Jon's sword struck out, hit the quills, bounced off - his heart had missed a beat there, hadn't it? Oh, oh that was bad, oh - blackness rose around him, and he collapsed to the ground. Jesse stumbled away from the sword blow, then was struck again by the biotic cannon, and was as such sent tumbling away.

Agent M realized that if he'd paid attention or caught up or ANYTHING, he had been punted like a ragdoll, and had only recently gotten back up, and was probably pretty sore.

((Proper movement tomorrow!))

After tumbling away from the fray he and Schraeder were engaged in, due to unforseen forces, Jesse stood up, looked around, and assessed the situation before doing anything further at the moment.

He did notice however, the sword wielding man, now laying on the floor a few feet away.

"What the hell just happened?" he asked himself as he moved across the floor away from the man, and his sword.

He looked around briefly, only to see that Schraeder had once again been given a new lease on life. He smirked, and then turned to see Agent M standing within his midst.

"Heh, so I take it that it was you who saved the flashing runt from his whipping huh" Jesse said with a somewhat cocky undertone to his voice. He quickly hushed that up, seeing as the last time he met with someone with an agent in their name, he almost bought the farm... Literally.

Finnegan and Saieve both assumed similar fighting stances as they waited for the man's approach.

Helena stumbled, wincing at the unsettling feeling of being kicked in the jaw and knocked backwards. A jolt of pain surged up from her chin, following the bone toward her ears and creating an aching pain between them. Settling back into a fighting stance, she readied for another encounter. It looked like it wasn't going to be all hack 'n slash to the finish like her body wished it would. She had to learn to strategize in combat if she was going to get out of here in one piece. For instance, coming into contact with Adela was bad. She needed to find ways to lure the girl in and then cut her down. For now she watched, breathing a little shaky what with all the adrenaline flowing.

Agent M, of course, was enough of a badass that he could recover his composure (if not his injuries quite smoothly).

"Shut your failure mouth. You're not worthy to talk to me," Agent M replied in a low growl, lowering his gun arm. His left arm twitched and melted away; moments later, it reformed into a proper slaughterfist. He took two steps forward, feinted a lunge at Jesse, halting short and taking a knee as his gun swung into position. He began unloading his biotic gun at Jesse from scarcely three feet away.

Schraeder continued to beat on Elizabeth as she simply stood there and took it. Since, y'know, no one was making her do anything.

Jon was able to remain conscious only through sheer force of will. His hand still tightly gripped on his sword, he painstakingly made efforts to force himself up.

No good.

The best he was able to do was plant his blade into the ground and give himself enough leverage to rest on one knee. He grasped at his chest. He had overextended himself even though he hadn't used his haste. It would seem that he still needed more time to understand these unusual Sigil powers.

It would take him awhile to regain enough strength to actually stand and fight. As far as his usefulness in the Sigil department however, he was certain that his only skill usable at this point was that of his swordsmanship once his stamina returned. No time control or else he wouldn't be getting back up again.

Adela moved back after kicking the girl in the face. Yes! I can make my power go to my feet! It's not just my hands. That was going to be useful information later on.

However, it wasn't the time to really worry about the future since there was a girl trying to stab her to death. s**t! Adela didn't move fast enough, and she got cut on the side. She pulled back and held a hand to her side. Concentrating with all her might, she held her hand over her wound for a few minutes before showing the ripped clothing. What should have been a bleeding (and rather dangerous) wound was in fact a patch of skin that seemed like nothing happened to it. "That all you got, girlie?"

Clarissa waited till last minute before running as fast as she could away from the detonation. She didn't want to get caught in that pressure bomb. Once he released his pressure, Clarissa ran back - she'd seen how much energy it took for the man to use his attack. With a barely concealed growl, she leaped at him and began clawing at his neck. This was as far as she got, for a thing happened.

Agent A had disposed of the two enemies before seeing that there was a huge battle going on with Schraeder and the others. As much as he thought he should help, he also saw how badly Joneleth was doing. A felt that he owed it to the man to provide some support - besides, the others were doing well enough on their own in defeating the failures.

