Foenix made her way quietly along the path leading into the heart of Cetalu. Between the rush of setting up her new home and the rain of the past few days, she had not found much time to get a good look at the rest of the settlement. She was also hoping to run into one or more of the other guardians.
Nehanda trotted along quickly behind her, stopping now and then to nibble at something growing alongside the path. There were just so many interesting plants!

Nyxa was watching the boys dink around on the beach, leaning forward every so often to screech a warning. "Stay away from the water!" "Don't throw sand!" "Julian, don't let Luc eat that!" It was exhausting being the guardian for two rambunctious boys!
Luckily Nyxa knew that she'd never really have to worry about Luc flying about, getting hung up in trees and the like. All she'd really have to worry about would be the trouble these two were sure to cause.
Out of the corner of her eye she caught sight of a stranger with what looked to be a.. what? Horse and swan? The little gryphon was just gorgeous! With a huge wave to the stranger she rose, calling the boys up from the beach.

Foenix returned the wave eagerly, quickening her pace to meet the woman standing by the water's edge. A soft "merp!' from behind her made her stop. Looking back, she watched Nehanda launch herself into the air and fly shakily to catch up.
"I'm sorry, sweetie. Why don't you justride on my shoulder, 'kay?" At Nehanda's thankful nod, she gathered the little gryphon into her arms and trotted over to meet her neighbor.
"Afternoon. I'm Foenix, and this is Nehanda here. You must be one of the other guardians, right?" She looked over the woman's shoulder, and saw a sleek little gryphon with brightly-covered feathers. Oh, such colors!

Nyxa nodded, a huge grin on her face. "I'm Nyxa. It's a pleasure to meet you. This," she pointed to the gryphon, "is Lucius, Luc for short, and this," she pointed to the little red-cheeked boy who held Luc in his arms, "is Julian." Nyxa ruffled Julian's hair before turning her attention back to the gryphon that Foenix held. "She's so pretty! Which house do you two occupy?"
Luc had taken a keen interest in the other gryphon, fluttering his wings and preening. He had to show off his beautiful feathers and bright red comb. One never knew who was watching.

Foenix grinned at Luc's antics. "Handsome little fellow, isn't he?' she murmured. "We live over in the two-level cabin with the planters out front and the big pond. Took some doing to get that thing set, let me tell you."
Nehanda, meanwhile, was peering down from Foenix's arms at the other gryphon. She wasn't quite sure what to make up him, and wasn't quite sure what she was supposed to do. Foenix had been so embarressed when she had taken off the other day, flying after Alyosha . . . Was she allowed to get down and greet this stranger?
Foenix looked down and realized Nehanda's dilemma. Kneeling, she put the little girl down onto the ground, and gave her a friendly shove toward Luc. Standing, she gave apologetic shrug. "Nehanda hasn't met any of the other gryphons yet. She might be a little nervous."

Lucius squirmed in Julian's arms until the little boy set him on the ground. With a toss of his head, Luc trotted around the other Aerandir, neck feathers flashing the sunlight. His iridescent tail thrashed about behind him, and as he came full circle around the other Aerandir, a little rurr escaped his beak. Quite the sassy showoff, Luc spread his wings in order to display the pretty feathers out for Nehanda.
Nyxa chuckled, an arm comfortably resting along Julian's shoulders. "Aye, he's a pretty boy, the bad thing is that he knows he's a pretty boy." She chuckled again, watching the gryphons interact. "Since breaking out of the jar, this is the second gryphon that he's met."

Nehanda watched as Lucius circled her. Timidly, she stretched out a wing of her own, brushing the other gryphon's pretty feathers.
Foenix chuckled in appreciation at Nyxa's words. "Oh, I can certainly understand that! One of my other charges, who stayed back at the cabin today, is so full of her pretty self that I'm surprised she doesn't pop." She placed her hands on her hips as watched the little gryphons. "they're almost like night and day, aren't they. Luc with his gorgeous dark colors and outgoing personality, and my pale, shy little Nehanda."
She looked around them. "So, do you live nearby?"

Nyxa laughed, shaking her head. "I've got one of those back at home, myself. Adrienne knows she's a little temptress." Her eyes remained glued on the gryphons. She knew that Luc wouldn't hurt Nehanda, but she wanted to avoid any tussles.
Luc stretched forth his neck and nipped playfully at the pale-feathered Nehanda. He seemed to love her long tail, though, pawing at it and nipping at it with little gentle pecks.
(Argh, sorry I'm taking forever to reply. I'm working, too. XD))

Nehanda's ears flattened back, and she turned so that her tail was out of Luc's reach. Launching herself into the air, she dipped over the gryphon's head. Staring at his wings, she wondered if he could also fly. As she fluttered around the larger boy, she ducked her head and momentarily tugged gently on his own tail feathers. They were just so pretty!
Foenix sat down and pulled her carry-sak from her shoulder. "Are you hungry?" she asked. "I brought lunch, since i wasn't sure how long we'd be out. I've got a bottle of juice and some iced tea, and a bunch of nibbles. Nehanda doesn't like meat, but I'd be willing to bet that Luc does."
(( biggrin don't worry. I'm trying to figure out my new tablet, so I'm sort of jumping back and forth too.))

