As Estas began walking, Maelle let go of his arms and walked beside him. He seemed irritable. Perhaps he actually had gotten injured, and he just was choosing not to mention it. But why wouldn’t he? She was a doctor after all. But no matter the case, she had begun to feel awkward, and slightly shameful, and felt she could no longer keep up a strong façade. At this rate I'll never make it until dinner time... she thought glumly.

((Narrative post on description.))
The doors to the dining hall were distinct from the other doors in the hallway. Given that the dining hall was one of the bigger rooms on the floor, it made sense that the doors would be wider. To be exact, there were two sets of double doors next to each other.
But the dining hall and the kitchen would not necessarily be a pretty sight to the four adventurers who chanced for a small snack, a meal, or some sort of edible delicacy.
The dining hall would be empty of people. However, there would be a lone basket of cold cookies on one of the tables. Upon entering the dining hall though, the entrants would notice some sort of loud commotion be it loud crashes of metal, screams, belligerent yelling, or just random noises. The sounds would come from the back of the dining hall... and since there was no one in the dining hall, that could only mean that the sounds were from.....

Scythe de Zaran "Hmm?" A small smile played on Armand's lips. "Absolutely not. Why would I want to do that? If you're speaking of the dinner, something really did come up." Actually, it was why he was looking at the star charts. It almost seemed too convenient. "Besides, you'll probably get to enjoy a meal from a different culture. Something to learn, wouldn't you say?" Armand's attitude almost seemed a little bit serious than earlier, but one could never tell for sure. Aria almost rolled her eyes at Armand's choice of speaking tone. She knew the headmaster was usually like this, but it starting to get a little bit irritating. However, Aria was going to let the whole argument drop for the time being. She knew it was no use to argue about something like this with Armand. He would just continue on for eternity by denying anything that was blamed upon him.
"And by 'a meal from a different culture' you mean... what exactly?" Aria asked. Her mind was carefully going through every bit of information she had gathered so far: about dinner being canceled and even the star charts Armand had been studying when she entered the office. Something about those charts just seemed... odd. Something was happening and Aria wanted to know what it was.

Fortunately, Lise landed safely on her two feet. She heard Estas's question. "Yes, and it wasn't too hard to figure out where you were from the noise..." She giggled.
Whoa, Maelle looks different. Lise thought as she looked at the doctor.
Estas didn't look too happy though and just started walking with Maelle though right after. Lise quickly walked forward to catch up with Maelle. "Are you two on a date?" Maelle was dressed up... Don't tell me Maelle's got something for this guy too?!! NO!

((Waiting on Kyground before posting anything else with Estas and anything else on the kitchen. But meanwhile, the rest of you feel free to interact.))
Armand almost looked thoughtful for a moment, except he had a smirk plastered on his face. Seriously, if there had ever been a competition to measure who smiled the most, Armand would have been in the running, and probably not even on purpose either.
"A different culture? Honestly, Aria, you don't think everyone is from the same background, do you?" The headmaster inquired. Besides, the headmaster had the inkling that Estas was going to have to improvise on the dinner. Perhaps, using the word inkling was a bit of an understatement...

"That isn't what I meant..." Aria replied, closing her eyes. That was her version of a sigh for this situation. She shook her head a little bit as well. Armand truely was a rather frustrating person to deal with. But Aria was the type of person who could keep her frustration under check and keep it from interfering in her actions and reactions most times.
"Never mind..." Aria soon said, deciding to give up on arguing her point for the time being. "I know not everyone on the staff is from the same background. Please, stop twisting my questions around... What is it that you find so amusing about our situation with there not being a dinner to serve to everyone at once? Instead you will have people at each others' throats just to weasel a meal out of Estas."

((Also, if you guys haven't submitted a character for the guild roleplay and still want to before the first prize event, don't take too long. I've just posted the first event details and am taking character sign ups. ...hope the numbers even out. Otherwise, there might be some improvisation involved.)) "Twisting your questions around?" Armand gave her an innocent look. "I'm not." He sighed and shrugged. "Who said they have to weasel a meal out of Estas? There's always the kitchen." But something had already happened at the location making the orientation dinner tonight to be logically canceled. ((I don't think Armand told Aria that everyone had to get a meal out of Estas.))

