without hesitating Fang lunged forward, wraping his arms around Jade's waist and pulling her back. he let his aura out in full, trying to keep her in human form as Neko could. it was draining.. but as he studied the creature infront of them he knew it had to be done. he couldnt see Jade as a creature like that.. though he knew what she was, he had never seen her like Maverick was now. he hadnt thought of her as a bitten wolf.. and that was his mistake. useing full strength he lifted her, moveing backward at a slow pase so he wouldnt alarm Maverick's wolf. " shhh.. Jade, breath baby. we need Neko, then you need to sleep for a bit. just rest little sister, dont look up."

The beast of the dark has great in height. The wolfs eyes stared daringly at the girl that had freed herself and started to become what she really was. Maverick and her were no longer humans. Just wolves trapped inside a vessel, waiting to be set free. He stepped forth, braking the earth beneath him with one step. He whirled his head around, bellowing a roar from his gut. He clenched his fist or claw. The lust for hunger was more profound. With all this power he could not control it and make his own demands.

With his right arm he slashed at his face making him tumble back. His head leaned back and his tongue flapped around in the air. Blood shot out from his neck and stayed there not moving but it suddenly slithered and covered his arm slightly and little spokes formed. His own blood hardened and acted as a restraint and armor.

Behind Fang she had finished shiftng, a large werewolf with coal black fur crouching uncertainly. only her eyes were the same, a silver grey that held only a wolves grim amusement. standing upright she was a good foot shorter than Maverick, but much taller than Fang in his human form. tilting her head to the side she sniffed lightly, instently peeling her lips back in a snarl. she was hurting.. yes, but it was hunger, not her shift that bothered her. a low growl escaped her and she moved to the side of Fang, still out of his line of sight. shaking herself she growled meeting Mavericks gaze with a shocked confusion.

more than a little confused he risked a glance over his shoulder, his posture going rigid at what he saw. he couldnt help her, she had shifted. with a silent scowl he moved out of the way, keeping both of them in his sight as he inched back. he would look for Neko, and hope Jade didnt do anything horrible while he was gone.

Her desire for meat could be easily read by Maverick. He knew this feeling all to well. Could she be like him but he did not know exactly. Her scent was some thing of a dream. Too perfect for her own good. He turned around but only his head and scoped the area. That man that was with her was gone. He then bolted forth. Each stride covered four feet then he leaped up in the air and hooked himself to a dead and bare tree with no foliage with his grimace claws and then jumped off in another direction. The little game of hunt was on.

Maverick clenched on a two a single little tree that barely put effort to not break. He slug back then launched himself freely in the air using his powerful legs. He quickly caught hold on the scent after she called him. A group of humans that just begged him to eat them were calling his name.

With a slight sense of amusement from the eating of the boy, Maverick hopped along the roof of the tree. His silhouette followed the humans swiftly. A single swipe of his claw could decapitate them. He crawled down a tree, stalking a prey, never before had he been on the hunt with another like himself.

A man walked closely after noticing his son was gone. Now every one alert but not fully aware of the dire facts. The facts that they all would die. There scent all seemed to pour out from their bodies and envelope in their wondrous scent. He snatched a woman that trailed some distance of the group. She was stupid and he ended her life and made her screams silent with a crunch to her neck with his menacing jaws. Normally Maverick when he just a man and not a wolf or not transformed. He enjoyed the pure satisfaction of eating but as he was now, he loved to torment his victims. He dismembered the lovely woman in two three sections. He had her upper half with his mouth, blood dripped carelessly on the ground. His arms held the other pieces. He would not worry about them.

The smart tactic the other wolf used, sent Maverick the humans. Maverick expelled a gallant roar, that made the people skitter back but one was clenched in Maverick gripping claws. The woman gasping for air clawed at his burly, hairy arm but a simple slap made her quit. He then wrapped his mouth around her head and pulled away. Blood desecrated the ground and soaked Mavericks face. He made a smile that was just pure evil, his brimming eyes stared down his prey and as he jumped from person to person, he tore into them with his knife like claws.