Luc looked almost enviously at the other gryphon, snatching his tail out from her reach. He flapped his wings in an angry action, never lifting more than a few feet from the ground. Disgruntled, he decided to start pecking angrily at the ground beneath his feet, every-so-often glaring up at Nehanda.
Nyxa rubbed Julian's back; the little boy seemed to be entranced by the food that Foenix was pulling out of the bag she carried. "Oh, food would be wonderful. I'm not sure if Luc likes meat yet, we haven't really played the 'lets guess what Luc likes' game yet." Nyxa plopped down on the ground, Julian soon following.

Nehanda noticed Luc's sudden change in mood and immediately dropped to the ground. When Foenix started ignoring someone, it usually meant she was mad. Was Luc mad? She inched closer and softly nosed at his haunch with her bill. What was wrong?
Foenix nodded and brought out the bottle of juice and a thermos of iced tea. "Well, help yourselves. I've got a group with such a variety of eating habits that it tends to be one of the first things i do with a new little one. I've got two equines, one of which eats the usual grains and greens, and one who prefers to hunt down bunny rabbits. Sometimes he even brings me his left-overs, like a cat." Foenix grimaced a bit at the thought. "Then there's my Fenthry, who only eats fruit, and my Jivvin, who will eat anything she can steal from beneath my nose!"
She proceeded to spread tupperware containoers with chopped veggies and fruit, some biscuits, a turkey sandwich cut into quarters, and some chocolate brownies.

Fae had just exited the Centre and begun to walk home- allll the way on the other side of the village, closest to the beach. >< It was a good 10 minutes walk.
She wore her usual bag over her shoulder with her jar tucked inside, along with a few writting utencils and notebooks. Noticing activity closest to her home, in the distance she could see quite a few people. Curious, she walked closer and saw a familuar face: Nyxa. More relaxed, she walked over and waved. " 'Ello Nyxa!" She smiled until she was within hearing range. She looked to the person standing next to her and gasped. Who was that? !!! "Feonix?!" Fae froze before she found her legs and ran over. "Oh my gosh! I didn't expect to see you here!" She grinned, so happy to know an old friend of hers was on the same forigne island. She looked at her shoulder, seeing the Fenthry. "Hey Freya," she greeted the pretty Fenthry. She then wondered if she remembered her.
((I know my name changed from Twizzler, but lets just pretend my name has always been Fae? ^^; Or we can just go with remembering looks and I can say she changed her name. It's up to you.))

Nyxa greeted Fae as she approached, grinning foolishly, "Hey, Fae!" She was far too busy stuffing her face, really. It was food, real food. Ohgoodness. Julian, too, was eating as fast as he could. She would have to make a visit to the mainland soon in order to purchase some food. Clams, berries and wild lettuce weren't cutting it.
Lucius squawked quietly flapping his wings in a flurry of movement. He made it a foot from the ground before falling back to his feet, forlornly eyeing Nehanda's wings. His little body trembled indignantly, tail thrashing about behind him. Suddenly he pounced Nehanda; it looked vicious, but he was merely being playful.

Foenix waved happily to Fae. "I haven't seen you in forever! How're things going? Come join us."
From where she hid beneath Foenix's hair, Freya peeked and waved shyly at Fae. she could just barely remember the woman from the shop where she had been born.
Foenix flushed and looked over at Nyxa. "Sorry I didn't introduce her sooner, but Freya's really, really shy. She tends to throw fits if i parade her in front of strangers."
Nehanda's eyes went wide, and a most unmusical squawk emerged from her bill. She toppled over, spindly equine legs unused to such rough handling, no matter how good-natured it was meant to be. From where she lay on the ground, she looked up at Luc, indignation and surprise clear on her face. Reaching out with her bill, she grabbed a feather and yanked!

Fae grinned when Foenix remembered her. "Well, not a lot has happened except the Fenthry owner leaving us, and moving here-" She lost her sentence when she caught too Aerandir Gryphons wrestling on the ground in the corner of her eye. "Oh my..." Her eyes rested on the horse/swan, admiring its creamy colors. "Its sooo pretty! Is that your Aerandir, Foenix?" Fae asked, turning to her. She always reconized Lucius and grinned, laughing at the two playing.
Just then, something moved within her bag.
"I could hardley breath in there!" Squeaked Sage angrily at his sister. His little wings buzzed and hovered in front of Fae's face.
Fae continued talking with her two friends until her Fenthry was suddenly in her face. "..Sage?! Where'd you...how'd you...where's Ombre?"
"I'm hurr!" She chirped, fighting with the bag flap and trying to crawl out.
Fae shook her head. "They haven't been outside yet and I guess they stoed away inside my bag when I wasn't looking. Welll.." She looked to Nyxa since Foenix already knew who they were. "These are my two Fenthry; Sage and Ombre. That's how Foenix and I know each other," She smiled.
"I'm hungry!" Ombre squeaked and pulled on Fae's hair.
Sage perched on Fae's shoulder and stared at Foenix confusidly- almost a look of disgust which was just his normal thinking face. Didn't she have a friend of his...? But who? He strained to think.
