then, for those of you who I've yet to have the pleasure of meeting, allow me. I'm Severance Oleander. A bit of a flashy name I know, try to look past it."

Aurora just blinked and nodded slightly in acknowledgement. "All right."

Miriam was in a similar situation as Evermore, though for an entirely different reason. This was an interruption to her class, and it was a male, no less. It took all her willpower not to strangle the man, and even then, the vines closest to him were steadily twitching. If Severance wanted to drop in on the class, that was fine, but couldn't he have gone about it in a way that didn't draw so much attention to himself?

Miriam could feel a headache coming on as she started to address the man. She knew him from when he first came to the school, seeing as how almost nothing comes and goes through the grounds without her knowing. Even then, she could tell he was a bit of a showboat, intent on eliciting a smile from girls everywhere. And perhaps more. "Mr. Oleander, while I don't mind you dropping in on my class to learn things, could you please do so from a desk? Or in a way as to not interrupt my teachings?"

Evermore felt Akira rub her back and appreciated it, but she could feel her professor's anger rising substantially. She could completely appreciate her anger at someone interrupting her class in such a way, but damn it hurt....

Evermore groaned softly in pain.

Arielle gazed thoughtfully out her window, watching the forest. What was happening? That boy, Trent, had said something along the lines of the forest being in danger... Since Bai Ching was surrounded by forest, was her school in danger? She was worried, but she saw no reason to tell the students or any one other than Miriam of this development. There was no reason to worry people when the threat wasn't even quite a threat yet.

Sighing, she returned to her work, finishing the parts that she had left earlier.

Finally, thankfully, the bell finally rang, signaling that the current classes were over. That was the longest hour and a half she could ever remember.

Ever quickly jumped off of her chair and practically ran out of the classroom. She would have waited for Akira, but Ever just had to get out of there. Besides, if she could remember correctly, Akira had a class right after this one. Ever didn't. So Ever was going to hang outside the entrance of the school for awhile. It had the best view of the gardens, the forest, and the magical lake. It was wonderful... AND relaxing, which is just what Ever needed.

So, she walked up to the school's entrance, sat down on a big rock beside the large double doors, and focused on the gorgeous view.

Caroline leisurely approached the main entrance of Bai Ching. As it was surrounded by mountains, it was a bit of a hike - but not too bad. Caroline was physically strong, and besides, the ground leveled out a bit the closer she got to the school. It really was a beautiful place. The trees rippled with so many wonderful shades of green, and the sky was so clear and light. Everything was so peaceful and clean.

The young girl smirked to herself. Oh, how proud she was! All her siblings had gotten to choose where to go to school. Her oldest brother had picked a school close to home, in northern Europe. What a nightmare. Apparently it was so bad, that he only told their parents part of what it was like. To Caroline, it seemed like a sleazy, dirty, and dark school. But, maybe it wasn't like that anymore. Her brother went back there and became Headmaster. It had to have been really bad, if he decided he could do a better job than the last Headmistress when he was fresh out of college.

Her other brothers, twins, decided to be more conventional, and go to a private art-based school in the States. Who knew what they were doing now - but that's why Caroline was the family favorite. She made the best choices. Unlike her brothers, she picked Bai Ching to go to school. It was an all-girl's school, no silly boys to cause mayhem. Girls could do enough of that on their own. Bai Ching also specialized in white magic. Magic was power, and it was dark magic that screwed up her oldest brother. White magic was surely the path to success. She'd graduate from Bai Ching as a sophisticated and intelligent young woman, just like her mother, and she'd go into the family business and she'd be rich and powerful and popular and -

Caroline had reached the doors, and leaned against them. She took deep breaths. She had to. She had to breathe, to gather her nerves. The palms of her hands were damp, and her legs were shaking. Gosh, she hated new schools so much.

Ever had seen someone approaching the school that she didn't recognize. It must be a transfer student or something. She wasn't old enough to be a new teacher or parent. She was a student's age.

When she came to rest against the big double doors, gasping for air, Ever bit her lip to try to keep from laughing. She wouldn't be laughing AT the young girl, per say, but more at the situation. What a way to start off at a new school...

When she was sure she wouldn't laugh, Ever cleared her throat and spoke up to the girl. She didn't look at her, but did say something.

"The trek up here gets better the more you get used to it."

... Someone had seen her? Someone was watching Caroline in this moment of weakness?!

Well, alright, it wasn't that much of an insult. She was just nervous, that was all. Nervous was natural.

Caroline turned around, leaning with her back against the giant doors to Bai Ching. Her expression was one of mild insult and disagreement. "I'm not out of breath," she corrected the other girl, who had her face turned and was staring right ahead. "I'm better than that."

When the bell rang, Aurora stood up quietly and dutifully packed her things in a precise order that she alone could decipher the reason for. She lifted her bag and walked out the door in all her monotonous glory without a single glance or any form of recognition to other students or to the teacher. Looking briefly to her right so as to ensure that she would not be in any unexpected collisions while going about her daily routine, she headed to the left and back to the main building.

She didn't technically have a class right now, but she always spent her third hour in the library, reading or doing homework, and she saw no reason not to continue this predetermined path today. Later, she would walk through the busiest halls to her next class, even though she was well aware that there were more roundabout and less frequented ways to get to the room.

The Fury was caught off guard at what the girl said. She turned her head to look at the girl and arched her eyebrow in question. Seeing that the girl was quite serious, Ever burst out in laughter. Loud and long laughter.

After a few moments, when her laughter died down, Ever wiped away the tears from her eyes and shook her head in amusement. "Oh my. Wow. Please excuse my laughter, but I really could not contain it. Are you telling me that you think you are better than physics and biology? Walking up that hill would tire anyone out."
PostPosted: Sun Feb 07, 2010 8:33 pm

"Up the hill was fine," Caroline said indignantly. Why did this girl have the nerve to laugh at her like that? "It's going down that's the hard part. Your center of gravity changes, and not everyone figures out how to accommodate for that."

She put her hands on her hips. No more deep breaths for her, she had forgotten all about those. "If the walk had tired me out, I'd be all sweaty. As it is, my skin is cool and my hair isn't lank and greasy. So obviously, I wasn't sweating, which means I wasn't exerting force, which means I'm not tired." Caroline set her jaw and turned away. Why did you always have to go through the door in order to get to the school?

Since she was a creature of retribution, Ever didn't really let up on people to be kind. She was kind, but it wasn't in her nature to just take it easy on someone. So she continued to push.

She crossed her arms over her chest and smirked at the girl. "Then why in the world are you winded?"
