I've been looking for those two items my whole life. My life is now complete. xd

Reminds me of what Disney does with their over-marketing whatchamacallits. I hope they don't do that with the live action movie, whenever they get around to making it. I want Lupin to be better known, not over-franchised. That's the term I was looking for. Over-franchised. Evil... gonk

I, as of now, will be happy if it just gets franchised. I'll worry about Lupin Bottle-Caps openers and Fujiko Makeup kits after Lupin has been accepted into America.

Which is my mission to try to do. xp wink

Yeah, it is actually surprising that it's not more known here. Surprising and sad. But what's even sadder is when people on anime forums say it's the dumbest anime because it's old and looks dumb. confused Wow... That'd be like me saying pencils are the dumbest writing utensils because they are wooden and roll off tables. So, I guess when people stop caring so much about what something looks like and start caring about the story and characters then we will all be much happier. 3nodding Because I watched Samurai Champloo and although it looks good, I thought it was so stupid and repetitive. And then s-CRY-ed or whatever. I watched five minutes of that and turned it off. And FMA....*shudder* Same with Wolf's Rain, watched two episodes and didn't like it.

Very true when Monkey Punch said the story is the most important thing. 3nodding

And I just went off on a small rant, so I'll stop now. xd

Pencils...Shouldn't there be one that doesn't roll, yet? xd

Yeah. I wish more people would stop looking at the animation, or just even that fact that's it from the 70s.
Pencils are much older than that.
The story is what keeps me coming back to Lupin. Plus, LUpin can be funny, dramatic, romantic (occasionally), action, sci-fi...anything you want, actually.
It avoids angst, mercifully. sweatdrop

There are so many Animes that look good, but aren't. I watched a couple Samurai Champloo episodes purely for the fact that it came from the Bebop people. I'm not too interested in watching it, now.
The Excel Saga Director (who also directed Fujiko's Unlucky Days) ddid another called "Puni Puni Poemy", that sound too disturbing even for me.
And that's disurbing. xp

In anycase, hopefully Lupin will grow in America. I guess since it's showing again on AS, it's a good sign...at least, it's not really bad...

I have a couple non-rolling pencils. They came with a pencil set I got and I have never used them and have no idea what they are for. xp

I don't see that many different animes. Only when I would go to a friends house and watch the anime on TechTV, but even those I didn't care for that much. Although I only saw Betterman or something like that and another series that I don't know the name of. I'm more into anime movies than shows. More because they begin and end in two hours. xd

That was the only reason I watched Wolf's Rain because it was advertised as "From the creators of Cowboy Bebop" which I think they needed to say to get people to watch it. Although my brother really liked it. I've never seen Puni Puni Poemy, but have heard from a couple people how weird it is.

Yay, an earthquake. xd But anyway... Yeah I hope stuff with things. I have no idea what I was gonna say. *insert some sort of meaning sentence here* sweatdrop

Okay, Comparing Lupin to FMA or Bebop is sort a like comparing a Nintendo (the first one) to a PS2, Xbox or Game cube, It's ridiculous!
And I don't really care for FMA, It's seems kinda dumb.....Sorry to all you fans who read this! s-CRY-ed doesn't interest me either....

I actually prefer SNES and NES games to PS2 or Xbox games. Graphics didn't seem to play a big role in those games and they were fun. It's like when I say my favorite FF game is FFVI and people laugh at me because the "graphics sucked on that game" and on and on. rolleyes Although it is funny when people try to argue with you that Hellsing or Rurouni Kenshin is better than Lupin. xd And I agree with you on FMA. I liked two episodes I saw and that was mainly because they had a semi-good story. The characters really need help, though.

I read somewhere that Evengelion will be on AS in the fall, along with the second season of GItS.
Evengelion people need help more than anyone I can think of. The AS people called Eva "The greatest anime ever."
How could that depressing, pointless show be the greatest ever?
Has Evengelion been around for over 30 years? (I dearly hope not! Just, die Shinji, once and for all...)
Hmph.
I'd like to give the AdultSwim people a talking to, ask how that can compare to something that has proved itself through time.

And the Evas are just weird lookin' anyways.

I've never seen Evangelian, but I have heard it's depressing. I almost went to see the movie, but it only played for three days out in West L.A. so I never made it. And I rarely ever rent movies, otherwise I would have watched it.

The Adult Swim people bug me for some reason. And I am not familiar with them enough for them to bug me. But they do. sweatdrop I think their little quote thing that they do has a lot to do with it.

GitS is an awesome show, though. 3nodding

From the Lupin mailing list come a Lupin-esque story:

Zantestupowaa
Vincent Cassel will play Jacques Mesrine, France's former Public Enemy No. 1, in a two-part project set to begin shooting next summer with Jean-Francois Richet directing from a script by Abdel Raouf Dafri says The Hollywood Reporter.

The two French-language films, with a total budget of $53.6 million, entitled "Death Instinct" and "Public Enemy Number One," are based on the true story of a French criminal known for his clever disguises, womanizing and audacious bank robberies and jail-breaks.

Born to a prosperous family in 1937, Mesrine became a legend in his lifetime, reportedly wearing designer clothes and displaying impeccable courtesy to those he robbed. Thanks to 'Miller'.

That sounds like a cool movie, or movies I guess, to see. I wonder if that is some weird French thing, a thief with all those characterizations. That or he liked the Arsene Lupin books and became a copycat.

I think it'd be pretty cool to see.
I have a little French in me, but I'm not like that.
So, he's a copycat. wink
However, if he was good enough to have two movies about him, he's a cool copycat. blaugh

I wish they had something like that with subtitles. That would be very nice. ^_^
I'd watch the movies anyway, though.
Lupin movies aren't too hard to understand.

Lupin The Great
Seriously their the most simplest of anime's I've ever seen.
They are.
Aside from Dragonball Z.
That's part of the appeal, though. They're simple and self-contained, so you can watch just about any one and understand. They stay simple without being stupid or bad. It stays straightforward.
That's why I can watch 155+ eps of Lupin, but not of Inuyasha.
