It seemed like an ongoing path that Akita was following towards this strange glow. For all she knows, it could have just been a brightly glowing firefly. As she neared the glowing, it seemed to fade.
As if all hope had been lost at that moment as the light faded back into the darkness of the night and forest. Before all hope was lost, however, something grabbed Akita by the shoulder. Something warmer than the cold, unforgiving weather outside. Someone else was crazy enough to stand outside in this sheer cold. "Ich sehe dich." No doubt at all, with the voice and thick German accent, it was definitely Kain.

Akita stood dead still aside from the uncontrollable shivering the cold had induced. "G-gibberish... No... German.." Akita raised a hand up and placed it over what had grabbed her shoulder. She remained like this for a moment before turning her head to peer behind her. "Kain..? Is that you?" Her hands were like ice as she hadn't brought a pair of gloves with her, she had been trying to rely on her hands tucked into her sleeves to try to keep them warm.

Kain's eyes looked as cold as ever and frozen on Akita, surprised that she actually waited this long and came this far in the cold without proper winter clothing. "Bitte." He rolled his eyes a little bit and took off his long coat like a crazy man to be doing in the freezing winter and gave it to Akita to have for more warmth. Underneath his coat, he just wore his usual muscle sure with almost straight jacket-like straps and buckles on it. Kain didnt say anything else except grab Akita by the upper arm and drag her towards where the glowing WAS that she saw. It was a little further than what it seemed, but once they got there, there was just a large tree. Bigger than the both of them... Probably the biggest one in the forest and could easily provide a home for three Nocts. It seemed almost as if it did. In the tree, there was a small hole carving inside of it; the tree was hollow. "Nachlaufen..."
Kain got down on all fours to be able to squeeze through the hole carving in the tree's trunk, expecting Akita to follow him from behind.

Akita took the coat and looked at Kain as if he was nuts to remove his coat, even if it was to provide more warmth for her. "Kain, you're nuts.." Despite that she draped the coat over herself and pulled it tight.
Feeling Kain grab her arm and lead her off she stumbled slightly her first few steps but followed him to the tree no less. "A giant tree..? You're all the way out here in this cold playing in trees..?" She gave a warm breath into her hands to warm them up slightly and watched as he crawl his way into the tree. "Kain..?" She took a step towards it and dropped herself down onto the snow to keep inside, "In there..?" Confused as to what would be inside of such a place she crept in slowly after Kain and peered around.

As Akita moved in, Kain was gentleman enough to grab Akita's arm again and help her through the hole. It certainly wasnt any warmer in there, but at least snow stopped falling on them both from inside there. From inside the tree, Akita could understand now what the glowing was coming from...and it seemed almost impossible to have imagined what it did come from.
Ice. The entire inside of the tree trunk was glowing blue and reflecting from the trunk's sides and turning it blue. But not just any ice, was this. They were all carved into shapes and decorated about the tree trunk rather creatively. But the first thing there, in the center of the trunk, was a large icicle-platform-like shape with a figure on the very top of it. It was...what it looked like was Akita, in icicle form. Perfectly carved and shaped to fit her current physique. She seemed to be dancing. And the rest of the icicles hanging around like ornaments; they were in shapes of musical notes as if they were the music the ice Akita was dancing to. The entire inside of the trunk seemed to glimmer with the sparkling of the ice. This is what Kain was working on the entire time they last saw face-to-face. And he finally had a chance to show it.

Once she was completely inside she saw the stunning blue glow of the ice again. Her eyes widened at the sight inside. "Kain.." Her hand went to touch the ice but stopped, careful not to disturb the beauty of it. "This is absolutely stunning Kain.. You did, all of this in the time you were away?" She couldn't stop, her eyes wondered the inside, examining the ice from top to bottom. The beauty of it was something she'd never once seen before when it came to ice and cold. Her attention shifted to look at Kain finally, "I love it Kain.. I've never seen anything like it.." She was glad she had waited and wondered out into the woods, it made baring the cold worth it. On top of the beautiful ice work, once again she had gotten to see Kain.

