Ren went into a defensive stance used for manipulating earth.
"Now how'd you know her name?
And what the hell is the Old Guard? Are you guys friends or something?"
Yet she can still hear us..
Ren thought to himself as he could hear her music blaring from where they stood. His Byakugan was still searching the area around them for something out of the blue.

She shook her head at Ren but smirked a bit at his worry. She ignored his question as she replied to Matariel.
"My interest only comes from curiosity really. A few things come to mind about the different groups lurking about, but really the simple answer is that I've seen nothing to distinguish there being a fourth faction interested in this part of the world."
She shook her head and held her hands up with palms flat and upside down as she continued.
"Not to mention the double of my daughter's restraint seal burned up. Considering some of the inspiration for that seal it made sense he'd have an easy time of it."
"I suppose my formal introduction would be beneficial if the use of premonition in your name is true, or just to resolve this little issue."
A moment later she raised one hand towards the sky, positioned from her own point of view as if to grasp the sun as she continued.
"My name is Lina Halliphax Kaito, third in line for the lost throne of Sarket, of the colony of six, under the Twin Suns of York as well as Former Knight Prime of Ark Colony."

"She's saying she's a lot more than she seems, Ren."
The woman nods politely at Lina with a smile.
"A wonderful introduction. I am Matariel, Premonition of God, the Eighth Daughter of Adam, and Tenth Specimen of Daedalus. A pleasure."
She turned to face the three and began to walk towards them.
"Surely, if you've come all the way out here, you want more than information on Bao Steel? It seems a little unfair to give me such a wealth of information for such little in return."

Ren's Byakugan would finally pick something up. there was a winged person flying high overhead, above the cloud cover, circling like a vulture.

Ren didn't directly look up but he saw the possible danger of an attack from above. There was a chakra signature above their position.
His eyes looked at the woman approaching them and he suddenly went into a defensive mindset.
"Stop right there..! How the hell do you know our names, that opera masked guy also knew our names beforehand.
--Wait, did you just say you're a premonition from God?"

She glanced at Ren with calm eyes.
"We came seeking information... or at least that's what I thought. Do you really believe antagonizing our source is the best idea."
Her eyes wandered to Kuwbara, wondering if he had any input.
"Information on things behind him might be useful, but I can't say how much use the information on the man himself is. Loosing a head usually is permanent... though I suppose I'm one to talk on that subject. But then again I ask a question that doesn't belong to me."

"Someone who claims they're a warning from God obviously isn't right in the head and will give false information because of it."
Ren deduced.
"Some kind of religious nutcase or something? With all those nicknames."

"But the answers belong to everyone."
Matariel chuckles at Ren and stops her advance about five feet out.
"Listen to my words. 'Premonition of God.' I am an aspect, not a messenger."
She gave it a moment to sink into Ren's head, then sighed.
"If you let that fear make all your choices in life, you'll never amount to anything. Then what will Meesha think?"

Kwubara just stood there. He ws gathering information and knew to let people babble. They might let something important slip out. The big question he was thinking about was What kind of reseach are the two groups doing?

She looked at Ren.
"Information is information, for it to be believable at least some always must come from truth. Besides she didn't say which god now did she?"
The girl had a fox like smirk as she said to Ren.
"I've met good gods, bad gods, demi-gods and plenty of false-gods, and one thing I've learned is when someone claims anything relating to a god you're better off with a false-god, after all someone truly trying to prove they're something is a better source then one who has nothing to prove."
She turned her attention back to Matariel.
"Pity not the blind one, for he is burdened not by the visions of this world, but rather pity yourselves, for he will see the truth before you... so am I right in guessing those headphones do nothing for you other then cover up a simple fact? But I suppose that's my own curiosity more then what we really need to know... What can you tell us about Bao's forces, or even if the man himself may make a return?"

Ren grappled his own head at the confusion of the conversation, it had too much symbolism in it for him to comprehend.
Now how'd she know about Meesha?!

The woman smiled at Lina, genuinely happy.
"I finally have someone who isn't a bloodthirsty meathead to talk to, though I'm afraid you're mistaken in who exactly this god is. The Old Guard needs to prove nothing, and does not think itself a god. It's quite the opposite I'm afraid. My title is little more than a marketing ploy. And the headphones do help. The music filters out the clutter, though I may be speaking too openly on that matter."
She sighed heavily, her cloak twitching softly.
"I cannot tell you of Bao Steel, simply because I have not come in contact with him, or his forces. If you wish to bring them to me, I can tell you, but otherwise, I know nothing more than you."
Looking to Kwubara, Matariel nodded her head with a certain finality.
"Speaking of which, I need to thank you for bringing me so much information. Is there much else I can help you with? I am near to repaying my debt."

Ren's eyes suddenly shot open in realization.
That's whats going--..!!
Ren looked behind himself for no particular reason it seemed.
I wonder if that thing circling us up above is going to attack soon. Is that thing related to the lady standing before us?

Lina nodded.
"It is rare to find conversation among those in this corner of the world. I may speak with you again someday, though I do doubt it will be like this. I lose a certain clarity when the taint leaves, but tis just the curse of a mind too far strained by age."
She crossed her arms for a moment before adopting a thinking pose.
"I have a debt to those who have taught me here, even if it seems that debt is only an electric bill my honor demands I side with them a bit longer. But I suppose I must ask if Ishira joined the forces of the Old Guard..."
She raised an eyebrow a moment later and asked.
"And If Kwubara doesn't have any questions was any of that machine that we encountered... the one not of Bao's designs... it looked a familiar style, but was any of the technology based off what he saw of Sarket's designs?"

"He won't hurt you if you don't try to hurt me. He's been sent to watch me, though he can't hear us. You could call him a Brother."
Her cloak unfurled a bit and stretched. What looked like her cloak was actually a pair of long, soft white wings that wrapped around her body a few times. She yawned, and her wings settled back down.
"I'm not sure. there was an Ishira with the Old Guard a while back, but I have not seen him for ages. I cannot hear him like I hear you, but I remember that he was denouncing a 'Sarket' wen designing Bardiel."
