Realizing she'd fallen behind, Elizabeth regrew her shield and turned, following the Thief - but beginning to feel a little of the strain of her combat.

Schraeder went down, hard on his back, from Elizabeth's attack. His breath left him and he lay gasping on the floor. No point chasing them if he was unable to fight.
He concentrated on breathing. There was still a chance.

"Get these idiots off me for half a second and I can move the merchandise!" The Thief called to the Hosts close to him. He seemed to be holding still, but it was close.
Lance obeyed, rushing towards Lionel's back and thrusting. Lionel was only distracted long enough to spin and knock aside the blade. Lance tried to push his assault, but Lionel delivered a spinning kick to Lance's face and he fell back, not incapacitated but stunned.

Clarissa moved to help the Thief as much as she could - which meant going after Lionel once Lance had fallen.

Host-Agent R grabbed Lance and threw him into the other Hosts as they came, blocking them from the Thief in the hallway.
"I have no idea who you are," he called over his shoulder to the Adams, "but we seem to be on the same side. I work for the government. We can work out who you are after this. In the meantime, thank you and good luck."
He faced the Hosts again.

"He's a goddamn psychopath! Don't listen to that bullshit!" Elizabeth screamed at the Adams.

Well crap. Clarissa was now facing R with Elizabeth to her side. It seemed Lance was getting up as well to face him. But none of us are strong enough to take him on, we need that guy! She'd thought of the Thief. It didn't seem like there was much that she could do (it actually surprised her that she actually got away with slapping him without any retribution). "This man is a sociopath! Don't listen to him!" She also yelled towards the Adams.
-------- The fight seemed evenly matched between Helena and Adela. But now that everyone was leaving to go to the hall, Adela thought it prudent to simply run towards the others. "See ya!" And run she did. It was probable that Helena was chasing her, but there wasn't much she could do against a girl with freakin' swords for arms!

"You don't understand," Lionel calmly replied, thrusting at The Thief. It had taken him long enough to get back to him that The Thief had made some gesture, and -
There was an immense, deafening sound of bending steel, and suddenly daylight poured in through a doorway a little further down.
"He's moving the pods!" Lizzie realized. "He's taking them! Get to them!"
"You, get your agents off our other friends and we'll get to work!" Lionel requested of Agent R.
Lance was still too stunned to get back up.

Helena raised her arms to block the bat, and succeeded. The blades turned the bat to shrapnel. The force, however, sent her rolling and effectively dodging Adela's follow-up. Once back on her feet, Helena rushed to the aid of the Thief whom she still thought of in her mind as the Mystery Knight. With everyone becoming quite confused in the midst of combat, Helena again brought her arms back and sprinted toward Host-Agent R hopefully maintaining an element of surprise. As before, she attempted to cut down her opponent like a human pair of scissors, and if she missed she hoped to continue the momentum onward to defend the Mystery Knight.

Seeming not to be the target of anyones agression, Jesse simply filed in with the others, moving towards the spot where Clarissa and Lance had gone. He could see the one that they were calling "Agent R" standing before her and Lance, and began to think. A diversion was what they needed in order to make it to the target.
And a diversion is what they were going to get.
With all the excitement going on, Jesse didn't realize that his own quills had sprung forth, incasing him all over. He ran full speed towards Agent R, spotting an opening between Clarissa and Lance. It seemed that it was slight enough that he would get through undetected, and then he could deliver a staggering tackle of which the likes no one had ever seen.
Or so he wanted to believe.
Jesse ignored everything around him, even the bladed hand one that was heading towards Agent R as well, and focused on his target. If this worked, Host Agent R would be stunned long enough to let the other pass without confusion.
If not, then this was going to be one hell of a day.

Host-Agent R groaned. "You kids are so inept, it makes one bored."
He waited until Helena was right in front of him, then stepped back as she slashed forward. In the second that her arms were extended, Host-Agent R shot a kick into her chest, sending her flying back into the spiny Jesse.
"Amateurs. Don't make me laugh."

Of course, her plan failed miserably. Rather than continue forward, she was propelled right onto spindly hide of another Host she hadn't really communicated with before. On impact, Jesse was barreled over and Helena continued to roll, giving out several short cries that enlightened others about her excruciating pain. She ended up on her stomach, heaving great big breaths. At this time, the blades slowly transitioned to their normal five-fingered state, but Helena felt no delight in the matter. Having several porcupines ******** her was an unpleasant thought to say the least: having now experienced something extremely similar, the artist could honestly say it was worse than she would have imagined.
Groaning again, she reached a hand toward her lower back. Just shifting the muscles ached, and elicited a strained grimace as Grissom tried desperately not to make another pitiful sound. Several small puncture wounds could be felt, like craters in a hillside, as her fingers slid from one side to the other. Before she even glanced at her hand, she knew there was blood. Finally resting her bloodied hand on the ground beside her face, she took this moment to make a rather profound statement pertaining to her condition. "<******** (metaphorically) ******** she was.

Clarissa saw Helena fall on top of a spiky Jesse (who she was surprised to see). She was torn between going to her side and fighting Agent R. However, once she saw how badly wounded Helena was, she instantly ran to her side. Her first, him later. One day, he WILL answer me. "We need to get you out of here." She tried to help Helena up without making her feel worse. "Look, can you climb on my back? I'll carry you out."