Joneleth found that, indeed, his willpower was lesser than that of the GMs, and the blackness enveloped him completely. His eyes fluttered as he slumped to the ground.

Luckily, Host-Agent A was around to keep him safe. Another use of the chronosphere would undoubtedly result in cardiac arrest, or perhaps death.

The Hosts began to feel a slight tingling in their various viral appendages - undoubtedly, it was most unpleasant for Jesse, who was covered in spines - that none recognized for what it was: the initial signs of the Hunger coming on.

At the same time, looking at the Host-Agents made them...well, it was complicated. Certainly they felt the Hunger more keenly, but at the same time...the Host-Agents just looked so...satisfying.

Elizabeth had seen no post indicating any attack against her, so she kicked Schraeder in the balls because that was her default course of action in any combat scenario.

Agent M rolled his eyes as Joneleth knocked himself out entirely while he waited for Jesse's to either be shot or dodge...

Adela paused in her fight. Even though it was dangerous. Even though being distracted for a split second could kill her. Because she found out in that split second that Schraeder got kicked in the balls. Again. "Ffffffffffffffffffff...."

Split second distraction over, she returned to see Helena attack again. "Oh crap!" More dodging and bending to be done. Not gonna help him this time. Nope. I'm now glad I'm fighting this chick.

Agent A winced at the kick Elizabeth delivered. As a soldier, he understood using the enemies' weaknesses against them, but as a man...that was just not right.

The man ducked away from Clarissa's attack, reminding her why these people were so dangerous. They were still fast. He came back, the pressure built - and a gloved hand caught his elbow. "Imbecile, that's a friendly," The Thief snapped. The man stared, then stared again.

"The... the ones with the mutations...?"

"Yes, I guess you didn't get that memo? It's you Nihilites and me and the Hosts, then the rest of the Sigil users. Get it straight," The Thief calmly ordered.

"Oh. Uh, sorry?" the man told Clarissa, rubbing the back of his head. "I guess I didn't... well, uhm. I suggest we get back to fighting," he recommended, and immediately dismissed himself in the direction of Adam-team. The Thief rolled his eyes.

"I'm glad I'm not paying them anything yet," he growled. "Sorry about that. I have some... pressing matters to attend to, and so it'll be you Hosts and the Nihilites. The Nihilites aren't as tough as Adam-team members, but you've got a lot of them here. Let the others know that if something goes wrong, the Nihilites will call me back.

"...the Nihilites are the ones with the Sigil abilities who are helping you. Ask them about that, when this is over." And then he was gone in the blink of an eye.

---

The Adams were gaining ground, ever so slowly. It seemed like despite the numerous attackers, they were more competent as a focused group, and were moving where they liked, all of them back to back and exercising what seemed like the safe limit of their powers.

Of course, since Elizabeth was disconnected from the story due to her player's incompetence, her kick had as little effect as her posting in the story, and Schraeder landed a vicious punch to her jaw and bounced back.

"b***h," he muttered as the pain grew slowly.
PostPosted: Tue Oct 06, 2009 9:51 pm

Elizabeth rolled with the punch and spun back, raising her shield as she shuffled towards Schraeder.

Jesse struggled with the tingling sensations that were permeating throughout his entire being, thanks to the spines that were sticking out all over him. But he did manage to ellude the blasts coming from Agent M's cannon arm with little to no effort other than to keep his own composure.

The more he moved, the more unpleasant and annoying the tingling got. He kept a constant eye on Agent M regardless though. He continued to move around him, ducking, dodging, and rolling from time to time to avoid whatever shots were coming his way. All the while, he was planning on getting close enough to do some sort of damage but, for some reason, Agent M was beginning to look more and more delectable as this little skirmish wore on.

Between the tingling sensations and the thought of taking a nibble out of Agent M's hand, things were starting to get rather difficult for Jesse at this moment.
