Tessiebean Jinnari Kisaragi Ok...I suggest that we change the name of the Photo Album thread. I mean...It is a great thread and everything but I think it throws people. People keep posting only pics and replying to pics in there. The camwhore thread is where to do that. The Photo Album thread is ACTUALLY for profiles. Why is it not called that? I don't know. I think it should be and I want to run this by the other mods and some members before I do it and get chewed out for it. sweatdrop What do you suggest we rename it as? Picture Profiles or something catchier? We *meaning the mods* will have to go through that thread and delete the people who post replies to pics, why don't people read the rules? *le sigh* It isn't really the catchiness of it that concerns me. It is the fact that it is named one thing and is used for another. I am just suggesting something that will make it a little more user friendly. sweatdrop

Our supposed consolidation of the reads really didn't do anything. In fact, I think it's worse off than before.
Our News and announcements thread is higly underused, and we should start using it, and we can easily fit alot of t0paz's threads in there.
The Thread Deleted thread can go under the rules. The newbie answer thread can go under the FAQ (which I hopefully will get to working on soon). And The Hiatus thread can go there too under announcements. So can Jinnari's Bulletin board thread.
Tessie's Intro thread and Ulcer's Photoalbum thread are both redundant. One new thread entitled something like "The Members of SnS" is more than sufficient to provide profile information without commentary. For photowhoring and commentary, that's what PYSNSA was established in oct for to do.
I also think that Tessie's bar thread should be destickied. Mainly because it's not as effective as she hoped to clear up these personal problem threads.
From nine stickies to two to four tops. Whatcha think?

I suggested a long time ago that we put more in the announcement thread but no one listened to me. - - I honestly think the newbie anwsered thread should stay where it is. WHy add uneccesary pages to the announcements. No one will want to read through it. I also said the bulletin board and announcements should go together, it's basically the same thing. The "deleted threads" topic doesn't fit on the rules page, it'd seem out of place. Why do we need a FAQ thread when we have rules and announcements? Hiatus thread should stay where ppl can see it just so we don't get any misplaced threads like that because ppl don't pay attention. We should give Tessie's bar a little more time to be stickied because we get so many advice threads popping up at random times. In the rules it should be stated clearly that all advice be asked for at the bar.

We could unsticky the intro thread though because whenever I grant newbies entry to our guild I give them a link to it.

The 'Why was my thread deleted' should be in FAQ, not rules & announcements.
We don't need any new intro threads. If you remember, that's why we created my photo album in the first place. Because we had too many intro threads and picture threads.
Obviously meshing threads together doesn't work, and trying to fix everything isn't working either, so why not just leave it alone?
I don't think there's anything wrong with the guild at all.

Ok. I think that the "Why was my thread deleted?" thread needs to come down. If I have to lock or, heaven forbid, delete a thread (which still I have not had to do yet) I would just PM the person who started it with the reason. I mean...why does there need to be a thread devoted to something that a simple PM could solve? And if a thread is deleted and we are affraid someone else will do the same thing...we could ammend the rules to cover the new gap in posting.
Also...the "Bulletin board" thread seems to not be used much. Even if there is ever an announcement no one ever PMs me or anything and the "Goodbye/hiatus" thread takes away all other possible posts there. It was a good idea if people use it for what it is used for... sweatdrop It hurts my pride but it is wasting space. If you have to....let me take it down. It was my baby afterall. cry *sniffs*

You made some good suggestions Jinnari...if you want to take down the Bulletin Board you can.
Is everyone else in agreement about getting rid of the Goodbye thread as well?

I meant the Bulletin Board and the Why was my thread Deleted need to go. The goodbye thread was mentioned in opposition to the Bulletin Board. I will add my compliled list of the people who left to the opening post of the goodbye thread.

A suggestion or two from me:
Stop locking threads for being off topic or for having a picture in them or something. What's the point of being so strict? It seems like that's why you don't have so many active members, you know? You're way too strict. 3nodding
