So it seemed that the play had come to the end between the two actors. Oh, pooh. And here he thought he might had a chance to stop this dreadful madness (That was, if he had the desire to do so.)
The masked man let out a small pout as he continued to walk down the steps and entered into the center of the ring. It was a shame to see the young lass died. Oh, yes. Indeed, it was. The young woman was quite amusing to play with. It was too bad that she had to take her final last bow. Oh... If only he made it in time to stop it. Oh, well. At least Adele had paid her debts. It was such a tragic that it was her life that she paid. Oh, yes. Indeed, she did.
As the smiling assassin came to the center, his mole came too and called out his name. Usually, no one knew what his other identity was. But this actor, oh yes, this actor had seemed quite much of his other disguise.
"To be quite frank, this contest is such a bothersome to gather candidates. In fact, I think we can handle ourselves without recruiting those for the mission. Oh, yes. Indeed, it is." Pietro answered, smirking mischievously to the Wyvern Lord. "However, I have to bid the orders of our dear baroness. Oh, yes. Indeed, I must. For if I dare disobey her orders, who knows what will she do to me if I return to her?"
Oh, yes. It would be terrified if he dared to do so. The baroness' punishment was far worse then what ordinary rulers would give. Never would he dare challenge her question if he was overconfident in his pride. Might as well go along just as an actor adding ad-libs to the play.
He then heard a moan and looked at the said direction. Laying not far from them was the girl laying in her own pool of blood. What was this? The girl survived? Oh, dear. Oh, dear. Oh, him. Oh, his. It seemed that he had underestimate her endurance. Maybe this girl did have some potential. He then heard Siegell shouted out the candidates who stood aside against the wall. The masked assassin let out a smirk.
"Let them be, dear Erik." Pietro spoke as he placed his hand upon the mole's shoulder. "There's no need to bring them here. After all, we are about to leave. Oh, yes. Indeed, we are."
He then walked over to Bliss, kneeling before her, wondering if he should kill her or not. It seemed that Adele had severed the girl's left arm. That would be tragic if the girl was a melee fighter. Oh, yes. Indeed, it was. When he looked at her, he saw the girl smiled.
Her. Smiling the grin in her face despite being injured. Despite that she was on the verge of death. The Cheshire man couldn't help but let out a grin. This girl. She had reminded him of himself. Reminded him of his time when he was a small boy, ready to take his death sentence. It was also that same day where he met Charolais, asking him why he was smiling when he was about to die. Oh..... How grateful the baroness was to him on that day. And it seemed that he was about to do the same as his baroness did to him.
"Well, well, it seemed you have survived. Oh, yes. Indeed, you do." Pietro smirked as he unclasped his cape and wrapped around Bliss, mostly on her left stunt. He then lifted her in a bridal style as he then marched to the other candidates. He murmured to her. "No need to worry, dear child. We shall heal you once we leave this place. Oh, yes. Indeed, we will."
He stood in front of the candidates. So there were only four of them. The injured lass, the tall man, the beastmistress, and what was this? A girl with wings? Was that an angel he saw? ... No, it must be something else. But then he wondered how the girl survived. She didn't look strong enough to survive this contest. But then again, she was here and was unharmed. Maybe there was more to her than meet the eyes. Perhaps his baroness and her guests would like to enjoy playing this girl. However, now it was time to leave.
"Congratulations, dear contestants." Pietro announced to them. "You have survived this contest and had reach this destination. Oh, yes. Indeed, you do. And now it is time for us to depart. This contest is now officially over. As for your prize...."
He couldn't help but smirk. Oh.... If only these contestants knew what he had in stored. "Well then, follow me and I shall tell you what it is..."
Pietro then exited to the corridor, carrying the girl in his arms. That Cheshire smirk had not left his face. Like a moth to the fire, these candidates had fallen into his hands. They didn't know there was no prize. They didn't know that they were now going to be in a mission he was about to give. Oh.... How tragic these contestants had fallen into. There was a sinister but merrily laugh in the darkness from where the masked assassin exited.