((I know he didn't say that OUTRIGHT that everyone had to weasel a meal out of Estas. But the way Armand said the cancellation and stuff made him sound like he was implying it lol))
Aria sighed again. "Your convenient way of announcing the cancellation of tonight's dinner made everyone think that now they had to weasel a meal out of Estas." she replied simply. This was seriously getting rather tiresome. She also knew that soon Armand would also probably lose interest in this whole debate. "If your motives were not to pit everyone against each other, what happened n the kitchen to cause you to officially cancel the dinner?" Aria soon asked. She might as well clear this whole thing up now. It would be rather annoying if Armand didn't answer her question truthfully, but Aria figured she'd find out what had happened sooner or later.

Maelle decided to let Estas answer that. Anything she said could potentially backfire on her, and therefore put her one step farther away from getting what she wanted. So she just looked at Estas expectandly and waited for him to answer.

ISAAC armine Out of everything you could have done... Double.... Date.... ? - Isaac, Estas, Lise, and Maelle.
Isaac simply smirked at the pairs comments, glad that Lise had decided to join him. "I wouldn't worry about us. We're expecting the worse, but if Armand tampers with the food than I shall finally have to end him..." Isaac said. Estas appeared to understand that he and Lise were just trying to find the kitchen.
When they arrived at the Dining Hall, he glanced around observantly. "If I didn't have to be suspicious of everything, I would think this is a really nice place..."

((dragon-talk, fair enough.
Kyground, my mistake on Estas assuming. He shouldn't know that everyone is chasing after him.
dragon-talk and Mosmoto, are you guys going to do the first event with your teachers? I'm going to do the pairings tomorrow and I need a head count.))
"But he's going on a date with you. If he's serious about the date, he'll make a great meal for you. He probably won't have time for the others." Armand shrugged. "Hmm... now what could possibly have happened in the kitchen? What do you think?" he asked Aria.
-----
Estas didn't even feel Maelle let go. He was distracted, but he did hear Lise's question. Lise, whose name he still thought was Lisa. And what makes her think we're going on a date? he thought, and then was reminded of the possibility when he looked at Lise and saw Maelle beside him. She was dressed up for dinner.
Why were the other two following them anyway? They had gone to the length of jumping down a hole to another level. "Oh, and what if it is? Jealous?" he smirked and winked at Maelle and then turned back to the dining hall doors.
Isaac had gone in first, and Estas followed. The dining hall was old news to Estas. As they got closer to the kitchen towards the back, Estas heard stranger and louder noises from the kitchen. "They're awfully loud today," he mumbled.
((Whoever wants to go to the kitchen first, be my guest. It'll be fun... maybe.))

((I don't know if I will participate in the first event yet, Scythe. I'm on the fence about it.))
"It's not a date." Aria stated mostly to herself, sighing lightly again. Even though she knew that Armand would disregard her denial, Aria said it anyway. It was worth a try, wasn't it?
"As for what I think happened in the kitchen: I think that for some reason or another, there is a lack of food with which to serve everyone at once. As to why there would be no food in the first place, I can think of several reasons why there wouldn't be any in the kitchen." What those reasons were, Aria didn't say. She'd let Armand's imagination run wild with what ideas she had in mind.

((Alright. Well, it's up to you.))
Aria could deny that the whole thing was a date a million times, and Armand would still insist on coining the whole fiasco as a date. It was more fun that way. "Hmm, a lack of food, you say... interesting..." Armand looked thoughtful for a moment, but then suddenly looked very distraught.
"Oh, my, Aria dear! It was YOUR fault? I didn't see that one coming. Why did you do it?" Armand cried.

((I'll give you my final decision in the morning, okay?))
Aria sighed, yet again. "I didn't do anything to the kitchen..." she replied, using her usual calm tone. It was hard to tell whether or not Armand was just trying to mess with her head or not. So, Aria just assumed he was trying to falsely blame her and set her up for something later on. "I am simply answering your own question about what I think happened in the kitchen for you to cancel the formal dinner."

((Umm, soo.. who's going in first? I don't want to.))
What! What kind of answer is that?!! Lise screamed in her head. "NO!" she said defiantly. She had no interest in Estas and his womanizing ways. Oh, was that a loud? Lise's face fell as she felt her face get red with embarrassment. Maybe she was overreacting. So, she just meekly followed everyone else into the dining room.
The dining room was big. There was nothing ont he tables. But on one, there was a basket. "Wonder why that's the only table with a basket." she thought out loud.
