"I came here hoping to negotiate a business deal. Ships for facilities. Since that doesn't seem palatable then I'll have to settle for simply buying the facilities. I believe the republic is rather strapped for hard currency at the moment."

"So you're going to pay us now? The taxes generated from the building permits for you to build the facilities at the size you need, and the taxes generated from your income would generate quite a bit of revenue for the Republic," Vossa said, thinking about the cash influx that KDY would generate for them.

"But arent' you worried that the larger you get, the more of a juicy target for the Confederacy you'll become? And how do you intend to defend your new assets in our territory when the confederacy attacks the planets? They could just simply steal away what you bought, and I'm sure Kuat is unwilling to be that defensible."

"You forget that KDY is the main provider for the CIS navy, if they attack our facilities we can simply cut off their supply of spare parts and new ships." Giddean grinned, "Plus, we haven't sold the CIS our heaviest ships, they won't risk a war on two fronts, especially against us."

"There would be no two fronts to fight on. When the confederacy holds the republic, they need to just aim up to the skies, and take what's left of you," Vossa stated, as the elevator hit the correct floor.

"You want us to buy your ships. We need to unify the republic. Perhaps... Are you interested in a crazy idea? How willing would you be to match your ships against that of the Mon Calimari Shipyards? If the Confederacy is using your ships, perhaps a demonstration of what will happen if the civil war does not desist might be enough to convince them to stop fighting. No sensible shipyard and people would willingly make another company's ships. While we have no desire to give the shipyards to Kuat, I believe the confederacy would sell them out without a second thought. Should the Calimari dispute be settled, not only are we halfway to a better goal, but you also have field tested your ships and the Republic has verifyable results to go by..."

The Grand Crusader disengaged hyperdrive near Tython

"We've entered Tython's orbit, my lord," the helmsman announced.

"Good," Radomir said. "Open a channel to the Jedi."

"Channel opened, sir," the communications officer announced.

"I am Prince Radomir Tahlee of Onderon. I have come to request Jedi assistance in drawing out a pirate presence in Onderonian space. Requesting permission to land."

"Request granted," a voice said over the comm.

"Thank you," Radomir said, "you have the bridge, commander."

"Aye, sir."

The prince departed the bridge, and proceeded through the many corridors until he reached the hangar. Radomir stepped into his private shuttle and flew it down to the planet below.

Brike made her way swiftly to the hanger as the landing shuttle touched down, other Jedi gathering also. She found herself next to a few of the younglings as the prince stepped out of his craft. He was greeted warmly by the Masters. "A Jedi escort, you request?" Master Yoda rasped. "Dissapointed, you will not be." Brike's eyes were drawn to the prince as he talked with the Masters, and Obi-wan grinned.

"Would you like to see the available Jedi?" He asked politely.

"Yes, please," Radomir said. "Ordinarily the Onderonian military would handle it, but they're a slippery bunch."

Brike watched as the prince selected a few of the others including Master Obi-wan and he stopped in front of her. She tried to appear mature and ready, but on the inside she was busting with excitment.

Radomir stopped in front of Brike. "How experienced are you at tracking and apprehending skilled criminals?"

Brike met his gaze calmly. "I'm fair enough at the level you're talking about. They won't be much of a problem, sir." She tried not to sound arrogant or prideful when she talked.

"Good," Radomir nodded. "Not to sound rude, but you may be all I need. Your Jedi senses can probably detect them. We have a general idea of where they are, but the pirates seem to have some kind of sensor dampening device."

Obi-wan nodded slowly. "This will be a good mission for her, I believe she is ready for it." His words made Brike hold back a smile. "She's young and has much to learn of the Force, but she will be of asset to you, Prince Radomir."

"Very well," Radomir nodded again. He looked to Brike. "Do you need to get anything before departure?"
PostPosted: Sun Aug 16, 2009 5:44 pm

"No sir." Brike answered, her eyes steady. "But there are some people I would like to say goodbye to." She walked over to Obi-wan. "May the Force be with you, Master." She said with a bow and he smiled at her. "May the Force be with you too, Brike."

"I'll be in the shuttle when you're ready," Radomir said. He exchanged bows with the group and returned to the ship.