Though, gone unnoticed, there at the very top of the tree trunk were icicles stereotypically shaped like snowflakes. They were dangling far above and looked like a glimmering blue sky. It was obvious that Kain overdid the trunk with his artistic craftsmanship, but nonetheless, it looked good. And Akita liked it. And he was happy, but he only showed it with a slight nod, with his eyes closed, stopping his head to bow down towards the ground of the trunk which was covered in snow too. "Ja..." As Kain made his way closer to Akita to view his ice from her point of view, he wrapped his arms around Akita in a slight hug, before it became a tight hug. His fur actually felt warm, and it's a wonder how he didnt feel cold at all without his coat. "Und... I vould like it if you vould be mein...mate. Ich liebe dich, Mizz Akita."

Akita watched his movements as moved closer and puller her into a hug. She wrapped her arms around him and kept quiet for awhile as she felt his warmth against her. It felt wonderful in the cool air to have a source of heat near her. She took his words in. Trying to get closer to him in their hug she closed her eyes and smiled. Her lip trembling as if she were about to begin to cry at any given moment. "I.. I would be honored to be your mate Kain." She opened her eyes and looked up at him, a sole tear rolling down her cheek. She's done it. She's conquered her fear and final had something that would work. "I love you too Kain," she slipped a soft, quiet chuckle, "I at least know that much German."

Without saying another word or breaking the warming hug, Kain brushed his face against the side of Akita's and literally kissed away the tear that escaped from her eye with his lips, then moving his head to the side of Akita's neck to kiss there, as well. He was shaking very slightly, but not from the cold. "Bitte...Please...stay vith me." Kain spoke ever so softly, even though no one else was there to hear it. Even his soft voice was enough to send a cold chill down anyone's back, but there was a slight tone in his voice that let Akita know that he meant it. And he was desperate; Kain wanted to get closer to Akita. Now, he was the one that felt cold, but not in the physical sense.

Akita reached a hand up and stroked his hair. Kain was much more gental then his large appearence let on. She listened to him speak in the cold silence of the woods, inside the ice covered hollow of the decorated tree. "I.. I'll stay with you always Kain. For as long as you wish me to be there.. I will be." Her hand went from his hair to softly run along his jawline. She was ready to dedicate herself to Kain in anyway. Lucus had already been warned that she would be leaving his side to be with her mate once she had found one, and here he was no before her. "Anything you ask of me Kain.. I will do."

Kain was able to take in all that was needed about him. No longer did he have to feel so lonely and without someone to love. Surely, Vempyremon left his mind long ago when he started to work on the icicle trunk. She would be left alone. Though, despite having not be around in the social world or around the Noct town in a while, he still managed to learn of certain news and bearings. No matter what, information always got to Kain somehow. The same way the news spread about Akita being in love with him. Kain smiled faintly a bit and looked in Akita's direction without moving his head, "...Now, vhat vas all zhis talk about vanting a child?"

"A-about wanting a child?" Akita felt her face get a bit warm as she blushed. After learning Kain had been out here she figured he wouldn't have known much about what had been going on back at the manor or in the town. "W-well.. I mean..." She stumbled over her own words, "Being a mother.. I've always help other raise their children so.." She knew she was blushing more and getting more flustered as she tried to respond to Kain's question. As she finished responding she was almost too embarrassed to look at him, "Being a mother.. I'd like to have children of my own. Have my own family."

The more Akita stuttered, the more Kain smiled and enjoyed watching her stutter and find some way to respond. He had no problem looking at her even though she had a hard time doing so, eyes as cold as ever. He gave Akita a small kiss on the cheek and moved a hand to the back of Akita's neck and through her hair while she was blushing like a ripe cherry. "Zhen, you may like my Christmas present für you." Kain still seemed as mysterious as ever, especially with the sly grin now on his face, baring his shiny white fangs.

Akita turned back to look at him, her face truly bright red. "L-like my christmas present from you? I guess I'll have to wait for tomorrow to see then won't I?" She purred at feeling Kain's touch again after waiting so long. Despite the cold, she'd happily spend the night here in the iced tree or anywhere else he wanted to go. "You have.. a wonderful smile Kain." a smile took over her own blushing face as she softly made the remark.
