"Well, we should probably get going to go get some of that yucca." Autumnpaw meowed. "Save that fish for later and we'll feed the elders with it."

Waterpaw nodded, unsettled by her new powers. "Okay, let's go." She mewed.

Autumnpaw lead the way to the the gorge. He sniffed at some yucca, signaling for Waterpaw to come near, and allowing Gingerpaw to do her own work.
"Alright, this is yucca, we want the leaves, not the stems with berries, okay? So, in order to get it push down the outer leaves since these are the ones that protect the plants." Autumnpaw did so and moves so Waterpaw could see, "Be careful because the leaves are sharp, but do you see where it goes from green to yellow? Well, bend the leaf back at the yellow, and it should snap. Severe the last few strands, and then we've got a good yucca leaf."
Autumnpaw finished his leaf and stepped back for Waterpaw to try. He began to work on another yucca, carefully gathering each leaf one at a time.

Waterpaw listened and did as she was told, collecting a rather large pile of yucca to take back to camp.

"The nice thing about these is that they don't lose their shape easily. So we can use them to help carry the rest of the herbs." Autumnpaw meowed. He picked up the yucca, and lead Gingerpaw and Waterpaw through the forest, gathering all the herbs they needed before heading back to camp.

Waterpaw smiled at Autumnpaw as they made it back to camp. She dropped off her load at the medicine cat den and headed back to get the two fish she had accidentally caught. Fetching the two fish, she brought them back to the camp and went into the elder's den. "Here. Fish."
Brackentail looked at the fish appreciatively. "Did you catch it?"
Waterpaw looked at Brackentail. "Kinda."
Brackentail nodded. "Well done."

Autumnpaw dropped off the supplies and finished helping clean up the den as well as sorting the herbs. He padded out of the den and over to the apprentice den. He sat outside of it and began to groom himself.

Waterpaw sat down outside the apprentice den and stared up at the sky.
Why has all of this happened to me without me knowing anything? I don't even know who my parents are, and now I have the power to catch fish without getting wet. What's wrong with me?

Autumnpaw glanced at Waterpaw and wondered if he should tell her. However, he decided against it and continued to groom himself.

(Sorry about being gone so long! I was dragged, literally kicking and screaming, out of town.)
Cinderkit waved her tail at Thunderpaw and headed toward the elders den. She wanted to help out some more, in any way she could.

Autumnpaw spotted Cinderkit scurry over to the elders den, and he meowed a quick farewell to Waterpaw before following after her.
"So, what brings you to the elders?" He asked.

Cinderkit looked up at Autumnpaw and jumped in astonishment. She hadn't seen him come up. "I'm just gonna find ways to pass the time until I'm an apprentice. The elders can tell me stories and I can do things for them to show how great of an apprentice I'll be!"
